Atha kho milindo r±j± sabba½ ta½ bhikkhusaªgha½ purato ca pacchato ca majjhato ca anuvilokento addas± kho ±yasmanta½ n±gasena½ d³ratova bhikkhusaªghassa majjhe nisinna½ kesaras²ha½ viya vigatabhayabherava½ vigatalomaha½sa½ vigatabhayas±rajja½, disv±na ±k±reneva aññ±si “eso kho ettha n±gaseno”ti.
Atha kho milindo r±j± devamantiya½ etadavoca “eso kho, devamantiya, ±yasm± n±gaseno”ti. “¾ma, mah±r±ja, eso kho n±gaseno, suµµhu kho, tva½ mah±r±ja, n±gasena½ aññ±s²”ti Tato r±j± tuµµho ahosi “anakkh±tova may± n±gaseno aññ±to”ti. Atha kho milindassa rañño ±yasmanta½ n±gasena½ disv±va ahudeva bhaya½, ahudeva chambhitatta½, ahudeva lomaha½so.
