Anus±si mah±v²roti ±yasmato meghiyattherassa g±th±. K± uppatti? Ayampi purimabuddhesu kat±dhik±ro tattha tattha bhave kusalab²j±ni ropento ito ekanavute kappe vipassissa bhagavato k±le kulagehe nibbattitv± viññuta½ p±puºi. Tasmiñca samaye vipass² bhagav± buddhakiccassa pariyos±nam±gamma ±yusaªkh±ra½ ossajji. Tena pathav²kamp±d²su uppannesu mah±jano bh²tatasito ahosi. Atha na½ vessavaºo mah±r±j± tamattha½ vibh±vetv± samass±sesi. Ta½ sutv± mah±jano sa½vegappatto ahosi. Tatth±ya½ kulaputto buddh±nubh±va½ sutv± satthari sañj±tag±ravabahum±no u¼±ra½ p²tisomanassa½ paµisa½vedesi. So tena puññakammena devamanussesu sa½saranto imasmi½ buddhupp±de kapilavatthusmi½ s±kiyar±jakule nibbatti, tassa meghiyoti n±ma½ ahosi. So vayappatto satthu santike pabbajitv± bhagavanta½ upaµµhahanto bhagavati j±lik±ya½ viharante kimik±l±ya nadiy± t²re ramaº²ya½ ambavana½ disv± tattha viharituk±mo dve v±re bhagavat± v±retv± tatiyav±ra½ vissajjito tattha gantv± micch±vitakkamakkhik±hi khajjam±no cittasam±dhi½ alabhitv± satthu santika½ gantv± tamattha½ ±rocesi. Athassa bhagav± “aparipakk±ya, meghiya, cetovimuttiy± pañca dhamm± parip±k±ya sa½vattant²”ti-±din± (ud±. 31) ov±da½ ad±si. So tasmi½ ov±de µhatv± vipassana½ va¹¹hetv± arahatta½ p±puºi. Tena vutta½ apad±ne (apa. thera 1.12.57-65)–
“Yad± vipass² lokaggo, ±yusaªkh±ramossaji;
pathav² sampakampittha, medan² jalamekhal±.
“Otata½ vitata½ mayha½, suvicittavaµa½saka½;
bhavanampi pakampittha, buddhassa ±yusaªkhaye.
“T±so mayha½ samuppanno, bhavane sampakampite;
upp±do nu kimatth±ya, ±loko vipulo ahu.
“Vessavaºo idh±gamma, nibb±pesi mah±jana½;
p±ºabh³te bhaya½ natthi, ekagg± hotha sa½vut±.
“Aho buddho aho dhammo, aho no satthu sampad±;
yasmi½ uppajjam±namhi, pathav² sampakampati.
“Buddh±nubh±va½ kittetv±, kappa½ saggamhi modaha½;
avasesesu kappesu, kusala½ carita½ may±.
“Ekanavutito kappe, ya½ saññamalabhi½ tad±;
duggati½ n±bhij±n±mi, buddhasaññ±yida½ phala½.
“Ito cuddasakappamhi, r±j± ±si½ pat±pav±;
samito n±ma n±mena, cakkavatt² mahabbalo.
“Kiles± jh±pit± mayha½…pe… kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti;
arahatta½ pana patv± satthu sammukh± ov±da½ labhitv± “may± arahatta½ adhigatan”ti añña½ by±karonto–
66. “anus±si mah±v²ro, sabbadhamm±na p±rag³;
tass±ha½ dhamma½ sutv±na, vih±si½ santike sato;
tisso vijj± anuppatt±, kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti.– G±tha½ abh±si.
Tattha anus±s²ti “aparipakk±ya, meghiya, cetovimuttiy± pañca dhamm± parip±k±ya sa½vattant²”ti-±din± ovadi anusiµµhi½ ad±si. Mah±v²roti mah±vikkanto, v²riyap±ramip±rip³riy± caturaªgasamann±gatav²riy±dhiµµh±nena anaññas±dh±raºacatubbidhasammappadh±nasampattiy± ca mah±v²riyoti attho. Sabbadhamm±na p±rag³ti sabbesañca ñeyyadhamm±na½ p±ra½ pariyanta½ ñ±ºagamanena gato adhigatoti sabbadhamm±na p±rag³, sabbaññ³ti attho. Sabbesa½ v± saªkhatadhamm±na½ p±rabh³ta½ nibb±na½ sayambh³ñ±ºena gato adhigatoti sabbadhamm±na p±rag³. Tass±ha½ dhamma½ sutv±n±ti tassa buddhassa bhagavato s±mukka½sika½ ta½ catusaccadhamma½ suºitv±. Vih±si½ santiketi ambavane micch±vitakkehi upadduto c±lik± vih±ra½ gantv± satthu sam²peyeva vih±si½. Satoti satim±, samathavipassan±bh±van±ya appamattoti attho. Ahanti ida½ yath± “anus±s²”ti ettha “man”ti eva½ “vijj± anuppatt±, kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti ettha “may±”ti pariº±metabba½. “Kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti ca imin± yath±vutta½ vijj±ttay±nuppattimeva satthu ov±dapaµikaraºabh±vadassanena pariy±yantarena pak±seti. S²lakkhandh±diparip³raºameva hi satthu s±sanak±rit±.
