Ayampi purimabuddhesu kat±dhik±ro tattha tattha bhave puññ±ni upacinanto vipassissa bhagavato k±le kumbhak±rakule nibbattitv± viññuta½ patto kumbhak±rakammena j²vanto ekadivasa½ satth±ra½ disv± pasannam±naso eka½ mattik±patta½ sv±bhisaªkhata½ katv± bhagavato ad±si. So tena puññakammena devamanussesu sa½saranto imasmi½ buddhupp±de magadharaµµhe n±lakag±me r³pas±riy± br±hmaºiy± putto s±riputtattherassa kaniµµhabh±t± hutv± nibbatti, cundotissa n±ma½ ahosi. So vayappatto dhammasen±pati½ anupabbajitv± ta½ niss±ya vipassana½ paµµhapetv± ghaµento v±yamanto nacirasseva cha¼abhiñño ahosi. Tena vutta½ apad±ne (apa. thera 2.51.39-50)–
“Nagare ha½savatiy±, kumbhak±ro ahosaha½;
addasa½ viraja½ buddha½, oghatiººaman±sava½.
“Sukata½ mattik±patta½, buddhaseµµhassad±saha½;
patta½ datv± bhagavato, ujubh³tassa t±dino.
“Bhave nibbattam±noha½, soººath±le labh±maha½;
r³pimaye ca sovaººe, taµµike ca maº²maye.
“P±tiyo paribhuñj±mi, puññakammassida½ phala½;
yas±nañca dhan±nañca, aggabh³to ca homaha½.
“Yath±pi bhaddake khette, b²ja½ appampi ropita½;
samm±dh±ra½ pavecchante, phala½ toseti kassaka½.
“Tathevida½ pattad±na½, buddhakhettamhi ropita½;
p²tidh±re pavassante, phala½ ma½ tosayissati.
“Y±vat± khett± vijjanti, saªgh±pi ca gaº±pi ca;
buddhakhettasamo natthi, sukhado sabbap±ºina½.
“Namo te puris±jañña, namo te purisuttama;
ekapatta½ daditv±na, pattomhi acala½ pada½.
“Ekanavutito kappe, ya½ pattamadadi½ tad±;
duggati½ n±bhij±n±mi, pattad±nassida½ phala½.
“Kiles± jh±pit± mayha½…pe… kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti;
cha¼abhiñño pana hutv± attan± paµiladdhasampattiy± k±raºabh³ta½ gar³panissaya½ vivekav±sañca kittento–
141. “suss³s± sutavaddhan², suta½ paññ±ya vaddhana½;
paññ±ya attha½ j±n±ti, ñ±to attho sukh±vaho.
142. “Sevetha pant±ni sen±san±ni, careyya sa½yojanavippamokkha½;
sace rati½ n±dhigaccheyya tattha, saªghe vase rakkhitatto sat²m±”ti.–

Tattha suss³s±ti sotabbayuttassa sabbasutassa sotumicch±, garusanniv±sopi. Diµµhadhammik±dibhedañhi attha½ sotumicchantena kaly±ºamitte upasaªkamitv± vattakaraºena payirup±sitv± yad± te payirup±san±ya ±r±dhitacitt± kañci upanis²dituk±m± honti, atha ne upanis²ditv± adhigat±ya sotumicch±ya ohitasotena sotabba½ hot²ti garusanniv±sopi suss³s±hetut±ya “suss³s±”ti vuccati. S± pan±ya½ suss³s± saccapaµiccasamupp±d±dipaµisa½yutta½ suta½ ta½samaªgino puggalassa va¹¹heti br³het²ti sutavaddhan², b±husaccak±r²ti attho. Suta½ paññ±ya vaddhananti ya½ ta½ “sutadharo sutasannicayo”ti (ma. ni. 1.339; a. ni. 4.22) “idhekaccassa bahuka½ suta½ hoti sutta½ geyya½ veyy±karaºan”ti (a. ni. 4.6) ca evam±din± nayena vutta½ b±husacca½, ta½ akusalappah±nakusal±dhigamanahetubh³ta½ pañña½ vaddhet²ti suta½ paññ±ya vaddhana½, vuttañheta½ bhagavat±–
“Sut±vudho kho, bhikkhave, ariyas±vako akusala½ pajahati, kusala½ bh±veti, s±vajja½ pajahati, anavajja½ bh±veti, suddha½ att±na½ pariharat²”ti (a. ni. 7.67).
Paññ±ya attha½ j±n±t²ti bahussuto sutamayañ±ºe µhito ta½ paµipatti½ paµipajjanto sut±nus±rena atth³paparikkh±ya dhammanijjh±nena bh±van±ya ca lokiyalokuttarabheda½ diµµhadhamm±divibh±ga½ dukkh±divibh±gañca attha½ yath±bh³ta½ paj±n±ti ca paµivijjhati ca, ten±ha bhagav±–
“Sutassa yath±pariyattassa atthamaññ±ya dhammamaññ±ya dhamm±nudhammappaµipanno hot²”ti (a. ni. 4.6).
“Dhat±na½ dhamm±na½ attha½ upaparikkhati, attha½ upaparikkhato dhamm± nijjh±na½ khamanti, dhammanijjh±nakkhantiy± sati chando j±yati, chandaj±to ussahati, ussahitv± tuleti, tulayitv± padahati, pahitatto sam±no k±yena ceva paramasacca½ sacchikaroti, paññ±ya ca na½ ativijjha passat²”ti (ma. ni. 2.432) ca.
ѱto attho sukh±vahoti yath±vutto diµµhadhammik±di-attho ceva dukkh±di-attho ca y±th±vato ñ±to adhigato lokiyalokuttarabheda½ sukha½ ±vahati nipph±det²ti attho.
Ýhit±ya bh±van±paññ±ya sutamatteneva na sijjhat²ti tass± paµipajjanavidhi½ dassento “sevetha…pe…vippamokkhan”ti ±ha. Tattha sevetha pant±ni sen±san±n²ti k±yavivekam±ha. Tena sa½yojanappah±nassa ca vakkham±natt± vivek±rahasseva vivekav±soti s²lasa½var±dayo idha avuttasiddh± veditabb±. Careyya sa½yojanavippamokkhanti yath± sa½yojanehi citta½ vippamuccati, tath± vipassan±bh±vana½ maggabh±vanañca careyya paµipajjeyy±ti attho. Sace rati½ n±dhigaccheyya tatth±ti tesu pantasen±sanesu yath±laddhesu adhikusaladhammesu ca rati½ pubben±para½ visesassa al±bhato abhirati½ na labheyya, saªghe bhikkhusam³he rakkhitatto kammaµµh±naparigaºhanato rakkhitacitto chasu dv±resu sati-±rakkh±ya upaµµhapanena satim± vaseyya vihareyya, eva½ viharantassa ca api n±ma sa½yojanavippamokkho bhaveyy±ti adhipp±yo.
