Padaµµh±navibh±goti te puññ±didhamm± yesa½ padaµµh±na½, tesa½ v± ye dhamm± padaµµh±na½, tabbibh±go. Yesa½ sutt±nanti m³lapadaµµh±nabh³t±na½ sa½kilesabh±giy±d²na½ catunna½ sutt±na½ vasena. Asaªkaravavatth±nena hi etesu suttesu s±tisaya½ dhamm± vibhatt± n±ma honti. Ten±ha “visesato”ti. Yadi eva½ kasm± v±san±bh±giyanibbedhabh±giyasutt±ni evettha gahit±n²ti? Tenev±ti niyamassa akatatt±, tato ca tena tannissitena ca brahmac±r² bhavat²ti siddha½ hoti. Eva-saddo v± samuccayattho daµµhabbo. Siy± tassa paµikkhepoti tassa aµµhasam±pattibrahmacariyassa siy± paµikkhepo. Eva½ sati s±vases± desan± siy±.
Tadaªg±dippah±nadvaya½ padaµµh±nabh³ta½ idha gaºan³paga½ na hot²ti “samucchedapaµippassaddhippah±n±na½ vasen±”ti vutta½. Tath± hettha keci “tenev±”ti paµhanti. “Teneva brahmacariyen±ti paµhant²”ti ida½ “sa½varas²le µhito”ti (netti. 33) ettha vutta½ p±¼ivikappa½ sandh±ya vadati. “Yasm±…pe… vakkhat²”ti ida½ pacchimap±µhasseva yuttat±ya k±raºavacana½.

Te hi aññamañña½ phusan±disabh±vato bhinn±pi yasmi½ pavattanti, tena vatthun± s±dh±raº± n±ma honti. Ettha ca labbham±nampi kusal±din±mas±dh±raºa½ an±masitv± vatthus±dh±raº± t±va yojit±ti veditabb±. Paµipakkh±d²h²ti ±disaddena sam±naphalat±sahabyat±dike saªgaºh±ti. Sesapades³ti “puthujjanass±”ti-±div±kyesu. Katha½? S±maññabh³t± dhamm± s±dh±raº± n±ma, eva½ sante katha½ tesa½ micchattaniyat±niyat±divasena vibh±gena pavattiµµh±nat± vuccati, na vattabbanti adhipp±yo.
