Duppabbajja½ ve duradhiv±s± geh±ti ±yasmato jentattherassa g±th±. K± uppatti? Ayampi purimabuddhesu kat±dhik±ro tattha tattha bhave vivaµµ³panissaya½ kusala½ upacinanto sikhissa bhagavato k±le devaputto hutv± nibbatti. So ekadivasa½ satth±ra½ disv± pasannacitto ki½kir±tapupphehi p³ja½ ak±si. So tena puññakammena devamanussesu sa½saranto imasmi½ buddhupp±de magadharaµµhe jentag±me ekassa maº¹alikar±jassa putto hutv± nibbatti, jentotissa n±ma½ ahosi. So viññuta½ patto daharak±leyeva hetusampattiy± codiyam±no pabbajj±ninnam±naso hutv± puna cintesi– “pabbajj± n±ma dukkar±, ghar±pi dur±v±s±, dhammo ca gambh²ro, bhog± ca duradhigam±, ki½ nu kho kattabban”ti eva½ pana cint±bahulo hutv± vicaranto ekadivasa½ satthu santika½ gantv± dhamma½ suºi. Sutak±lato paµµh±ya pabbajj±bhirato hutv± satthu santike pabbajitv± kammaµµh±na½ gahetv± vipassana½ va¹¹hetv± sukh±ya paµipad±ya khipp±bhiññ±ya arahatta½ sacch±k±si. Tena vutta½ apad±ne (apa. thera 1.16.21-24)–
“Devaputto aha½ santo, p³jayi½ sikhin±yaka½;
kakk±rupuppha½ paggayha, buddhassa abhiropayi½.
“Ekati½se ito kappe, ya½ pupphamabhiropayi½;
duggati½ n±bhij±n±mi, buddhap³j±yida½ phala½.
“Ito ca navame kappe, r±j± sattuttamo ahu½;
sattaratanasampanno, cakkavatt² mahabbalo.
“Kiles± jh±pit± mayha½…pe… kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti;
arahatta½ pana patv± attano paµipatti½ paccavekkhanto, “asakkhi½ vat±ha½ ±dito mayha½ uppannavitakka½ chinditun”ti somanassaj±to vitakkassa uppann±k±ra½ tassa ca sammadeva chinnata½ dassento–

Tattha duppabbajjanti appa½ v± mahanta½ v± bhogakkhandhañceva ñ±tiparivaµµañca pah±ya imasmi½ s±sane ura½ datv± pabbajanassa dukkaratt± dukkha½ pabbajana½, dukkar± pabbajj±ti duppabbajja½. Veti nip±tamatta½, da¼hattho v± “pabbajj± dukkh±”ti Gehañce ±vaseyya½, duradhiv±s± geh±, yasm± geha½ adhivasantena raññ± r±jakicca½, issarena issarakicca½, gahapatin± gahapatikicca½ kattabba½ hoti, parijano ceva samaºabr±hmaº± ca saªgahetabb±, tasmi½ tasmiñca kattabbe kariyam±nepi ghar±v±so chiddaghaµo viya mah±samuddo viya ca dupp³ro, tasm± geh± n±mete adhivasitu½ ±vasitu½ dukkh± dukkar±ti katv± duradhiv±s± dur±v±s±ti. Pabbajjañce anutiµµheyya½ dhammo gambh²ro, yadatth± pabbajj±, so pabbajitena adhigantabbo paµivedhasaddhammo gambh²ro, gambh²rañ±ºagocaratt± duddaso, duppaµivijjho dhammassa gambh²rabh±vena duppaµivijjhatt±. Gehañce ±vaseyya½, duradhigam± bhog± yehi vin± na sakk± geha½ ±vasitu½, te bhog± dukkhena kasirena adhigantabbat±ya duradhigam±. Eva½ sante ghar±v±sa½ pah±ya pabbajja½yeva anutiµµheyya½, evampi kicch± vutti no itar²tarena idha imasmi½ buddhas±sane itar²tarena yath±laddhena paccayena amh±ka½ vutti j²vik± kicch± dukkh±, ghar±v±s±na½ duradhiv±sat±ya bhog±nañca duradhigamat±ya gehe itar²tarena paccayena y±petabbat±ya kicch± kasir± vutti amh±ka½, tattha ki½ k±tu½ vaµµat²ti? Yutta½ cintetu½ satatamaniccata½ sakala½ divasa½ pubbaratt±pararattañca tebh³makadhammaj±ta½ aniccatanti, tato upp±davayavantato ±di-antavantato t±vak±likato ca na niccanti “aniccan”ti cintetu½ vipassitu½ yutta½. Anicc±nupassan±ya siddh±ya itar±nupassan± sukheneva sijjhant²ti anicc±nupassan±va ettha vutt±, aniccassa dukkh±nattat±na½ abyabhicaraºato s±sanikassa sukhaggahaºato ca. Ten±ha– “yadanicca½ ta½ dukkha½, ya½ dukkha½ tadanatt±”ti (sa½. ni. 3.15), “ya½ kiñci samudayadhamma½, sabba½ ta½ nirodhadhamma½” (mah±va. 16; d². ni. 2.371; sa½. ni. 5.1081), “vayadhamm± saªkh±r±”ti (d². ni. 2.218) ca tadamin± eva½ aññamañña½ paµipakkhavasena apar±para½ uppanne vitakke niggahetv± aniccat±mukhena vipassana½ ±rabhitv± id±ni katakicco j±toti dasseti. Tena vutta½ “attano paµipattin”ti-±di. Idameva therassa aññ±by±karaºa½ ahosi.
