14. R±j± ±ha “bhante n±gasena, sakk± sabba½ sukhuma½ chinditun”ti? “¾ma, mah±r±ja, sakk± sabba½ sukhuma½ chinditun”ti. “Ki½ pana, bhante, sabba½ sukhuman”ti? “Dhammo kho, mah±r±ja, sabbasukhumo, na kho, mah±r±ja, dhamm± sabbe sukhum±, ‘sukhuman’ti v± ‘th³lan’ti v± dhamm±nametamadhivacana½. Ya½ kiñci chinditabba½, sabba½ ta½ paññ±ya chindati, natthi dutiya½ paññ±ya chedanan”ti.
“Kallosi, bhante n±gasen±”ti.

15. Viññ±ºan±natthapañho

15. R±j± ±ha “bhante n±gasena, ‘viññ±ºan’ti v± ‘paññ±’ti v± ‘bh³tasmi½ j²vo’ti v± ime dhamm± n±natth± ceva n±n±byañjan± ca, ud±hu ekatth± byañjanameva n±nan”ti “Vij±nanalakkhaºa½, mah±r±ja, viññ±ºa½, paj±nanalakkhaº± paññ±, bh³tasmi½ j²vo nupalabbhat²”ti. “Yadi j²vo nupalabbhati, atha ko carahi cakkhun± r³pa½ passati, sotena sadda½ suº±ti, gh±nena gandha½ gh±yati, jivh±ya rasa½ s±yati, k±yena phoµµhabba½ phusati, manas± dhamma½ vij±n±t²”ti? Thero ±ha “yadi j²vo cakkhun± r³pa½ passati…pe… manas± dhamma½ vij±n±ti, so j²vo cakkhudv±resu upp±µitesu mahantena ±k±sena bahimukho suµµhutara½ r³pa½ passeyya, sotesu upp±µitesu, gh±ne upp±µite, jivh±ya upp±µit±ya, k±ye upp±µite mahantena ±k±sena suµµhutara½ sadda½ suºeyya, gandha½ gh±yeyya, rasa½ s±yeyya, phoµµhabba½ phuseyy±”ti? “Na hi bhante”ti. “Tena hi, mah±r±ja, bh³tasmi½ j²vo nupalabbhat²”ti.
