R±j± ±ha “bhante n±gasena, yassa ñ±ºa½ uppanna½, tassa paññ± uppann±”ti? “¾ma, mah±r±ja, yassa ñ±ºa½ uppanna½, tassa paññ± uppann±”ti. “Ki½, bhante, yaññeva ñ±ºa½ s± yeva paññ±”ti? “¾ma, mah±r±ja, yaññeva ñ±ºa½ s± yeva paññ±”ti. “Yassa pana, bhante, taññeva ñ±ºa½ s± yeva paññ± uppann±, ki½ sammuyheyya so, ud±hu na sammuyheyy±”ti? “Katthaci, mah±r±ja, sammuyheyya, katthaci na sammuyheyy±”ti. “Kuhi½, bhante, sammuyheyy±”ti? “Aññ±tapubbesu v±, mah±r±ja, sippaµµh±nesu, agatapubb±ya v± dis±ya, assutapubb±ya v± n±mapaññattiy± sammuyheyy±”ti. “Kuhi½ na sammuyheyy±”ti? “Ya½ kho pana, mah±r±ja, t±ya paññ±ya kata½ ‘aniccan’ti v± ‘dukkhan’ti v± ‘anatt±’ti v±, tahi½ na sammuyheyy±”ti. “Moho panassa, bhante, kuhi½ gacchat²”ti? “Moho kho, mah±r±ja, ñ±ºe uppannamatte tattheva nirujjhat²”ti.
“Opamma½ karoh²”ti. “Yath±, mah±r±ja, kocideva puriso andhak±ragehe pad²pa½ ±ropeyya, tato andhak±ro nirujjheyya, ±loko p±tubhaveyya. Evameva kho, mah±r±ja, ñ±ºe uppannamatte moho tattheva nirujjhat²”ti.
“Paññ± pana, bhante, kuhi½ gacchat²”ti? “Paññ±pi kho, mah±r±ja, sakiccaya½ katv± tattheva nirujjhati, ya½ pana t±ya paññ±ya kata½ ‘aniccan’ti v± ‘dukkhan’ti v± ‘anatt±’ti v±, ta½ na nirujjhat²”ti.
“Bhante n±gasena, ya½ paneta½ br³si ‘paññ± sakiccaya½ katv± tattheva nirujjhati, ya½ pana t±ya paññ±ya kata½ ‘aniccan’ti v± ‘dukkhan’ti v± ‘anatt±’ti v±, ta½ na nirujjhat²’ti, tassa opamma½ karoh²”ti. “Yath±, mah±r±ja, yo koci puriso ratti½ lekha½ pesetuk±mo lekhaka½ pakkos±petv± pad²pa½ ±ropetv± lekha½ likh±peyya, likhite pana lekhe pad²pa½ vijjh±peyya, vijjh±pitepi pad²pe lekha½ na vinasseyya. Evameva kho, mah±r±ja, paññ± sakiccaya½ katv± tattheva nirujjhati, ya½ pana t±ya paññ±ya kata½ ‘aniccan’ti v± ‘dukkhan’ti v± ‘anatt±’ti v±, ta½ na nirujjhat²”ti.
“Bhiyyo opamma½ karoh²”ti. “Yath±, mah±r±ja, puratthimesu janapadesu manuss± anughara½ pañca pañca udakaghaµak±ni µhapenti ±limpana½ vijjh±petu½, ghare paditte t±ni pañca udakaghaµak±ni gharass³pari khipanti, tato aggi vijjh±yati, ki½ nu kho, mah±r±ja, tesa½ manuss±na½ eva½ hoti ‘puna tehi ghaµehi ghaµakicca½ kariss±m±”’ti? “Na hi, bhante, ala½ tehi ghaµehi, ki½ tehi ghaµeh²”ti? “Yath±, mah±r±ja, pañca udakaghaµak±ni, eva½ pañcindriy±ni daµµhabb±ni saddhindriya½ v²riyindriya½ satindriya½ sam±dhindriya½ paññindriya½. Yath± te manuss±, eva½ yog±vacaro daµµhabbo. Yath± aggi, eva½ kiles± daµµhabb±. Yath± pañcahi udakaghaµakehi aggi vijjh±p²yati, eva½ pañcindriyehi kiles± vijjh±piyanti, vijjh±pit±pi kiles± na puna sambhavanti. Evameva kho, mah±r±ja, paññ± sakiccaya½ katv± tattheva nirujjhati, ya½ pana t±ya paññ±ya kata½ ‘aniccan’ti v± ‘dukkhan’ti v± ‘anatt±’ti v±, ta½ na nirujjhat²”ti.
“Bhiyyo opamma½ karoh²”ti. “Yath±, mah±r±ja, vejjo pañcam³labhesajj±ni gahetv± gil±naka½ upasaªkamitv± t±ni pañcam³labhesajj±ni pisitv± [pi½sitv± (s². p².)] gil±naka½ p±yeyya, tehi ca dos± niddhameyyu½, ki½ nu kho, mah±r±ja, tassa vejjassa eva½ hoti ‘puna tehi pañcam³labhesajjehi bhesajjakicca½ kariss±m²”’ti? “Na hi, bhante, ala½ tehi pañcam³labhesajjehi, ki½ tehi pañcam³labhesajjeh²”ti? “Yath±, mah±r±ja, pañcam³labhesajj±ni, eva½ pañcindriy±ni daµµhabb±ni saddhindriya½ v²riyindriya½ satindriya½ sam±dhindriya½ paññindriya½, yath± vejjo, eva½ yog±vacaro daµµhabbo. “Bhiyyo opamma½ karoh²”ti. “Yath±, mah±r±ja, saªg±m±vacaro yodho pañca kaº¹±ni gahetv± saªg±ma½ otareyya parasena½ vijetu½, so saªg±magato t±ni pañca kaº¹±ni khipeyya, tehi ca parasen± bhijjeyya ki½ nu kho, mah±r±ja, tassa saªg±m±vacarassa yodhassa eva½ hoti ‘puna tehi kaº¹ehi kaº¹akicca½ kariss±m²”’ti? “Na hi, bhante, ala½ tehi kaº¹ehi, ki½ tehi kaº¹eh²”ti? “Yath±, mah±r±ja, pañca kaº¹±ni, eva½ pañcindriy±ni daµµhabb±ni saddhindriya½ v²riyindriya½ satindriya½ sam±dhindriya½ paññindriya½.
