Lomasakaªgiyo anuruddh±d²su sakyakum±resu pabbajantesu pabbajitu½ na icchi. Atha na½ sa½vejetu½ candano devaputto upasaªkamitv± bhaddekaratta½ pucchi. Itaro “na j±n±m²”ti. Puna devaputto “atha kasm± tay± ‘bhaddekaratta½ katheyyan’ti saªgaro kato, id±ni pana n±mamattampi na j±n±s²”ti codesi. Itaro tena saddhi½ bhagavanta½ upasaªkamitv±, “may± kira, bhante, pubbe ‘imassa bhaddekaratta½ kathess±m²’ti saªgaro kato”ti pucchi. Bhagav± “±ma, kulaputta, kassapassa bhagavato k±le tay± eva½ katan”ti ±ha. Sv±yamattho uparipaºº±sake ±gatanayena vitth±rato veditabbo. Atha lomasakaªgiyo “tena hi, bhante, pabb±jetha man”ti ±ha. Bhagav± “na, kho, tath±gat± m±t±pit³hi ananuññ±ta½ putta½ pabb±jent²”ti paµikkhipi. So m±tu santika½ gantv± “anuj±n±hi ma½, amma, pabbajitu½, pabbajiss±mahan”ti vatv±, m±tar± “t±ta, sukhum±lo tva½ katha½ pabbajissas²”ti vutte, “attano parissayasahanabh±va½ pak±sento “dabba½ kusa½ poµakilan”ti g±tha½ abh±si.
27. Tattha dabbanti dabbatiºam±ha, ya½ “saddulo”tipi vuccati. Kusanti kusatiºa½, yo “k±so”ti vuccati. Poµakilanti sakaºµaka½ akaºµakañca gaccha½. Idha pana sakaºµakameva adhippeta½. Us²r±d²ni suviññeyy±ni. Dabb±d²ni tiº±ni b²raºatiº±ni p±dehi akkantass±pi dukkhajanak±ni gamanantar±yakar±ni ca, t±ni ca pan±ha½ uras± panudiss±mi uras±pi apaness±mi. Eva½ apanento ta½ nimitta½ dukkha½ sahanto araññ±yatane gumbantara½ pavisitv± samaºadhamma½ k±tu½ sakkhiss±mi. Ko pana v±do p±dehi akkamaneti dasseti. Vivekamanubr³hayanti k±yaviveka½ cittaviveka½ upadhivivekañca anubr³hayanto. Gaºasaªgaºikañhi pah±ya k±yaviveka½ anubr³hayantasseva aµµhati½s±ya ±rammaºesu yattha katthaci citta½ sam±dahantassa cittaviveko, na saªgaºik±ratassa. Sam±hitasseva vipassan±ya kamma½ karontassa samathavipassanañca yuganaddha½ karontassa kiles±na½ khepanena upadhivivek±dhigamo, na asam±hitassa. Tena vutta½ “vivekamanubr³hayanti k±yaviveka½ cittaviveka½ upadhivivekañca anubr³hayanto”ti. Eva½ pana puttena vutte m±t± “tena hi, t±ta, pabbaj±”ti anuj±ni. So bhagavanta½ upasaªkamitv± pabbajja½ y±ci. Ta½ satth± pabb±jesi. Ta½ pabbajitv± katapubbakicca½ kammaµµh±na½ gahetv± arañña½ pavisanta½ bhikkh³ ±ha½su– “±vuso, tva½ sukhum±lo ki½ sakkhissasi araññe vasitun”ti. So tesampi tameva g±tha½ vatv± arañña½ pavisitv± bh±vana½ anuyuñjanto nacirasseva cha¼abhiñño ahosi. Tena vutta½ apad±ne (apa. thera 2.52.23-27)–
“Suvaººavaººa½ sambuddha½, ±hut²na½ paµiggaha½;
rathiya½ paµipajjanta½, n±n±pupphehi p³jayi½.
