Atha na½ bhariy± ±ha “sace, s±mi, aya½ pabbato suvaººamayo bhaveyya, dadeyy±si pana me kiñc²”ti. “K±si tva½, na kiñci dass±m²”ti. S± “y±va thaddhahadayo vat±ya½, pabbate suvaººamaye j±tepi mayha½ kiñci na dassat²”ti anattaman± ahosi. Te jetavanasam²pa½ ±gantv± “p±n²ya½ piviss±m±”ti vih±ra½ pavisitv± p±n²ya½ pivi½su. Satth±pi pacc³sak±leyeva tesa½ sot±pattiphalassa upanissaya½ disv± ±gamana½ olokayam±no gandhakuµipariveºe nis²di chabbaººarasmiyo vissajjento. Bhante, aha½ imasmi½ sasineh±, aya½ pana mayi nissineho, ajja may± pabbata½ disv± “sac±ya½ pabbato suvaººamayo assa, kiñci me dadeyy±s²”ti vutto “k±si tva½, na kiñci dass±m²”ti ±ha, eva½ thaddhahadayo ayanti. “Up±sike, eva½ n±mesa vadati, yad± pana tava guºa½ sarati, tad± sabbissariya½ te det²”ti vatv± “kathetha, bhante”ti tehi y±cito at²ta½ ±hari.

Athekadivasa½ r±j± putta½ upar±j±na½ upaµµh±na½ ±gacchanta½ disv± “aya½ mama antepure dubbheyy±”ti ta½ pakkos±petv± “t±ta, y±v±ha½ j²v±mi, t±va nagare vasitu½ na lacchasi, aññattha vasitv± mamaccayena rajja½ k±reh²”ti ±ha. So “s±dh³”ti pitara½ vanditv± jeµµhabhariy±ya saddhi½ nagar± nikkhamitv± paccanta½ gantv± arañña½ pavisitv± paººas±la½ m±petv± vanam³laphal±phalehi y±pento vasi. Aparabh±ge r±j± k±lamak±si. Upar±j± nakkhatta½ olokento tassa k±lakatabh±va½ ñatv± b±r±ºasi½ ±gacchanto antar±magge eka½ pabbata½ addasa. Bodhisatto “aya½ dev² imassa rañño upak±rik± dukkha½ agaºetv± araññav±sa½ vasi. Aya½ paneta½ agaºetv± aññ±hi saddhi½ abhiramanto vicarati, yath± es± sabbissariya½ labhati, tath± kariss±m²”ti cintetv± ekadivasa½ ta½ upasaªkamitv± “mah±devi maya½ tumh±ka½ santik± piº¹ap±tamattampi na labh±ma, kasm± amhesu pamajjittha, ativiya thaddhahaday± atth±”ti ±ha. “T±ta, sac±ha½ attan± labheyya½, tuyhampi dadeyya½, alabham±n± pana ki½ dass±mi, r±j±pi mayha½ id±ni ki½ n±ma dassati, so antar±magge ‘imasmi½ pabbate suvaººamaye j±te mayha½ kiñci dassas²’ti vutto ‘k±si tva½, na kiñci dass±m²’ti ±ha, supariccajampi na pariccaj²”ti. “Ki½ pana rañño santike ima½ katha½ kathetu½ sakkhissath±”ti? “Sakkhiss±mi, t±t±”ti. “Tena hi aha½ rañño santike µhito pucchiss±mi, tumhe katheyy±th±”ti. “S±dhu, t±t±”ti. Bodhisatto deviy± rañño upaµµh±na½ ±gantv± µhitak±le ±ha “nanu, ayye, maya½ tumh±ka½ santik± kiñci na labh±m±”ti? “T±ta, aha½ labham±n± tuyha½ dadeyya½, ahameva kiñci na labh±mi, alabham±n± tuyha½ ki½ dass±mi, r±j±pi id±ni mayha½ ki½ n±ma dassati, so araññato ±gamanak±le eka½ pabbata½ disv± ‘sac±ya½ pabbato suvaººamayo assa, kiñci me dadeyy±s²’ti vutto ‘k±si tva½, na kiñci dass±m²’ti vadati, supariccajampi na pariccaj²”ti etamattha½ d²pent² paµhama½ g±tham±ha–
77. “Succaja½ vata naccaji, v±c±ya adada½ giri½;
kiñhi tassacajantassa, v±c±ya adada pabbatan”ti.
Tattha succaja½ vat±ti sukhena cajitu½ sakkuºeyyampi na caji. Adadanti vacanamatten±pi pabbata½ adadam±no. Kiñhi tassacajantass±ti tassa n±metassa may± y±citassa na cajantassa kiñhi cajeyya. V±c±ya adada pabbatanti sac±ya½ may± y±cito mama vacanena suvaººamayampi honta½ ta½ pabbata½ v±c±ya adada, vacanamattena adass±ti attho.

78. “Yañhi kayir± tañhi vade, ya½ na kayir± na ta½ vade;
akaronta½ bh±sam±na½, parij±nanti paº¹it±”ti.
Tassattho yadeva hi paº¹ito puriso k±yena kareyya, ta½ v±c±ya vadeyya. Ya½ na kayir±, na ta½ vadeyya, d±tuk±mova damm²ti vadeyya, na ad±tuk±moti adhipp±yo. Ki½k±raº±? Yo hi “dass±m²”ti vatv±pi pacch± na dad±ti, ta½ akaronta½ kevala½ mus± bh±sam±na½ parij±nanti paº¹it±. Aya½ “dass±m²”ti vacanamattameva bh±sati, na pana deti, yañhi kho pana adinnampi vacanamatteneva dinna½ hoti, ta½ puretarameva laddha½ n±ma bhavissat²ti eva½ tassa mus±v±dibh±va½ parij±nanti paº¹it±, b±l± pana vacanamatteneva tussant²ti.

yassa te byasana½ patto, saccasmi½ ramate mano”ti.
Tattha sacce dhammeti vac²sacce ca sabh±vadhamme ca. Byasana½ pattoti yassa tava raµµh± pabb±jan²yasaªkh±ta½ byasana½ pattopi mano saccasmi½yeva ramati.

80. “Y± dalidd² daliddassa, a¹¹h± a¹¹hassa kittima;
s± hissa param± bhariy±, sahiraññassa itthiyo”ti.
Tattha kittim±ti kittisampann±ti attho. S± hissa param±ti y± daliddassa s±mikassa daliddak±le sayampi dalidd² hutv± ta½ na pariccajati. A¹¹hass±ti a¹¹hak±le a¹¹h± hutv± s±mikameva anuvattati, sam±nasukhadukkh±va hoti, s± hi tassa param± uttam± bhariy± n±ma. Sahiraññassa pana issariye µhitassa itthiyo n±ma hontiyeva, anacchariyameva etanti.
Evañca pana vatv± bodhisatto “aya½, mah±r±ja, tumh±ka½ dukkhitak±le araññe sam±nadukkh± hutv± vasi, imiss± samm±na½ k±tu½ vaµµat²”ti deviy± guºa½ kathesi. R±j± tassa vacanena deviy± guºa½ saritv± “paº¹ita, tava kath±y±ha½ deviy± guºa½ anussarin”ti vatv± tass± sabbissariyamad±si. “Tay±ha½ deviy± guºa½ sar±pito”ti bodhisattassapi mahanta½ sakk±ra½ ak±si.
Satth± ima½ dhammadesana½ ±haritv± sacc±ni pak±setv± j±taka½ samodh±nesi, saccapariyos±ne ubho jayampatik± sot±pattiphale patiµµhahi½su.
Tad± b±r±ºasir±j± aya½ kuµumbiko ahosi, dev² aya½ up±sik±, paº¹it±macco pana ahameva ahosinti.
