Agedhat± nir±layat± c±go pah±na½ apunar±vattit± sukhumat± mahantat± duranubodhat± dullabhat± asadisat± buddhadhammassa, so kho pan±ya½, mah±r±ja, kittisaddo nipuº±na½ viññ³na½ vid³na½ vibh±v²na½ bodhisatt±na½ ime dasa guºe anudassat²”ti.
“Bhante n±gasena, yo para½ dukkh±petv± d±na½ deti, api nu ta½ d±na½ sukhavip±ka½ hoti saggasa½vattanikan”ti? “¾ma, mah±r±ja, ki½ vattabban”ti. “Iªgha, bhante n±gasena, k±raºa½ upadasseh²”ti. “Idha, mah±r±ja, koci samaºo v± br±hmaºo v± s²lav± hoti kaly±ºadhammo, so bhaveyya pakkhahato v± p²µhasapp² v± aññatara½ v± by±dhi½ ±panno, tamena½ yo koci puññak±mo y±na½ ±ropetv± patthita½ desamanup±peyya, api nu kho, mah±r±ja, tassa purisassa tatonid±na½ kiñci sukha½ nibbatteyya saggasa½vattanika½ ta½ kamman”ti? “¾ma, bhante, ki½ vattabba½? D±napatho ca me aparih²no bhavissati, dukkhite ca me puttake vanam³laphalehi itonid±na½ ayyako mocessat²ti. J±n±ti hi, mah±r±ja, vessantaro r±j± ‘na me d±rak± sakk± kenaci d±sabhogena bhuñjitu½, ime ca d±rake ayyako nikkiºissati, eva½ amh±kampi gamana½ bhavissat²’ti.
