Tañhi r±j±na½ dhammassavanatth±ya ±gata½ satth± ±mantetv± “mah±r±ja, raññ± n±ma dhammena rajja½ k±retabba½, yasmiñhi samaye r±j±no adhammik± honti, r±jayutt±pi tasmi½ samaye adhammik± hont²”ti catukkanip±te (a. ni. 4.70) ±gatasuttanayena ovaditv± agatigamane agati-agamane ca ±d²navañca ±nisa½sañca kathetv± “supinak³pam± k±m±”ti-±din± nayena k±mesu ±d²nava½ vitth±retv±, “mah±r±ja, imesañhi satt±na½–
‘Maccun± saªgaro natthi, lañjagg±ho na vijjati;
yuddha½ natthi jayo natthi, sabbe maccupar±yaº±’.
Tesa½ paraloka½ gacchant±na½ µhapetv± attan± kata½ kaly±ºakamma½ aññ± patiµµh± n±ma natthi. Eva½ ittarapaccupaµµh±na½ avassa½ pah±tabba½, na yasa½ niss±ya pam±da½ k±tu½ vaµµati, appamatteneva hutv± dhammena rajja½ k±retu½ vaµµati. So ekadivasa½ mahantena pariv±rena uyy±na½ gantv± divasabh±ga½ uyy±ne k²¼itv± maªgalas±larukkham³le sayana½ atthar±petv± thoka½ nidd±yitv± pabuddho s±larukkha½ oloketv± tattha sakuºakul±vaka½ passi, saha dassanenevassa sineho uppajji. So eka½ purisa½ pakkos±petv± “ima½ rukkha½ abhiruhitv± etasmi½ kul±vake kassaci atthita½ v± natthita½ v± j±n±h²”ti ±ha. So “s±dhu, dev±”ti vatv± abhiruhitv± tattha t²ºi aº¹ak±ni disv± rañño ±rocesi. Tattha sakuº±ti ta½ ±lapati. Ki½ s³ti katara½ kicca½ kata½ vara½ uttama½ hoti, kathehi me, t±ta, sakala½ r±jadhammanti eva½ kira ta½ so pucchi.

6. “Sir² t±ta alakkh² ca, pucchit± etadabravu½;
uµµh±nav²riye pose, ram±ha½ anus³yake.
7. “Us³yake duhadaye, purise kammadussake;
k±¼akaºº² mah±r±ja, ramati cakkabhañjan².
8. “So tva½ sabbe suhadayo, sabbesa½ rakkhito bhava;
alakkhi½ nuda mah±r±ja, lakkhy± bhava nivesana½.

Mus±v±dino hi rañño raµµha½ niroja½ hoti, pathaviy± oj± kammakaraºaµµh±nato sattaratanamatta½ heµµh± bhassati, tato ±h±re v± telamadhuph±ºit±d²su v± osadhesu oj± na hoti. Niroj±h±rabhojan± manuss± bahv±b±dh± honti, raµµhe thalajalapathesu ±yo nuppajjati, tasmi½ anuppajjante r±j±no duggat± honti. Te sevake saªgaºhitu½ na sakkonti, asaªgahit± sevak± r±j±na½ garucittena na olokenti. Eva½, t±ta, mus±v±do n±mesa nirojo, na so j²vitahetupi k±tabbo, sacca½ pana s±dutara½ ras±nanti tadeva paµiggahetabba½. Apica mus±v±do n±ma guºaparidha½sako vipattipariyos±no, dutiyacittav±re av²cipar±yaºa½ karoti. Imasmi½ panatthe “dhammo have hato hant²”ti cetiyaj±taka½ (j±. 1.8.45 ±dayo) kathetabba½.
Kodhanti, t±ta, r±j± n±ma paµhamameva kujjhanalakkhaºa½ kodhampi niv±reyya. T±ta, aññesañhi kodho khippa½ matthaka½ na p±puº±ti, r±j³na½ p±puº±ti. R±j±no n±ma v±c±vudh± kujjhitv± olokitamatten±pi para½ vin±senti, tasm± raññ± aññehi manussehi atirekatara½ nikkodhena bhavitabba½, khantimett±nudday±sampannena attano piyaputta½ viya loka½ volokentena bhavitabba½. T±ta, atikodhano n±ma r±j± uppanna½ yasa½ rakkhitu½ na sakkoti. Imassa panatthassa d²panattha½ khantiv±dij±taka- (j±. 1.4.49 ±dayo) c³¼adhammap±laj±tak±ni (j±. 1.5.44 ±dayo) kathetabb±ni. C³¼adhammap±laj±takasmiñhi mah±pat±pano n±ma r±j± putta½ gh±tetv± puttasokena hadayena phalitena mat±ya deviy± sayampi devi½ anusocanto hadayena phaliteneva mari.
