So vayappatto satthu santike dhamma½ sutv± paµiladdhasaddho pabbajitv± himavantasam²pe bherav±ya n±ma pabbataguh±ya½ vipassan±ya kamma½ karonto viharati. Athekadivasa½ mah± ak±lamegho satapaµalasahassapaµalo thanento gajjanto vijjullat± nicch±rento ga¼aga¼±yanto uµµhahitv± vassitu½ ±rabhi, asaniyo phali½su. Ta½ sadda½ sutv± acchataracchuvanamahi½sahatthi-±dayo bh²tatasit± bh²tarava½ viravi½su. Thero pana ±raddhavipassanatt± k±ye j²vite ca nirapekkho vigatalomaha½so ta½ acintento vipassan±yameva kamma½ karonto ghamm±pagamena utusapp±yal±bhena sam±hitacitto t±vadeva vipassana½ ussukk±petv± saha abhiññ±hi arahatta½ p±puºi. Ekako c±ha½ bherave bile vihar±m²ti ahañca ekako asah±yo sappaµibhay±ya½ pabbataguh±ya½ vas±mi, tassa mayha½ eva½bh³tassa me sato natthi bhaya½ v± chambhitatta½ v± lomaha½so v±ti cittutr±sasaññita½ bhaya½ v± ta½nimittaka½ sar²rassa chambhitatta½ v± lomaha½sanamatta½ v± natthi.
