Tattha duddadanti d±na½ n±ma duddada½ macchera½ abhibhavitv± d±tabbato, ta½ dadam±n±na½. Dukkaranti tadeva d±nakamma½ dukkara½ yuddhasadisa½, ta½ kubbata½. N±nukubbant²ti asappuris± d±naphala½ aj±nant± tesa½ gatamagga½ n±nugacchanti. Sata½ dhammoti sappuris±na½ bodhisatt±na½ dhammo aññehi duranugamo. Asantoti macchariyavasena d±na½ adatv± asappuris± niraya½ yanti.
Seµµhi gahetabbagahaºa½ apassanto “tena hi pavisitv± br±hmaº±na½ santike nis²da, thoka½ lacchas²”ti ±ha. Tato thoka½ v²tin±metv± m±tali ±gantv± bhatta½ y±citv± “natth²”ti vacanamattak±lameva sattama½ g±tham±ha–

appasm± dakkhiº± dinn±, sahassena sama½ mit±”ti.
Tattha appasmeke pavecchant²ti mah±seµµhi ekacce paº¹itapuris± appasmimpi deyyadhamme pavecchanti, dadantiyev±ti attho. Bahun±pi deyyadhammena samann±gat± eke satt± na dicchare na dadanti. Dakkhiº±ti kammañca phalañca saddahitv± dinnad±na½. Sahassena sama½ mit±ti eva½ dinn± kaµacchubhattamatt±pi dakkhiº± sahassad±nena saddhi½ mit±, mah±phalatt± sahassad±nasadis±va hot²ti attho.
Tampi so “tena hi pavisitv± nis²d±”ti ±ha. Tato thoka½ v²tin±metv± pañcasikho ±gantv± bhatta½ y±citv± “natthi gacch±”ti vutte “aha½ na gatapubbo, imasmi½ gehe br±hmaºav±canaka½ bhavissati maññe”ti tassa dhammakatha½ ±rabhanto aµµhama½ g±tham±ha–

sata½ sahass±na½ sahassay±gina½, kalampi n±gghanti tath±vidhassa te”ti.
Tattha dhammanti tividhasucaritadhamma½. Samuñchakanti g±me v± ±makapakkabhikkh±cariya½ araññe v± phal±phalaharaºasaªkh±ta½ uñcha½ yo careyya, sopi dhammameva care. D±rañca posanti attano ca puttad±ra½ posentoyeva. Dadamappakasminti paritte v± deyyadhamme dhammikasamaºabr±hmaº±na½ dadam±no dhamma½ careti attho. Sata½ sahass±na½ sahassay±ginanti para½ pothetv± viheµhetv± sahassena y±ga½ yajant±na½ sahassay±g²na½ issar±na½ satasahassampi. Kalampi n±gghanti tath±vidhassa teti tesa½ satasahassasaªkh±t±na½ sahassay±g²na½ y±g± tath±vidhassa dhammena samena deyyadhamma½ upp±detv± dentassa duggatamanussassa so¼asi½ kala½ na agghant²ti.
Seµµhi pañcasikhassa katha½ sutv± sallakkhesi. Atha na½ anagghak±raºa½ pucchanto navama½ g±tham±ha–
133. “Kenesa yañño vipulo mahagghato, samena dinnassa na agghameti;
katha½ sata½ sahass±na½ sahassay±gina½, kalampi n±gghanti tath±vidhassa te”ti.
Tattha yaññoti d±nay±go satasahassaparicc±gavasena vipulo, vipulatt±va mahagghato. Samena dinnass±ti dhammena dinnassa kena k±raºena aggha½ na upeti. Katha½ sata½ sahass±nanti br±hmaºa, katha½ sahassay±g²na½ puris±na½ bah³na½ sahass±na½ satasahassasaªkh±t± issar± tath±vidhassa dhammena upp±detv± d±yakassa ekassa duggatamanussassa kala½ n±gghant²ti.

eva½ sata½ sahass±na½ sahassay±gina½, kalampi n±gghanti tath±vidhassa te”ti.
Tattha visameti visame k±yakamm±dimhi niviµµh±. Chetv±ti kilametv±. Vadhitv±ti m±retv±. Socayitv±ti sasoke katv±.
So pañcasikhassa dhammakatha½ sutv± “tena hi gaccha, geha½ pavisitv± nis²da, thoka½ lacchas²”ti ±ha. Sopi gantv± tesa½ santike nis²di. Tato bil±rakosiyo seµµhi eka½ d±si½ ±mantetv± “etesa½ br±hmaº±na½ pal±pav²h²na½ n±¼i½ n±¼i½ deh²”ti ±ha. S± v²h² gahetv± br±hmaºe upasaªkamitv± “ime ±d±ya yattha katthaci pac±petv± bhuñjath±”ti ±ha. “Na amh±ka½ v²hin± attho, na maya½ v²hi½ ±mas±m±”ti. “Ayya, v²hi½ kirete n±masant²”ti? “Tena hi tesa½ taº¹ule deh²”ti. S± taº¹ule ±d±ya gantv± “br±hmaº± taº¹ule gaºhath±”ti ±ha. “Maya½ ±maka½ na paµiggaºh±m±”ti. “Ayya, ±maka½ kira na gaºhant²”ti. “Tena hi tesa½ karoµiya½ va¹¹hetv± gobhatta½ deh²”ti. S± tesa½ karoµiya½ va¹¹hetv± mah±goº±na½ pakkabhatta½ ±haritv± ad±si. Pañcapi jan± kaba¼e va¹¹hetv± mukhe pakkhipitv± gale lagg±petv± akkh²ni parivattetv± vissaµµhasaññ± mat± viya nipajji½su. D±s² te disv± “mat± bhavissant²”ti bh²t± gantv± seµµhino ±rocesi “ayya, te br±hmaº± gobhatta½ gilitu½ asakkont± mat±”ti.
