Tesañhi jetavana½ ±gantv± kham±panak±le satth± te ±mantetv± “bhikkhave, tumhe mayha½ oras± mukhato j±t± putt± n±ma, puttehi ca pitar± dinna½ ov±da½ bhinditu½ na vaµµati, tumhe pana mama ov±da½ na karittha, por±ºakapaº¹it± attano m±t±pitaro gh±tetv± rajja½ gahetv± µhitacorepi araññe hatthapatha½ ±gate m±t±pit³hi dinna½ ov±da½ na bhindiss±m±ti na m±rayi½s³”ti vatv± at²ta½ ±hari.
Imasmi½ pana j±take dvepi vatth³ni. Saªghabhedakakkhandhake vitth±rato ±vi bhavissanti. So pana d²gh±vukum±ro araññe attano aªke nipanna½ b±r±ºasir±j±na½ c³¼±ya gahetv± “id±ni mayha½ m±t±pitugh±taka½ cora½ khaº¹±khaº¹a½ katv± chindiss±m²”ti asi½ ukkhipanto tasmi½ khaºe m±t±pit³hi dinna½ ov±da½ saritv± “j²vita½ cajantopi tesa½ ov±da½ na bhindiss±mi, kevala½ ima½ tajjess±m²”ti cintetv± paµhama½ g±tham±ha–

t±yate maraºak±le, evamevitara½ dhana½.
113. “Akkocchi ma½ avadhi ma½, ajini ma½ ah±si me;
ye ca ta½ upanayhanti, vera½ tesa½ na sammati.
114. “Akkocchi ma½ avadhi ma½, ajini ma½ ah±si me;
ye ca ta½ nupanayhanti, vera½ tes³pasammati.
115. “Na hi verena ver±ni, sammant²dha kud±cana½;
averena ca sammanti, esa dhammo sanantanon”ti.
Tattha n±ñña½ sucaritanti n±ñña½ sucarit±, ayameva v± p±µho, µhapetv± sucarita½ añña½ na pass±m²ti attho. Idha “sucaritan”tipi “subh±sitan”tipi m±t±pit³hi dinna½ ov±da½yeva sandh±y±ha. Evamev±ti niratthakameva. Ida½ vutta½ hoti– mah±r±ja, aññatra ov±d±nusiµµhisaªkh±t± sucaritasubh±sit± maraºak±le t±yitu½ rakkhitu½ samattho n±ma añño natthi, ya½ eta½ itara½ dhana½, ta½ evameva niratthakameva hoti, tvañhi id±ni mayha½ koµisatasahassamattampi dhana½ dadanto j²vita½ na labheyy±si, tasm± veditabbameta½ “dhanato sucaritasubh±sitameva uttaritaran”ti.
Sesag±th±supi aya½ saªkhepattho– mah±r±ja, ye puris± “aya½ ma½ akkosi, aya½ ma½ pahari, aya½ ma½ ajini, aya½ mama santaka½ ah±s²”ti eva½ vera½ upanayhanti bandhitv± viya hadaye µhapenti, tesa½ vera½ na upasammati. Ye ca paneta½ na upanayhanti hadaye na µhapenti, tesa½ v³pasammati. Ver±ni hi na kad±ci verena sammanti, avereneva pana sammanti. Esa dhammo sanantanoti eso por±ºako dhammo cirak±lappavatto sabh±voti.
Evañca pana vatv± bodhisatto “aha½, mah±r±ja, tayi na dubbh±mi, tva½ pana ma½ m±reh²”ti tassa hatthe asi½ µhapesi. R±j±pi “n±ha½ tayi dubbh±m²”ti sapatha½ katv± tena saddhi½ nagara½ gantv± ta½ amacc±na½ dassetv± “aya½, bhaºe, kosalarañño putto d²gh±vukum±ro n±ma, imin± mayha½ j²vita½ dinna½, na labbh± ima½ kiñci k±tun”ti vatv± attano dh²tara½ datv± pitu santake rajje patiµµh±pesi. Tato paµµh±ya ubhopi samagg± sammodam±n± rajja½ k±resu½.
Satth± ima½ dhammadesana½ ±haritv± j±taka½ samodh±nesi– “tad± m±t±pitaro mah±r±jakul±ni ahesu½, d²gh±vukum±ro pana ahameva ahosin”ti.
