Phandana½ capala½ cittanti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± c±lik±ya pabbate viharanto ±yasmanta½ meghiya½ ±rabbha kathesi.
Tassa vatthu½ vibh±vanattha½ sabba½ meghiyasuttanta½ (ud±. 31) vitth±retabba½. Satth± pana t²hi vitakkehi anv±sattat±ya tasmi½ ambavane padh±na½ anuyuñjitu½ asakkuºitv± ±gata½ meghiyatthera½ ±mantetv±, “atibh±riya½ te, meghiya, kata½ ‘±gamehi t±va, meghiya, ekakomhi y±va aññopi koci bhikkhu ±gacchat²’ti ma½ y±canta½ ekaka½ pah±ya gacchantena bhikkhun± n±ma eva½ cittavasikena bhavitu½ na vaµµati, citta½ n±meta½ lahuka½, ta½ attano vase vattetu½ vaµµat²”ti vatv± im± dve g±th± abh±si–
33. “Phandana½ capala½ citta½, d³rakkha½ dunniv±raya½;
uju½ karoti medh±v², usuk±rova tejana½.
34. “V±rijova thale khitto, okamokata-ubbhato;
paripphandatida½ citta½, m±radheyya½ pah±tave”ti.
Tattha phandananti r³p±d²su ±rammaºesu vipphandam±na½. Capalanti eka-iriy±pathena asaºµhahanto g±mad±rako viya ekasmi½ ±rammaºe asaºµhahanato capala½. Cittanti viññ±ºa½, bh³mivatthu-±rammaºakiriy±divicittat±ya paneta½ “cittan”ti vutta½. D³rakkhanti kiµµhasamb±dhe µh±ne kiµµhakh±dakagoºa½ viya ekekasmi½ sapp±y±rammaºeyeva duµµhapanato d³rakkha½. Dunniv±rayanti visabh±g±rammaºa½ gacchanta½ paµisedhetu½ dukkhatt± dunniv±raya½. Usuk±rova tejananti yath± n±ma usuk±ro araññato eka½ vaªkadaº¹aka½ ±haritv± nittaca½ katv± kañjiyatelena makkhetv± aªg±rakapalle t±petv± rukkh±lake upp²¼etv± nivaªka½ uju½ v±lavijjhanayogga½ karoti, katv± ca pana r±jar±jamah±matt±na½ sippa½ dassetv± mahanta½ sakk±rasamm±na½ labhati, evameva medh±v² paº¹ito viññ³ puriso phandan±disabh±vameta½ citta½ dhutaªg±raññ±v±savasena, nittaca½ apagata-o¼±rikakilesa½ katv± saddh±sinehena temetv± k±yikacetasikav²riyena t±petv± samathavipassan±lake upp²¼etv± uju½ akuµila½ nibbisevana½ karoti, katv± ca pana saªkh±re sammasitv± mahanta½ avijjakkhandha½ pad±letv±, “tisso vijj±, cha abhiññ±, nava lokuttaradhamme”ti ima½ visesa½ hatthagatameva katv± aggadakkhiºeyyabh±va½ labhati.
V±rijov±ti maccho viya, thale khittoti hatthena v± p±dena v± j±l±d²na½ v± aññatarena thale cha¹¹ito. Okamokata-ubbhatoti “okapuººehi c²vareh²”ti ettha (mah±va. 306) udaka½ oka½, “oka½ pah±ya aniketas±r²”ti ettha (su. ni. 850) ±layo, ettha ubhayampi labbhati. “Okamokata-ubbhato”ti hi ettha okamokatoti udakasaªkh±t± ±lay±ti ayamattho. Ubbhatoti uddhaµo. Paripphandatida½ cittanti yath± so udak±layato ubbhato thale khitto maccho udaka½ alabhanto paripphandati, evamida½ pañcak±maguº±lay±bhirata½ citta½ tato uddharitv± m±radheyyasaªkh±ta½ vaµµa½ pah±tu½ vipassan±kammaµµh±ne khitta½ k±yikacetasikav²riyena sant±piyam±na½ paripphandati, saºµh±tu½ na sakkoti. Eva½ santepi dhura½ anikkhipitv± medh±v² puggalo ta½ vuttanayeneva uju½ kammaniya½ karot²ti attho. Aparo nayo– ida½ m±radheyya½ kilesavaµµa½ avijahitv± µhita½ citta½ so v±rijo viya paripphandati, tasm± m±radheyya½ pah±tave, yena kilesavaµµasaªkh±tena m±radheyyeneva paripphandati, ta½ pah±tabbanti.
G±th±pariyos±ne meghiyatthero sot±pattiphale patiµµhito, aññepi bah³ sot±pann±dayo j±t±ti.
