Te b±r±ºasito nikkhamitv± tattha tattha samajja½ karont± eka½ paccantag±maka½ agami½su. Sopi coro pal±yitv± tattha vasati. Te tattha samajja½ karont± paµhamameva ima½ g²taka½ g±yi½su–

s±ma½ b±h±ya p²¼esi, s± ta½ ±rogyamabrav²”ti.
Tattha kaºaveres³ti karav²resu. Bh±ºus³ti rattavaºº±na½ pupph±na½ pabh±ya sampannesu. S±manti eva½n±mika½. P²¼es²ti kilesaratiy± ramituk±mo viya ±liªganto p²¼esi. S± tanti s± s±m± arog±, tva½ pana “s± mat±”ti saññ±ya bh²to pal±yasi, s± attano ±rogya½ abravi kathesi, ±roces²ti attho.
Coro ta½ sutv± naµa½ upasaªkamitv± “tva½ ‘s±m± j²vat²’ti vadasi, aha½ pana na saddah±m²”ti tena saddhi½ sallapanto dutiya½ g±tham±ha–
70. “Ambho na kira saddheyya½, ya½ v±to pabbata½ vahe;
pabbatañce vahe v±to, sabbampi pathavi½ vahe;
yattha s±m± k±lakat±, s± ma½ ±rogyamabrav²”ti.
Tassattho ambho naµa, ida½ kira na saddaheyya½ na saddahitabba½. Ya½ v±to tiºapaºº±ni viya pabbata½ vaheyya, sacepi so pabbata½ vaheyya, sabbampi pathavi½ vaheyya, yath± ceta½ asaddaheyya½, tath± idanti. Yattha s±m± k±lakat±ti y± n±ma s±m± k±lakat±, s± ma½ ±rogya½ abrav²ti ki½k±raº± saddaheyya½. Mat± n±ma na kassaci s±sana½ pesent²ti.
Tassa vacana½ sutv± naµo tatiya½ g±tham±ha–
71. “Na ceva s± k±lakat±, na ca s± aññamicchati;
ekabhattikin² s±m±, tameva abhikaªkhat²”ti.
Tattha tameva abhikaªkhat²ti añña½ purisa½ na icchati, taññeva kaªkhati icchati patthet²ti.

72. “Asanthuta½ ma½ cirasanthutena, nim²ni s±m± adhuva½ dhuvena;
may±pi s±m± nimineyya añña½, ito aha½ d³ratara½ gamissan”ti.
Tattha asanthutanti akatasa½sagga½. Cirasanthuten±ti cirakatasa½saggena. Nim²n²ti parivattesi. Adhuva½ dhuven±ti ma½ adhuva½ tena dhuvas±mikena parivattetu½ nagaraguttikassa sahassa½ datv± ma½ gaºh²ti attho. May±pi s±m± nimineyya aññanti s±m± may±pi añña½ s±mika½ parivattetv± gaºheyya. Ito aha½ d³ratara½ gamissanti yattha na sakk± tass± s±sana½ v± pavatti½ v± sotu½, t±disa½ d³ratara½ µh±na½ gamissa½, tasm± mama ito aññattha gatabh±va½ tass± ±roceth±ti vatv± tesa½ passant±naññeva g±¼hatara½ niv±setv± vegena pal±yi.
Naµ± gantv± tena katakiriya½ tass± kathayi½su. S± vippaµis±rin² hutv± attano pakatiy± eva v²tin±mesi.
Satth± ima½ dhammadesana½ ±haritv± sacc±ni pak±setv± j±taka½ samodh±nesi, saccapariyos±ne ukkaºµhitabhikkhu sot±pattiphale patiµµhahi.
