Bhante n±gasena, ko panettha viseso, ki½ k±raºa½, yañcekena mus±v±dena ucchijjati, yañcekena mus±v±dena satekiccho hoti? Yadi, bhante n±gasena, bhagavat± bhaºita½ ‘sampaj±namus±v±de p±r±jiko hot²’ti, tena hi ‘sampaj±namus±v±de lahuka½ ±patti½ ±pajjati ekassa santike desan±vatthukan’ti ya½ vacana½, ta½ micch±. Yadi tath±gatena bhaºita½ ‘sampaj±namus±v±de lahuka½ ±patti½ ±pajjati ekassa santike desan±vatthukan’ti, tena hi ‘sampaj±namus±v±de p±r±jiko hot²’ti tampi vacana½ micch±. Ayampi ubhato koµiko pañho tav±nuppatto, so tay± nibb±hitabbo”ti.
“Bh±sitampeta½ mah±r±ja, bhagavat± ‘sampaj±namus±v±de p±r±jiko hot²’ti. Bhaºitañca ‘sampaj±namus±v±de lahuka½ ±patti½ ±pajjati ekassa santike desan±vatthukan’ti, tañca pana vatthuvasena garukalahuka½ hoti. Ta½ ki½ maññasi, mah±r±ja, idha koci puriso parassa p±ºin± pah±ra½ dadeyya, tassa tumhe ki½ daº¹a½ dh±reth±”ti? “Yadi so, bhante, ±ha ‘nakkham±m²’ti, tassa maya½ akkhamam±ne kah±paºa½ har±pem±”ti “idha pana, mah±r±ja, so yeva puriso tava p±ºin± pah±ra½ dadeyya, tassa pana ko daº¹o”ti? “Hatthampissa, bhante, ched±peyy±ma, p±dampi ched±peyy±ma, y±va s²sa½ ka¼²racchejja½ ched±peyy±ma, sabbampi ta½ geha½ vilump±peyy±ma, ubhatopakkhe [ubhatopasse (s². p². ka.)] y±va sattama½ kula½ samuggh±t±peyy±m±”ti. “Ko panettha, mah±r±ja, viseso, ki½ k±raºa½, ya½ ekassa p±ºippah±re sukhumo kah±paºo daº¹o, ya½ tava p±ºippah±re hatthacchejja½ p±dacchejja½ y±va ka¼²racchejja½ sabbageh±d±na½ ubhatopakkhe y±va sattamakul± samuggh±to”ti? “Manussantarena, bhante”ti. “Evameva kho, mah±r±ja, sampaj±namus±v±do vatthuvasena garukalahuko hot²”ti. “S±dhu, bhante n±gasena, evameta½ tath± sampaµicch±m²”ti.
