Tasmi½ kho pana, bhante n±gasena, saªg±me ubhato balak±ye as²tikabandhar³p±ni ahesu½, ekasmi½ kira s²sakabandhe parip±te [paripuººe (sabbattha)] eka½ kabandhar³pa½ uµµhahati, sabbepete p±passeva kammassa vip±kena anayabyasana½ ±pann±. Imin±pi, bhante n±gasena, k±raºena bhaº±mi akusala½ yeva adhimatta½ balavatara½, no tath± kusalan”ti.

Yath±, mah±r±ja, aparante janapade kumudabhaº¹ik± n±ma dhaññaj±ti m±sal³n± [m±sap³r± (ka.)] antogehagat± hoti, s±layo chappañcam±sehi pariºamanti ki½ panettha, mah±r±ja, antara½ ko viseso kumudabhaº¹ik±ya ca s±l²nañc±”ti? “Parittatt±, bhante, kumudabhaº¹ik±ya, vipulatt± ca s±l²na½. “Ya½ tattha, bhante n±gasena, khippa½ pariºamati, ta½ n±ma loke adhimatta½ balavatara½, tasm± akusala½ balavatara½, no tath± kusala½. Yath± n±ma, bhante n±gasena, yo koci yodho mahatimah±yuddha½ pavisitv± paµisattu½ upakacchake gahetv± ±ka¹¹hitv± khippatara½ s±mino upaneyya, so yodho loke samattho s³ro n±ma. Yo ca bhisakko khippa½ salla½ uddharati rogamapaneti, so bhisakko cheko n±ma. Yo gaºako s²ghas²gha½ gaºetv± khippa½ dassayati, so gaºako cheko n±ma. Yo mallo khippa½ paµimalla½ ukkhipitv± utt±naka½ p±teti, so mallo samattho s³ro n±ma. Evameva kho, bhante n±gasena, ya½ khippa½ pariºamati kusala½ v± akusala½ v±, ta½ loke adhimatta½ balavataran”ti.
“Ubhayampi ta½, mah±r±ja, kamma½ sampar±yavedan²yameva, api ca kho akusala½ s±vajjat±ya khaºena diµµhadhammavedan²ya½ hoti, pubbakehi, mah±r±ja, khattiyehi µhapito eso niyamo ‘yo p±ºa½ hanati, so daº¹±raho…pe… yo adinna½ ±diyati…pe… yo parad±ra½ gacchati…pe… yo mus± bhaºati…pe… yo g±ma½ gh±teti…pe… yo pantha½ d³seti…pe… yo nikati½ karoti…pe… yo vañcana½ karoti, so daº¹±raho vadhitabbo chettabbo bhettabbo hantabbo’ti.
