Satth± tena tath±kata½ magga½ paµipajji So tattha bhagavanta½ disv± pasannam±naso vanditv± añjali½ paggayha pasannacitto y±va dassanupac±rasamatikkam± buddh±rammaºa½ p²ti½ avijahanto aµµh±si. So tena puññakammena devaloke nibbatto apar±para½ puññ±ni katv± sugat²suyeva sa½saranto imasmi½ buddhupp±de s±vatthiya½ sambh±van²yassa kuµumbiyassa putto hutv± nibbatti, erakotissa n±ma½ ahosi abhir³po dassan²yo p±s±diko itikattabbat±su paramena veyyattiyena samann±gato. Tassa m±t±pitaro kulena r³pena ±c±rena vayena kosallena ca anucchavika½ d±rika½ ±netv± viv±hakamma½ aka½su So t±ya saddhi½ sa½v±sena gehe vasanto pacchimabhavikatt± kenacideva sa½vegavatthun± sa½s±re sa½viggam±naso satthu santika½ gantv± dhamma½ sutv± paµiladdhasaddho pabbaji, tassa satth± kammaµµh±na½ ad±si. So kammaµµh±na½ gahetv± katipayadivas±tikkamena ukkaºµh±bhibh³to vih±si. Atha satth± tassa cittappavatti½ ñatv± ov±davasena “dukkh± k±m± erak±”ti g±tha½ abh±si. So ta½ sutv± “ayutta½ may± kata½, yoha½ evar³passa satthu santike kammaµµh±na½ gahetv± ta½ vissajjento micch±vitakkabahulo vih±sin”ti sa½vegaj±to vipassan±ya yuttappayutto nacirasseva arahatta½ p±puºi. Tena vutta½ apad±ne (apa. thera 1.15.32-36)–
“Uttaritv±na nadika½, vana½ gacchati cakkhum±;
tamaddas±si½ sambuddha½, siddhattha½ varalakkhaºa½.
“Kud±lapiµakam±d±ya sama½ katv±na ta½ patha½;
satth±ra½ abhiv±detv±, saka½ citta½ pas±dayi½.
“Catunnavutito kappe, ya½ kammamakari½ tad±;
duggati½ n±bhij±n±mi, maggad±nassida½ phala½.
“Sattapaññ±sakappamhi, eko ±si½ jan±dhipo;
n±mena suppabuddhoti, n±yako so narissaro.
“Kiles± jh±pit± mayha½…pe… kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti;
arah± pana hutv± añña½ by±karonto–
93. “dukkh± k±m± eraka, na sukh± k±m± eraka;
yo k±me k±mayati, dukkha½ so k±mayati eraka;
yo k±me na k±mayati, dukkha½ so na k±mayati erak±”ti.–

Tameva bhagavat± vuttag±tha½ paccud±h±si.

Tattha dukkh± k±m±ti ime vatthuk±makilesak±m± dukkhavatthut±ya vipariº±madukkhasa½s±radukkhasabh±vato ca, dukkh± dukkham± dukkhanibbattik±. Vuttañheta½– “appass±d± k±m± bahudukkh± bahup±y±s±, ±d²navo ettha bhiyyo”ti-±di (p±ci. 417; ma. ni. 1.234). Erak±ti paµhama½ t±va bhagav± ta½ ±lapati, pacch± pana thero att±na½ n±mena kathesi. Na sukh± k±m±ti k±m± n±mete j±nantassa sukh± na honti, aj±nantassa pana sukhato upaµµhahanti. Yath±ha– “yo sukha½ dukkhato adda, dukkhamaddakkhi sallato”ti-±di (sa½. ni. 4.253; itivu. 53; therag±. 986). Yo k±me k±mayati, dukkha½ so k±mayat²ti yo satto kilesak±mena vatthuk±me k±mayati, tassa ta½ k±mana½ sampati sapari¼±hat±ya ±yati½ ap±yadukkhahetut±ya ca vaµµadukkhahetut±ya ca dukkha½. Vatthuk±m± pana dukkhassa vatthubh³t±. Iti so dukkhasabh±va½ dukkhanimitta½ dukkhavatthuñca k±mayat²ti vutto. Itara½ paµipakkhavasena tamevattha½ ñ±petu½ vutta½, tasm± tassattho vuttavipariy±yena veditabbo.
