Idha pana attano paccayehi dh±r²yant²ti dhamm±, paccayasamuppann± dhamm± tiµµhanti uppajjanti ceva pavattanti ca et±y±ti dhammaµµhiti, paccayadhamm±nameta½ adhivacana½ Tassa½ dhammaµµhitiya½ ñ±ºa½ dhammaµµhitiñ±ºa½. Idañhi sam±dhibh±van±mayañ±ºe vuttasam±dhin± sam±hitena cittena yath±bh³tañ±ºadassanatth±ya yogam±rabhitv± vavatth±pitan±mar³passa tesa½ n±mar³p±na½ paccayapariggahapariy±ya½ dhammaµµhitiñ±ºa½ uppajjati. “N±mar³pavavatth±ne ñ±ºan”ti avatv± eva kasm± “dhammaµµhitiñ±ºan”ti vuttanti ce? Paccayapariggaheneva paccayasamuppannapariggahassa siddhatt±. Paccayasamuppanne hi apariggahite paccayapariggaho na sakk± hoti k±tu½. Tasm± dhammaµµhitiñ±ºagahaºeneva tassa hetubh³ta½ pubbe siddha½ n±mar³pavavatth±nañ±ºa½ vuttameva hot²ti veditabba½. Kasm± dutiyatatiyañ±ºa½ viya “sam±dahitv± paccayapariggahe paññ±”ti na vuttanti ce? Samathavipassan±na½ yuganaddhatt±.

“Sam±dahitv± yath± ce vipassati, vipassam±no tath± ce sam±dahe;
vipassan± ca samatho tad± ahu, sam±nabh±g± yuganaddh± vattare”ti.–

Hi vutta½. Tasm± sam±dhi½ avissajjetv± sam±dhiñca ñ±ºañca yuganaddha½ katv± y±va ariyamaggo, t±va ussukk±petabbanti ñ±panattha½ “paccayapariggahe paññ± dhammaµµhitiñ±ºa”micceva vuttanti veditabba½.

At²t±n±gatapaccuppann±na½ dhamm±na½ saªkhipitv± vavatth±ne paññ±ti ettha attano sabh±va½, upp±d±dikkhaºa½ v± patv± ati it± atikkant±ti at²t±, tadubhayampi na ±gat± na sampatt±ti an±gat±, ta½ ta½ k±raºa½ paµicca upp±d±di-uddha½ pann± gat± pavatt±ti paccuppann±. Addh± santatikhaºapaccuppannesu santatipaccuppanna½ idh±dhippeta½. Tesa½ at²t±n±gatapaccuppann±na½ pañcakkhandhadhamm±na½ ekekakkhandhalakkhaºe saªkhipitv± kal±pavasena r±si½ katv± vavatth±ne nicchayane sanniµµh±pane paññ±.
Sammasane ñ±ºanti samm± ±masane anumajjane pekkhaºe ñ±ºa½, kal±pasammasanañ±ºanti attho. Idañhi n±mar³pavavatth±nañ±º±nantara½ n±mar³papaccayapariggahe dhammaµµhitiñ±ºe µhitassa “ya½kiñci r³pa½ at²t±n±gatapaccuppanna½ ajjhatta½ v± bahiddh± v± o¼±rika½ v± sukhuma½ v± h²na½ v± paº²ta½ v± ya½ d³re santike v±, sabba½ ta½ r³pa½ aniccato vavatthapeti, eka½ sammasana½, dukkhato vavatthapeti, eka½ sammasana½, anattato vavatthapeti, eka½ sammasanan”ti-±din± (paµi. ma. 1.48) nayena vuttasammasanavasena pubbe vavatth±pite ekekasmi½ khandhe tilakkhaºa½ ±ropetv± aniccato dukkhato anattato vipassantassa kal±pasammasanañ±ºa½ uppajjati.
6. Paccuppann±na½ dhamm±na½ vipariº±m±nupassane paññ±ti santativasena paccuppann±na½ ajjhatta½ pañcakkhandhadhamm±na½ vipariº±madassane bhaªgadassane paññ±. Yasm± “ime dhamm± uppajjitv± bhijjant²”ti udaya½ gahetv±pi bhedeyeva citta½ µhapeti, tasm± avuttopi udayo vuttoyeva hot²ti veditabbo. Paccuppann±na½ dhamm±na½ dassanena v± udayadassanassa siddhatt± udayo vuttoyeva hoti. Na hi udaya½ vin± dhamm±na½ uppannatta½ sijjhati, tasm± “paccuppann±na½ dhamm±na½ upp±davipariº±m±nupassane paññ±”ti avuttepi vuttameva hot²ti veditabba½. “Udayabbay±nupassane ñ±ºan”ti niyamitatt± ca udayadassana½ siddhameva hot²ti anantara½ vuttassa sammasanañ±ºassa p±ra½ gantv± ta½sammasaneyeva p±kaµ²bh³te udayabbaye pariggaºhitv± saªkh±r±na½ paricchedakaraºattha½ udayabbay±nupassana½ ±rabhantassa uppajjati udayabbay±nupassan±ñ±ºa½. Tañhi udayabbaye anupassanato udayabbay±nupassan±ti vuccati.
7. ¾rammaºa½ paµisaªkh±ti r³pakkhandh±di-±rammaºa½ bhaªgato paµisaªkh±ya j±nitv± passitv±. Bhaªg±nupassane paññ± vipassane ñ±ºanti tassa ±rammaºa½ bhaªgato paµisaªkh±ya uppannassa ñ±ºassa bhaªga½ anupassane y± paññ±, ta½ “vipassane ñ±ºan”ti vutta½ hoti. Vipassan±ti ca vividh± passan± vipassan±. ¾rammaºapaµisaªkh±tipi p±µho. Tassattho ±rammaºassa paµisaªkh± j±nan± passan±ti vuttanayeneva ±rammaºapaµisaªkh± “bhaªg±nupassane paññ± vipassane ñ±ºan”ti vutta½ hoti. Yasm± pana bhaªg±nupassan±ya eva vipassan± sikha½ p±puº±ti, tasm± visesetv± idameva “vipassane ñ±ºan”ti vutta½. Yasm± udayabbay±nupassan±ya µhitassa magg±maggañ±ºadassana½ uppajjati, tasm± tass± siddh±ya ta½ siddhameva hot²ti ta½ avatv±va bhaªg±nupassan±ya eva vipassan±sikha½ ñ±ºa½ vuttanti veditabba½. Udayabbay±nupassan±ya suparidiµµha-udayabbayassa suparicchinnesu saªkh±resu lahu½ lahu½ upaµµhahantesu ñ±ºe tikkhe vahante udaya½ pah±ya bhaªge eva sati santiµµhati, tassa “eva½ uppajjitv± eva½ n±ma saªkh±r± bhijjant²”ti passato etasmi½ µh±ne bhaªg±nupassan±ñ±ºa½ uppajjati.
8. Bhayatupaµµh±ne paññ±ti upp±dapavattanimitta-±y³han±paµisandh²na½ bhayato upaµµh±ne p²¼±yogato sappaµibhayavasena gahaº³pagamane paññ±ti attho. Bhayato upaµµh±t²ti bhayatupaµµh±na½ ±rammaºa½ tasmi½ bhayatupaµµh±ne. Atha v± bhayato upatiµµhat²ti bhayatupaµµh±na½, paññ±, ta½ “bhayatupaµµh±nan”ti vutta½ hoti.
¾d²nave ñ±ºanti bhummavacanameva. “Y± ca bhayatupaµµh±ne paññ±, yañca ±d²nave ñ±ºa½, y± ca nibbid±, ime dhamm± ekaµµh±, byañjanameva n±nan”ti (paµi. ma. 1.227) vuttatt± ekamiva vuccam±nampi avatth±bhedena muñcitukamyat±di viya tividhameva hoti. Tasm± bhayatupaµµh±na-±d²nav±nupassan±su siddh±su nibbid±nupassan± siddh± hot²ti katv± avutt±pi vutt±va hot²ti veditabb±.
Sabbasaªkh±r±na½ bhaªg±rammaºa½ bhaªg±nupassana½ ±sevantassa bh±ventassa bahul²karontassa tibhavacatuyonipañcagatisattaviññ±ºaµµhitinavasatt±v±sesu pabhedak± saªkh±r± sukhena j²vituk±massa bh²rukapurisassa s²habyagghad²pi-acchataracchayakkharakkhasacaº¹agoºacaº¹akukkurapabhinna- madacaº¹ahatthighora-±sivisa-asanivicakkasus±naraºabh³mijalita-aªg±rak±su-±dayo viya mah±bhaya½ hutv± upaµµhahanti, tassa “at²t± saªkh±r± niruddh±, paccuppann± nirujjhanti, an±gat±pi evameva nirujjhissant²”ti passato etasmi½ µh±ne bhayatupaµµh±na½ ñ±ºa½ uppajjati. Tassa ta½ bhayatupaµµh±nañ±ºa½ ±sevantassa bh±ventassa bahul²karontassa sabbabhavayonigatiµhitisatt±v±sesu neva t±ºa½ na leºa½ na gati na paµisaraºa½ paññ±yati, sabbabhavayonigatiµhitiniv±sagatesu saªkh±resu ekasaªkh±repi patthan± v± par±m±so v± na hoti, tayo bhav± v²taccitaªg±rapuºº± aªg±rak±suyo viya, catt±ro mah±bh³t± ghoravis± ±sivis± viya, pañcakkhandh± ukkhitt±sik± vadhak± viya, cha ajjhattik±yatan±ni suññag±mo viya, cha b±hir±yatan±ni g±magh±takacor± viya, sattaviññ±ºaµµhitiyo nava ca satt±v±s± ek±dasahi agg²hi ±ditt± sampajjalit± sajotibh³t± viya ca, sabbe saªkh±r± gaº¹abh³t± rogabh³t± sallabh³t± aghabh³t± ±b±dhabh³t± viya ca nirass±d± niras± mah±-±d²navar±sibh³t± hutv± upaµµhahanti, sukhena j²vituk±massa bh²rukapurisassa ramaº²y±k±rasaºµhitampi sav±¼akamiva vanagahana½, sasadd³l± viya guh±, sag±harakkhasa½ viya udaka½, samussitakhagg± viya paccatthik±, savisa½ viya bhojana½, sacoro viya maggo, ±dittamiva ag±ra½, uyyuttasen± viya raºabh³mi. Yath± hi so puriso et±ni sav±¼akavanagahan±d²ni ±gamma bh²to sa½viggo lomahaµµhaj±to samantato ±d²navameva passati, evameva so yog±vacaro bhaªg±nupassan±vasena sabbasaªkh±resu bhayato upaµµhitesu samantato nirasa½ nirass±da½ ±d²navameva passati. Tasseva½ passato ±d²nav±nupassan±ñ±ºa½ uppajjati.
So eva½ sabbasaªkh±re ±d²navato sampassanto sabbabhavayonigativiññ±ºaµµhitisatt±v±sagate sabhedake saªkh±ragate nibbindati ukkaºµhati n±bhiramati. Seyyath±pi n±ma cittak³µapabbatap±d±bhirato suvaººar±jaha½so asucimhi caº¹±lag±madv±ra-±v±µe n±bhiramati, sattasu mah±saresuyeva abhiramati, evameva aya½ yog²r±jaha½so suparidiµµh±d²nave sabhedake saªkh±ragate n±bhiramati, bh±van±r±mat±ya pana bh±van±ratiy± samann±gatatt± sattasu anupassan±suyeva abhiramati. Yath± ca suvaººapañjarepi pakkhitto s²ho migar±j± n±bhiramati, tiyojanasahassavitthate pana himavanteyeva ramati, evamayampi yog²s²ho tividhe sugatibhavepi n±bhiramati, t²su anupassan±suyeva ramati. Yath± ca sabbaseto sattappatiµµho iddhim± veh±saªgamo chaddanto n±gar±j± nagaramajjhe n±bhiramati, himavati chaddantarahadeyeva ramati, evamaya½ yog²varav±raºo sabbasmimpi saªkh±ragate n±bhiramati, “anupp±do kheman”ti-±din± (paµi. ma. 1.53) nayena niddiµµhe santipadeyeva ramati, tanninnatappoºatappabbh±ram±naso hoti. Ett±vat± tassa nibbid±nupassan±ñ±ºa½ uppanna½ hot²ti.
9. Muñcitukamyat±paµisaªkh±santiµµhan± paññ± saªkh±rupekkh±su ñ±ºanti muñcitu½ cajitu½ k±meti icchat²ti muñcituk±mo, muñcituk±massa bh±vo muñcitukamyat±. Paµisaªkh±ti upaparikkhat²ti paµisaªkh±, paµisaªkh±na½ v± paµisaªkh±. Santiµµhati ajjhupekkhat²ti santiµµhan±, santiµµhana½ v± santiµµhan±. Muñcitukamyat± ca s± paµisaªkh± ca santiµµhan± c±ti muñcitukamyat±paµisaªkh±santiµµhan±. Iti pubbabh±ge nibbid±ñ±ºena nibbinnassa upp±d±d²ni pariccajituk±mat± muñcitukamyat±. Muñcanassa up±yakaraºattha½ majjhe paµisaªkh±na½ paµisaªkh±. Muñcitv± avas±ne ajjhupekkhana½ santiµµhan±. Eva½ avatth±bhedena tippak±r± paññ± saªkh±r±na½ ajjhupekkhan±su ñ±ºa½, muñcitukamyat±paµisaªkh±santiµµhan±saªkh±t±na½ avatth±bhedena bhinn±na½ tissannampi paññ±na½ saªkh±rupekkhata½ icchantena pana “paññ±”ti ca “saªkh±rupekkh±s³”ti ca bahuvacana½ kata½, avatth±bhedena bhinnass±pi ekatt± “ñ±ºan”ti ekavacana½ katanti veditabba½. Vuttañca– “y± ca muñcitukamyat± y± ca paµisaªkh±nupassan± y± ca saªkh±rupekkh±, ime dhamm± ekaµµh±, byañjanameva n±nan”ti (paµi. ma. 1.227). Keci pana “saªkh±rupekkh±s³ti bahuvacana½ samathavipassan±vasena saªkh±rupekkh±na½ bahutt±”tipi vadanti. Saªkh±rupekkh±s³ti ca kiriy±pekkhanti veditabba½. Avatth±bhedena pana tena nibbid±ñ±ºena nibbindantassa ukkaºµhantassa sabbabhavayonigativiññ±ºaµµhitisatt±v±sagatesu sabhedakesu saªkh±resu citta½ na sajjati na laggati na bajjhati, sabbasaªkh±ragata½ muñcituk±ma½ cha¹¹etuk±ma½ hoti.
