So tena puññakammena devaloke nibbattitv± apar±para½ puññ±ni katv± sugat²suyeva sa½saranto imasmi½ buddhupp±de s±vatthiya½ ibbhakule nibbatti, tassa saªgharakkhitoti n±ma½ ahosi. So viññuta½ patto paµiladdhasaddho pabbajitv± kammaµµh±na½ gahetv± aññatara½ bhikkhu½ sah±ya½ katv± araññe viharati. Therassa vasanaµµh±nato avid³re vanagumbe ek± mig² vij±yitv± taruºa½ ch±pa½ rakkhant² ch±tajjhatt±pi puttasinehena d³re gocar±ya na gacchati, ±sanne ca tiºodakassa al±bhena kilamati. Ta½ disv± thero, “aho vat±ya½ loko taºh±bandhanabaddho mah±dukkha½ anubhavati, na ta½ chinditu½ sakkot²”ti sa½vegaj±to tameva aªkusa½ katv± vipassana½ va¹¹hetv± arahatta½ p±puºi. ubho hatthehi paggayha, satta buddhe samokiri½.
“Catunnavutito kappe, ya½ pupphamabhiropayi½;
duggati½ n±bhij±n±mi, buddhap³j±yida½ phala½.
“Dvenavute ito kappe, satt±su½ pupphan±mak±;
sattaratanasampann±, cakkavatt² mahabbal±.
“Kiles± jh±pit± mayha½…pe… kata½ buddhassa s±sanan”ti;
arahatta½ pana patv± attano dutiyaka½ bhikkhu½ micch±vitakkabahula½ viharanta½ ñatv± tameva migi½ upama½ karitv± ta½ ovadanto–

Anuvigaºet²ti ettha “na n³n±”ti padadvaya½ ±netv± sambandhitabba½ “n±nuvigaºeti n³n±”ti, na cintesi maññe, “n±nuyuñjat²”ti takkem²ti attho. S±sananti paµipattis±sana½, catusaccakammaµµh±nabh±vananti adhipp±yo Tath± h²ti teneva k±raºena, satthu s±sanassa ananuyuñjanato eva. Ayanti aya½ bhikkhu. P±katindriyoti manacchaµµh±na½ indriy±na½ yath±saka½ visayesu vissajjanato sabh±vabh³ta-indriyo asa½vutacakkhudv±r±dikoti attho. Yassa taºh±saªgassa acchinnat±ya so bhikkhu p±katindriyo viharati, tassa upama½ dassento “mig² yath± taruºaj±tik± vane”ti ±ha. Yath± aya½ taruºasabh±v± mig² puttasnehassa acchinnat±ya vane dukkha½ anubhavati, na ta½ ativattati, evamayampi bhikkhu saªgassa acchinnat±ya p±katindriyo viharanto vaµµadukkha½ n±tivattat²ti adhipp±yo. “Taruºavij±tik±”ti v± p±µho. Abhinavappasut± b±lavacch±ti attho. Ta½ sutv± so bhikkhu sañj±tasa½vego vipassana½ va¹¹hetv± nacirasseva arahatta½ p±puºi.
