Tassattho– ambho visayha tva½ ito pubbe tava gehe dhane vijjam±ne sakalajambud²pa½ unnaªgala½ karitv± d±n±ni ad±si. Tassa ca te eva½ dadato bhog±na½ khayadhammo khayasabh±vo ahosi, sabba½ s±pateyya½ kh²ºa½, ito para½ cepi tva½ d±na½ na dadeyya, kassaci kiñci na dadeyy±si, tava sa½yamantassa adadantassa bhog± tatheva tiµµheyyu½, “ito paµµh±ya na dass±m²”ti tva½ mayha½ paµiñña½ dehi, aha½ te bhoge dassess±m²ti.
Mah±satto tassa vacana½ sutv± “kosi tvan”ti ±ha. “Sakkohamasm²”ti. Bodhisatto “sakko n±ma saya½ d±na½ datv± s²la½ sam±diyitv± uposathakamma½ katv± satta vattapad±ni p³retv± sakkatta½ patto, tva½ pana attano issariyak±raºa½ d±na½ v±resi, anariya½ vata karos²”ti vatv± tisso g±th± abh±si–
158. “Anariyamariyena sahassanetta, suduggaten±pi akiccam±hu;
m± vo dhana½ ta½ ahu devar±ja, ya½ bhogahetu vijahemu saddha½.
159. “Yena eko ratho y±ti, y±ti tenaparo ratho;
por±ºa½ nihita½ vatta½, vattataññeva v±sava.
160. “Yadi hessati dass±ma, asante ki½ dad±mase;
eva½bh³t±pi dass±ma, m± d±na½ pamadamhase”ti.
Tattha anariyanti l±maka½ p±pakamma½. Ariyen±ti parisuddh±c±rena ariyena. Suduggaten±p²ti sudalidden±pi. Akiccam±h³ti akattabbanti buddh±dayo ariy± vadanti, tva½ pana ma½ anariya½ magga½ ±roces²ti adhipp±yo. Voti nip±tamatta½. Ya½ bhogahet³ti yassa dhanassa paribhuñjanahetu maya½ d±nasaddha½ vijahemu pariccajeyy±ma, ta½ dhanameva m± ahu, na no tena dhanena atthoti d²peti.
Rathoti ya½kiñci y±na½. Ida½ vutta½ hoti– yena maggena eko ratho y±ti, aññopi ratho “rathassa gatamaggo eso”ti teneva maggena y±ti. Por±ºa½ nihita½ vattanti ya½ may± pubbe nihita½ vatta½, ta½ mayi dharante vattatuyeva, m± tiµµhat³ti attho. Eva½bh³t±ti eva½ tiºah±rakabh³t±pi maya½ y±va j²v±ma, t±va dass±mayeva. Ki½k±raº±? Sakko ta½ paµib±hitu½ asakkonto “kimatth±ya d±na½ dad±s²”ti pucchi. Bodhisatto “neva sakkatta½, na brahmatta½ patthayam±no, sabbaññuta½ patthento pan±ha½ dad±m²”ti ±ha. Sakko tassa vacana½ sutv± tuµµho hatthena piµµhi½ parimajji. Bodhisattassa taªkhaºaññeva parimajjitamattasseva sakalasar²ra½ parip³ri. Sakk±nubh±vena cassa sabbo vibhavaparicchedo paµip±katikova ahosi. Sakko “mah±seµµhi, tva½ ito paµµh±ya divase divase dv±dasa satasahass±ni vissajjento d±na½ dad±h²”ti tassa gehe aparim±ºa½ dhana½ katv± ta½ uyyojetv± sakaµµh±nameva gato.
Satth± ima½ dhammadesana½ ±haritv± j±taka½ samodh±nesi– “tad± seµµhibhariy± r±hulam±t± ahosi, visayho pana seµµhi ahameva ahosin”ti.
