Niggaho n±ma, bhante n±gasena, hatthacchedo p±dacchedo vadho bandhana½ k±raº± m±raºa½ santativikopana½, na eta½ vacana½ bhagavato yutta½, na ca bhagav± arahati eta½ vacana½ vattu½. Yadi, bhante n±gasena, bhagavat± bhaºita½ ‘ahi½saya½ para½ loke, piyo hohisi m±mako”ti, tena hi “niggaºhe niggah±raha½, paggaºhe paggah±rahan”ti ya½ vacana½, ta½ micch±. Yadi tath±gatena bhaºita½ “niggaºhe niggah±raha½, paggaºhe paggah±rahan”ti, tena hi “ahi½saya½ para½ loke, piyo hohisi m±mako”ti tampi vacana½ micch±. Ayampi ubhato koµiko pañho tav±nuppatto, so tay± nibb±hitabbo”ti.
“Bh±sitampeta½, mah±r±ja, bhagavat± ‘ahi½saya½ para½ loke, piyo hohisi m±mako’ti, bhaºitañca ‘niggaºhe niggah±raha½, paggaºhe paggah±rahan’ti ‘Ahi½saya½ para½ loke, piyo hohisi m±mako’ti sabbesa½, mah±r±ja, tath±gat±na½ anumata½ eta½, es± anusiµµhi, es± dhammadesan±, dhammo hi, mah±r±ja, ahi½s±lakkhaºo, sabh±vavacana½ eta½. Ya½ pana, mah±r±ja, tath±gato ±ha ‘niggaºhe niggah±raha½, paggaºhe paggah±rahan’ti, bh±s± es±, uddhata½, mah±r±ja, citta½ niggahetabba½, l²na½ citta½ paggahetabba½. Akusala½ citta½ niggahetabba½, kusala½ citta½ paggahetabba½. Ayoniso manasik±ro niggahetabbo, yoniso manasik±ro paggahetabbo. Micch±paµipanno niggahetabbo, samm±paµipanno paggahetabbo. Anariyo niggahetabbo ariyo paggahetabbo. Coro niggahetabbo, acoro paggahetabbo”ti.

Coro pana, bhante n±gasena, niggaºhantena katha½ niggahetabbo”ti? “Coro, mah±r±ja, niggaºhantena eva½ niggahetabbo, paribh±san²yo paribh±sitabbo, daº¹an²yo daº¹etabbo, pabb±jan²yo pabb±jetabbo, bandhan²yo bandhitabbo, gh±tan²yo gh±tetabbo”ti. “Ya½ pana, bhante n±gasena, cor±na½ gh±tana½, ta½ tath±gat±na½ anumatan”ti? “Na hi, mah±r±j±”ti. “Kissa pana coro anus±san²yo anumato tath±gat±nan”ti? “Yo so, mah±r±ja, gh±t²yati, na so tath±gat±na½ anumatiy± gh±t²yati, saya½katena so gh±t²yati, api ca dhamm±nusiµµhiy± anus±s²yati, sakk± pana, mah±r±ja, tay± purisa½ ak±raka½ anapar±dha½ v²thiya½ caranta½ gahetv± gh±tayitun”ti? “Na sakk±, bhante”ti. “Kena k±raºena, mah±r±j±”ti? “Ak±rakatt±, bhante”ti. “Evameva kho, mah±r±ja, na coro tath±gat±na½ anumatiy± haññati, saya½katena so haññati, ki½ panettha anus±sako kiñci dosa½ ±pajjat²”ti? “Na hi bhante”ti. “Tena hi, mah±r±ja, tath±gat±na½ anusiµµhi samm±nusiµµhi hot²”ti. “S±dhu, bhante n±gasena, evameta½ tath± sampaµicch±m²”ti.
