Ekak± maya½ araññeti ±yasmato vajjiputtattherassa g±th±. K± uppatti? Ayampi purimabuddhesu kat±dhik±ro tattha tattha bhave vivaµµ³panissaya½ puñña½ upacinanto ito ekanavute kappe vipassissa bhagavato k±le kulagehe nibbattitv± viññuta½ patto ekadivasa½ vipassi½ bhagavanta½ disv± pasannam±naso n±gapupphakesarehi p³ja½ ak±si. So tena puññakammena devamanussesu sa½saranto imasmi½ buddhupp±de amaccakule nibbatti, vajjiputtotissa n±ma½ ahosi. So bhagavato ves±ligamane buddh±nubh±va½ disv± paµiladdhasaddho pabbajitv± katapubbakicco kammaµµh±na½ gahetv± ves±liy± avid³re aññatarasmi½ vanasaº¹e viharati. Tena ca samayena ves±liya½ ussavo ahosi. Tattha tattha naccag²tav±dita½ pavattati, mah±jano haµµhatuµµho ussavasampatti½ paccanubhoti, ta½ sutv± so bhikkhu ayoniso ummujjanto viveka½ vajjam±no kammaµµh±na½ vissajjetv± attano anabhirati½ pak±sento–
“Ekak± maya½ araññe vihar±ma, apaviddha½va vanasmi½ d±ruka½;
et±disik±ya rattiy±, ko su n±ma amhehi p±piyo”ti.– G±tham±ha.
Ta½ sutv± vanasaº¹e adhivatth± devat± ta½ bhikkhu½ anukampam±n± “yadipi, tva½ bhikkhu, araññav±sa½ h²¼ento vadasi, vivekak±m± pana viddasuno ta½ bahu maññantiyev±”ti imamattha½ dassent²–
“Ekako tva½ araññe viharasi, apaviddha½va vanasmi½ d±ruka½;
tassa te bahuk± pihayanti, nerayik± viya saggag±minan”ti.–

G±tha½ vatv±, “kathañhi n±ma tva½, bhikkhu, niyy±nike samm±sambuddhassa s±sane pabbajitv± aniyy±nika½ vitakka½ vitakkessas²”ti santajjent² sa½vejesi Eva½ so bhikkhu t±ya devat±ya sa½vejito kas±bhihato viya bhadro ass±j±n²yo vipassan±v²thi½ otaritv± nacirasseva vipassana½ ussukk±petv± arahatta½ p±puºi. Tena vutta½ apad±ne (apa. thera 1.11.62-66)–

“Suvaººavaººa½ sambuddha½, satara½si½va bh±ºuma½;
obh±senta½ dis± sabb±, u¼ur±ja½va p³rita½.
“Purakkhata½ s±vakehi, s±gareheva medani½;
n±ga½ paggayha reº³hi, vipassiss±bhiropayi½.
“Ekanavutito kappe, ya½ reºumabhiropayi½;
duggati½ n±bhij±n±mi, buddhap³j±yida½ phala½.
“Paººat±l²sito kappe, reºu n±m±si khattiyo;
sattaratanasampanno, cakkavatt² mahabbalo.
“Kiles± jh±pit± mayha½…pe… kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti;
arahatta½ pana patv± “aya½ me arahattappattiy± aªkuso j±to”ti attano devat±ya ca vuttanaya½ sa½ka¹¹hitv±–
62. “ekak± maya½ araññe vihar±ma, apaviddha½va vanasmi½ d±ruka½;
tassa me bahuk± pihayanti, nerayik± viya saggag±minan”ti.–

Tassattho– anapekkhabh±vena vane cha¹¹itad±rukkhaº¹a½ viya yadipi maya½ ekak± ek±kino asah±y± imasmi½ araññe vihar±ma, eva½ viharato pana tassa me bahuk± pihayanti ma½ bah³ atthak±mar³p± kulaputt± abhipatthenti, “aho vatassa mayampi vajjiputtatthero viya gharabandhana½ pah±ya araññe vihareyy±m±”ti. Yath± ki½? Nerayik± viya saggag±mina½, yath± n±ma nerayik± attano p±pakammena niraye nibbattasatt± saggag±m²na½ sagg³pag±m²na½ pihayanti– “aho vata mayampi nirayadukkha½ pah±ya saggasukha½ paccanubhaveyy±m±”ti eva½sampadamidanti attho. Ettha ca attani garubahuvacanappayogassa icchitabbatt± “ekak± maya½ vihar±m±”ti puna tassa atthassa ekatta½ sandh±ya “tassa me”ti ekavacanappayogo kato. “Tassa me”, “saggag±minan”ti ca ubhayampi ‘pihayant²’ti pada½ apekkhitv± upayogatthe sampad±naniddeso daµµhabbo. Ta½ abhipatthent²ti ca t±dise araññav±s±diguºe abhipatthent± n±ma hont²ti katv± vutta½. Tassa meti v± tassa mama santike guºeti adhipp±yo.
