3. “Bhante n±gasena, bh±sitampeta½ tath±gatena–
“‘K±yena sa½varo s±dhu [dha. pa. 361], s±dhu v±c±ya sa½varo;
manas± sa½varo s±dhu, s±dhu sabbattha sa½varo’ti.
“Puna ca tath±gato catunna½ paris±na½ majjhe nis²ditv± purato devamanuss±na½ selassa br±hmaºassa kosohita½ vatthaguyha½ dassesi. Yadi, bhante n±gasena, bhagavat± bhaºita½ ‘k±yena sa½varo s±dh³’ti, tena hi selassa br±hmaºassa kosohita½ vatthaguyha½ dasses²ti ya½ vacana½, ta½ micch±. Yadi selassa br±hmaºassa kosohita½ vatthaguyha½ dasseti, tena hi ‘k±yena sa½varo s±dh³’ti tampi vacana½ micch±. Ayampi ubhato koµiko pañho tav±nuppatto, so tay± nibb±hitabbo”ti.
“Bh±sitampeta½, mah±r±ja, bhagavat± ‘k±yena sa½varo s±dh³’ti, selassa ca br±hmaºassa kosohita½ vatthaguyha½ dassita½. Yassa kho, mah±r±ja, tath±gate kaªkh± uppann±, tassa bodhanatth±ya bhagav± iddhiy± tappaµibh±ga½ k±ya½ dasseti, so yeva ta½ p±µih±riya½ passat²”ti.
“Ko paneta½, bhante n±gasena, saddahissati, ya½ parisagato eko yeva ta½ guyha½ passati, avases± tattheva vasant± na passant²ti. Iªgha me tva½ tattha k±raºa½ upadisa, k±raºena ma½ saññ±peh²”ti. “Diµµhapubbo pana tay±, mah±r±ja, koci by±dhito puriso parikiººo ñ±timitteh²”ti. “¾ma bhante”ti. “Api nu kho s±, mah±r±ja, paris± passateta½ vedana½, y±ya so puriso vedan±ya vedayat²”ti. “Na hi bhante, attan± yeva so, bhante, puriso vedayat²”ti. “Evameva kho, mah±r±ja, yasseva tath±gate kaªkh± uppann±, tasseva tath±gato bodhanatth±ya iddhiy± tappaµibh±ga½ k±ya½ dasseti, so yeva ta½ p±µih±riya½ passati.
“Yath± v± pana, mah±r±ja, kañcideva purisa½ bh³to ±viseyya, api nu kho s±, mah±r±ja, paris± passati ta½ bh³t±gamanan”ti? “Na hi, bhante, so yeva ±turo tassa bh³tassa ±gamana½ passat²”ti. “Evameva kho, mah±r±ja, yasseva tath±gate kaªkh± uppann±, tasseva tath±gato bodhanatth±ya iddhiy± tappaµibh±ga½ k±ya½ dasseti, so yeva ta½ p±µih±riya½ passat²”ti.
“Dukkara½, bhante n±gasena, bhagavat± kata½, ya½ ekassapi adassan²ya½, ta½ dassenten±”ti. “Na, mah±r±ja, bhagav± guyha½ dassesi iddhiy± pana ch±ya½ dasses²”ti. “Ch±y±yapi, bhante, diµµh±ya diµµha½ yeva hoti guyha½, ya½ disv± niµµha½ gato”ti. “Dukkarañc±pi, mah±r±ja, tath±gato karoti bodhaneyye satte bodhetu½. Yadi, mah±r±ja, tath±gato kiriya½ h±peyya, bodhaneyy± satt± na bujjheyyu½. Yasm± ca kho, mah±r±ja, yogaññ³ tath±gato bodhaneyye satte bodhetu½, tasm± tath±gato yena yena yogena bodhaneyy± bujjhanti, tena tena yogena bodhaneyye bodheti.
“Yath±, mah±r±ja, bhisakko sallakatto yena yena bhesajjena ±turo arogo hoti, tena tena bhesajjena ±tura½ upasaªkamati, vaman²ya½ vameti, virecan²ya½ vireceti, anulepan²ya½ anulimpeti, anuv±san²ya½ anuv±seti. Evameva kho, mah±r±ja, tath±gato yena yena yogena bodhaneyy± satt± bujjhanti, tena tena yogena bodheti.
“Yath± v± pana, mah±r±ja, itth² m³¼hagabbh± bhisakkassa adassan²ya½ guyha½ dasseti, evameva kho, mah±r±ja, tath±gato bodhaneyye satte bodhetu½ adassan²ya½ guyha½ iddhiy± ch±ya½ dassesi. Natthi, mah±r±ja, adassan²yo n±ma ok±so puggala½ up±d±ya. Yadi, mah±r±ja, koci bhagavato hadaya½ disv± bujjheyya, tassapi bhagav± yogena hadaya½ dasseyya, yogaññ³, mah±r±ja, tath±gato desan±kusalo.
“Nanu, mah±r±ja, tath±gato therassa nandassa adhimutti½ j±nitv± ta½ devabhavana½ netv± devakaññ±yo dassesi ‘imin±ya½ kulaputto bujjhissat²’ti, tena ca so kulaputto bujjhi. Iti kho, mah±r±ja, tath±gato anekapariy±yena subhanimitta½ h²¼ento garahanto jigucchanto tassa bodhanahetu kakuµap±diniyo acchar±yo dassesi. Evampi tath±gato yogaññ³ desan±kusalo.
“Puna capara½, mah±r±ja, tath±gato therassa c³¼apanthakassa bh±tar± nikka¹¹hitassa dukkhitassa dummanassa upagantv± sukhuma½ co¼akhaº¹a½ ad±si ‘imin±ya½ kulaputto bujjhissat²’ti so ca kulaputto tena k±raºena jinas±sane vas²bh±va½ p±puºi. Evampi, mah±r±ja, tath±gato yogaññ³ desan±kusalo.
“Puna capara½, mah±r±ja, tath±gato br±hmaºassa moghar±jassa y±va tatiya½ pañha½ puµµho na by±k±si ‘evamimassa kulaputtassa m±no upasamissati, m±n³pasam± abhisamayo bhavissat²’ti, tena ca tassa kulaputtassa m±no upasami, m±n³pasam± so br±hmaºo chasu abhiññ±su vas²bh±va½ p±puºi. Evampi, mah±r±ja, tath±gato yogaññ³ desan±kusalo”ti.
“S±dhu, bhante n±gasena, sunibbeµhito pañho bahuvidhehi k±raºehi, gahana½ agahana½ kata½, andhak±ro ±loko kato, gaºµhi bhinno, bhagg± parav±d±, jinaputt±na½ cakkhu½ tay± upp±dita½, nippaµibh±n± titthiy±, tva½ gaºivarapavaram±sajj±”ti.
