Eva½ kusalakammappasuto hutv± sugatito sugati½ upagacchanto imasmi½ buddhupp±de s±vatthiya½ kulagehe nibbatti. D±sakotissa n±ma½ ahosi. So an±thapiŗ¹ikena gahapatin± vih±rapaµijagganakamme µhapito sakkacca½ vih±ra½ paµijagganto abhiŗha½ buddhadassanena dhammassavanena ca paµiladdhasaddho pabbaji. Keci pana bhaŗanti– “aya½ kassapassa bhagavato k±le kulagehe nibbattitv± vayappatto ańńatara½ kh²ŗ±savatthera½ upaµµhahanto kińci kamma½ k±r±petuk±mo thera½ ±ŗ±pesi. So tena kammena amh±ka½ bhagavato k±le s±vatthiya½ an±thapiŗ¹ikassa d±siy± kucchimhi nibbatto vayappatto seµµhin± vih±rapaµijaggane µhapito vuttanayeneva paµiladdhasaddho ahosi. Mah±seµµhi tassa s²l±c±ra½ ajjh±sayańca ńatv± bhujissa½ katv± ‘yath±sukha½ pabbaj±’ti ±ha. Ta½ bhikkh³ pabb±jesun”ti. So pabbajitak±lato paµµh±ya kus²to h²nav²riyo hutv± na kińci vattapaµivatta½ karoti, kuto samaŗadhamma½, kevala½ y±vadattha½ bhuńjitv± nidd±bahulo viharati. Dhammassavanak±lepi eka½ koŗa½ pavisitv± parisapariyante nisinno ghurughurupass±s² nidd±yateva. Athassa bhagav± pubb³panissaya½ oloketv± sa½vegajananattha½ “middh² yad± hoti mahagghaso c±”ti g±tha½ abh±si.
17. Tattha middh²ti thinamiddh±bhibh³to, yańhi middha½ abhibhavati, ta½ thinampi abhibhavateva. Yad±ti yasmi½ k±le. Mahagghasoti mah±bhojano, ±harahatthaka-ala½s±µakatatthavaµµakak±kam±sakabhuttavamitak±na½ ańńataro viya. Nidd±yit±ti supanas²lo. Samparivattas±y²ti samparivattaka½ samparivattaka½ nipajjitv± ubhayenapi seyyasukha½ passasukha½ middhasukha½ anuyuttoti dasseti. Niv±papuµµhoti kuŗ¹ak±din± s³karabhattena puµµho bharito. Gharas³karo hi b±lak±lato paµµh±ya posiyam±no th³lasar²rak±le geh± bahi nikkhamitu½ alabhanto heµµh±mańc±d²su samparivattetv± samparivattetv± sayateva. Ida½ vutta½ hoti– yad± puriso middh² ca hoti mahagghaso ca niv±papuµµho mah±var±ho viya ańńena iriy±pathena y±petu½ asakkonto nidd±yanas²lo samparivattas±y², tad± so “anicca½ dukkha½ anatt±”ti t²ŗi lakkhaŗ±ni manasik±tu½ na sakkoti. Tesa½ amanasik±r± mandapańńo punappuna½ gabbha½ upeti, gabbh±v±sato na parimuccatev±ti. Ta½ sutv± d±sakatthero sa½vegaj±to vipassana½ paµµhapetv± nacirasseva arahatta½ sacch±k±si. “Ajito n±ma sambuddho, himavante vas² tad±;
caraŗena ca sampanno, sam±dhikusalo muni.
“Suvaŗŗavaŗŗe sambuddhe, ±hut²na½ paµiggahe;
rathiya½ paµipajjante, ambaphalamad±saha½.
“Ekanavute ito kappe, ya½ phala½ adadi½ tad±;
duggati½ n±bhij±n±mi, phalad±nassida½ phala½.
“Kiles± jh±pit± mayha½…pe… kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti;
arahatta½ pana patv± thero im±ya g±th±ya ma½ bhagav± ovadi, “aya½ g±th± mayha½ aŖkusabh³t±”ti tameva g±tha½ paccud±h±si; tayida½ therassa parivatt±h±ranayena ańń±by±karaŗa½ j±ta½;
