[3] “Bhante n±gasena, bh±sitampeta½ bhagavat± ‘gihino v±ha½, bhikkhave, pabbajitassa v± samm±paµipatti½ vaººemi, gih² v± bhikkhave pabbajito v± samm±paµipanno samm±paµipatt±dhikaraºahetu ±r±dhako hoti ñ±ya½ dhamma½ kusalan”ti. Yadi, bhante n±gasena, gih² od±tavasano k±mabhog² puttad±rasamb±dhasayana½ ajjh±vasanto k±sikacandana½ paccanubhonto m±l±gandhavilepana½ dh±rento j±tar³parajata½ s±diyanto maºikuº¹ala [maºikanaka (s². p².)] vicittamo¼ibaddho samm±paµipanno ±r±dhako hoti ñ±ya½ dhamma½ kusala½, pabbajitopi bhaº¹uk±s±vavatthavasano parapiº¹amajjhupagato cat³su s²lakkhandhesu samm±parip³rak±r² diya¹¹hesu sikkh±padasatesu sam±d±ya vattanto terasasu dhutaguºesu anavasesa½ vattanto samm±paµipanno ±r±dhako hoti ñ±ya½ dhamma½ kusala½. Tattha, bhante, ko viseso gihino v± pabbajitassa v±? Aphala½ hoti tapokamma½, niratthak± pabbajj±. Vañjh± sikkh±padagopan±, mogha½ dhutaguºasam±d±na½, ki½ tattha dukkhamanuciººena, nanu n±ma sukheneva sukha½ adhigantabban”ti.
“Bh±sitampeta½, mah±r±ja, bhagavat± ‘gihino v±ha½, bhikkhave, pabbajitassa v± samm±paµipatti½ vaººemi, gih² v±, bhikkhave, pabbajito v± samm±paµipanno samm±paµipatt±dhikaraºahetu ±r±dhako hoti ñ±ya½ dhamma½ kusalan”ti. Evameta½, mah±r±ja, samm±paµipannova seµµho, pabbajitopi, mah±r±ja, ‘pabbajitomh²’ti na samm± paµipajjeyya, atha kho so ±rak±va s±maññ±, ±rak±va brahmaññ±, pageva gih² od±tavasano. Gih²pi, mah±r±ja, samm±paµipanno ±r±dhako hoti ñ±ya½ dhamma½ kusala½, pabbajitopi, mah±r±ja, samm±paµipanno ±r±dhako hoti ñ±ya½ dhamma½ kusala½.
“Api ca kho, mah±r±ja, pabbajitova s±maññassa issaro adhipati; pabbajj±, mah±r±ja, bahuguº± anekaguº± appam±ºaguº±, na sakk± pabbajj±ya guºa½ parim±ºa½ k±tu½.
“Yath±, mah±r±ja, k±madadassa maºiratanassa na sakk± dhanena aggho parim±ºa½ k±tu½ ‘ettaka½ maºiratanassa m³lan’ti, evameva kho, mah±r±ja, pabbajj± bahuguº± anekaguº± appam±ºaguº±, na sakk± pabbajj±ya guºa½ parim±ºa½ k±tu½.
“Yath± v± pana, mah±r±ja, mah±samudde ³miyo na sakk± parim±ºa½ k±tu½ ‘ettak± mah±samudde ³miyo’ti, evameva kho, mah±r±ja, pabbajj± bahuguº± anekaguº± appam±ºaguº±, na sakk± pabbajj±ya guºa½ parim±ºa½ k±tu½.
“Pabbajitassa, mah±r±ja, ya½ kiñci karaº²ya½, sabba½ ta½ khippameva samijjhati no ciraratt±ya. Ki½ k±raº±? Pabbajito, mah±r±ja, appiccho hoti santuµµho pavivitto asa½saµµho ±raddhav²riyo nir±layo aniketo paripuººas²lo sallekhit±c±ro dhutappaµipattikusalo hoti, ta½ k±raº± pabbajitassa ya½ kiñci karaº²ya½, sabba½ ta½ khippameva samijjhati no ciraratt±ya. Yath±, mah±r±ja, niggaºµhisamasudhota-ujuvimalan±r±co susajjito samm± vahati, evameva kho, mah±r±ja, pabbajitassa ya½ kiñci karaº²ya½, sabba½ ta½ khippameva samijjhati no ciraratt±y±”ti. “S±dhu, bhante n±gasena, evameta½ tath± sampaµicch±m²”ti.
