7. Suppabuddhakuµµhivatthu

Caranti b±l± dummedh±ti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± ve¼uvane viharanto suppabuddhakuµµhi½ ±rabbha kathesi. Suppabuddhakuµµhivatthu ud±ne (ud±. 43) ±gatameva.
Tad± hi suppabuddhakuµµhi parisapariyante nisinno bhagavato dhammadesana½ sutv± sot±pattiphala½ patv± attan± paµiladdhaguºa½ satthu ±rocetuk±mo parisamajjhe og±hitu½ avisahanto mah±janassa satth±ra½ vanditv± anugantv± nivattanak±le vih±ra½ agam±si. Tasmi½ khaºe sakko devar±j± “aya½ suppabuddhakuµµhi attano satthu s±sane paµiladdhaguºa½ p±kaµa½ k±tuk±mo”ti ñatv± “v²ma½siss±mi nan”ti gantv± ±k±se µhitova etadavoca– “suppabuddha, tva½ manussadaliddo manussavar±ko, aha½ te apariyanta½ dhana½ dass±mi, ‘buddho na buddho, dhammo na dhammo, saªgho na saªgho, ala½ me buddhena, ala½ me dhammena, ala½ me saªghen±’ti vadeh²”ti. Atha na½ so ±ha– “kosi tvan”ti? “Aha½ sakko”ti. Andhab±la, ahirika tva½ may± saddhi½ kathetu½ na yuttar³po, tva½ ma½ “duggato daliddo kapaºo”ti vadesi, nev±ha½ duggato, na daliddo, sukhappatto ahamasmi mahaddhano–
“Saddh±dhana½ s²ladhana½, hir² ottappiya½ dhana½;
sutadhanañca c±go ca, paññ± ve sattama½ dhana½.
“Yassa ete dhan± atthi, itthiy± purisassa v±;
‘adaliddo’ti ta½ ±hu, amogha½ tassa j²vitan”ti. (A. ni. 7.5-6)–

Im±ni me sattavidha-ariyadhan±ni santi, yesañhi im±ni satta dhan±ni santi, na te buddhehi v± paccekabuddhehi v± “dalidd±”ti vuccant²ti. Sakko tassa katha½ sutv± ta½ antar±magge oh±ya satthu santika½ gantv± sabba½ ta½ vacanapaµivacana½ ±rocesi. Atha na½ bhagav± ±ha– “na kho, sakka, sakk± t±dis±na½ satenapi sahassenapi suppabuddhakuµµhi½ ‘buddho na buddho’ti v±, ‘dhammo na dhammo’ti v±, ‘saªgho na saªgho’ti v± kath±petun”ti. Suppabuddhopi kho kuµµhi satthu santika½ gantv± satth±r± katapaµisanth±ro sammodam±no attan± paµiladdhaguºa½ ±rocetv± vuµµh±y±san± pakk±mi. Atha na½ acirapakkanta½ g±v² taruºavacch± j²vit± voropesi.

S± kira ek± yakkhin² pukkus±tikulaputta½, b±hiya½ d±ruc²riya½, tambad±µhikacoragh±taka½, suppabuddhakuµµhinti imesa½ catunna½ jan±na½ anekasate attabh±ve g±v² hutv± j²vit± voropesi. Te kira at²te catt±ro seµµhiputt± hutv± eka½ nagarasobhini½ gaºika½ uyy±na½ netv± divasa½ sampatti½ anubhavitv± s±yanhasamaye eva½ sammantayi½su– “imasmi½ µh±ne añño natthi, imiss± amhehi dinna½ kah±paºasahassañca sabbañca pas±dhanabhaº¹a½ gahetv± ima½ m±retv± gacch±m±”ti. S± tesa½ katha½ sutv± “ime nillajj±, may± saddhi½ abhiramitv± id±ni ma½ m±retuk±m±, j±niss±mi nesa½ kattabbayuttakan”ti tehi m±riyam±n± “aha½ yakkhin² hutv± yath± ma½ ete m±renti, evameva te m±retu½ samatth± bhaveyyan”ti patthana½ ak±si. Tassa nissandena ime m±resi. Sambahul± bhikkh³ tassa k±lakiriya½ bhagavato ±rocetv± “tassa k± gati, kena ca k±raºena kuµµhibh±va½ patto”ti pucchi½su. Satth± sot±pattiphala½ patv± tassa t±vati½sabhavane uppannabh±vañca tagarasikhipaccekabuddha½ disv± niµµhubhitv± apasabya½ katv± d²gharatta½ niraye paccitv± vip±k±vasesena id±ni kuµµhibh±vappattiñca by±karitv±, “bhikkhave, ime satt± attan±va attano kaµukavip±kakamma½ karont± vicarant²”ti vatv± anusandhi½ ghaµetv± uttari dhamma½ desento ima½ g±tham±ha–

Tattha carant²ti cat³hi iriy±pathehi akusalameva karont± vicaranti. B±l±ti idhalokatthañca paralokatthañca aj±nant± idha b±l± n±ma. Dummedh±ti duppaññ±. Amitteneva attan±ti attan± amittabh³tena viya verin± hutv±. Kaµukapphalanti tikhiºaphala½ dukkhaphalanti.
