9. Pañca-up±sakavatthu

Natthi r±gasamo agg²ti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± jetavane viharanto pañca up±sake ±rabbha kathesi.
Te kira dhamma½ sotuk±m± vih±ra½ gantv± satth±ra½ vanditv± ekamanta½ nis²di½su. Buddh±nañca “aya½ khattiyo, aya½ br±hmaºo, aya½ a¹¹ho, aya½ duggato, imassa u¼±ra½ katv± dhamma½ desess±mi, imassa no”ti citta½ na uppajjati. Ya½kiñci ±rabbha dhamma½ desento dhammag±rava½ purakkhatv± ±k±sagaªga½ ot±rento viya deseti. Eva½ desentassa pana tath±gatassa santike nisinn±na½ tesa½ eko nisinnakova nidd±yi, eko aªguliy± bh³mi½ likhanto nis²di, eko eka½ rukkha½ c±lento nis²di, eko ±k±sa½ ullokento nis²di, eko pana sakkacca½ dhamma½ assosi.
¾nandatthero satth±ra½ b²jayam±no tesa½ ±k±ra½ olokento satth±ra½ ±ha– “bhante, tumhe imesa½ mah±meghagajjita½ gajjant± viya dhamma½ desetha, ete pana tumhesupi dhamma½ kathentesu idañcidañca karont± nisinn±”ti. “¾nanda, tva½ ete na j±n±s²”ti? “¾ma, na j±n±mi, bhante”ti. Etesu hi yo esa nidd±yanto nisinno, esa pañca j±tisat±ni sappayoniya½ nibbattitv± bhogesu s²sa½ µhapetv± nidd±yi, id±nipissa nidd±ya titti natthi, n±ssa kaººa½ mama saddo pavisat²ti. Ki½ pana, bhante, paµip±µiy± kathetha, ud±hu antarantar±ti. ¾nanda, etassa hi k±lena manussatta½, k±lena devatta½, k±lena n±gattanti eva½ antarantar± uppajjantassa upapattiyo sabbaññutaññ±ºen±pi na sakk± paricchinditu½. Paµip±µiy± panesa pañca j±tisat±ni n±gayoniya½ nibbattitv± nidd±yantopi nidd±ya atittoyeva. Aªguliy± bh³mi½ likhanto nisinnapurisopi pañca j±tisat±ni gaº¹upp±dayoniya½ nibbattitv± bh³mi½ khaºi, id±nipi bh³mi½ khaºantova mama sadda½ na suº±ti. Esa rukkha½ c±lento nisinnapurisopi paµip±µiy± pañca j±tisat±ni makkaµayoniya½ nibbatti, id±nipi pubb±ciººavasena rukkha½ c±letiyeva, n±ssa kaººa½ mama saddo pavisati. Esa ±k±sa½ ulloketv± nisinnapurisopi pañca j±tisat±ni nakkhattap±µhako hutv± nibbatti, id±ni pubb±ciººavasena ajj±pi ±k±sameva ulloketi, n±ssa kaººa½ mama saddo pavisati. Esa sakkacca½ dhamma½ suºanto nisinnapuriso pana paµip±µiy± pañca j±tisat±ni tiººa½ ved±na½ p±rag³ mantajjh±yakabr±hmaºo hutv± nibbatti, id±nipi manta½ sa½sandanto viya sakkacca½ suº±t²ti.
“Bhante, tumh±ka½ dhammadesan± chavi-±d²ni chinditv± aµµhimiñja½ ±hacca tiµµhati, kasm± ime tumhesupi dhamma½ desentesu sakkacca½ na suºant²”ti? “¾nanda, mama dhammo sussavan²yoti sañña½ karosi maññe”ti. “Ki½ pana, bhante, dussavan²yo”ti? “¾ma, ±nand±”ti. “Kasm±, bhante”ti “¾nanda, buddhoti v± dhammoti v± saªghoti v± pada½ imehi sattehi anekesupi kappakoµisatasahassesu asutapubba½. Yasm± ima½ dhamma½ sotu½ na sakkont± anamatagge sa½s±re ime satt± anekavihita½ tiracch±nakatha½yeva suºant± ±gat±, tasm± sur±p±nake¼imaº¹al±d²su g±yant± naccant± vicaranti, dhamma½ sotu½ na sakkont²”ti. “Ki½ niss±ya panete na sakkonti, bhante”ti?
Athassa satth±, “±nanda, r±ga½ niss±ya dosa½ niss±ya moha½ niss±ya taºha½ niss±ya na sakkonti. R±gaggisadiso aggi n±ma natthi, so ch±rikampi asesetv± satte dahati. Kiñc±pi sattas³riyap±tubh±va½ niss±ya uppanno kappavin±sako aggipi kiñci anavasesetv±va loka½ dahati, so pana aggi kad±ciyeva dahati. R±gaggino adahanak±lo n±ma natthi, tasm± r±gasamo v± aggi dosasamo v± gaho mohasama½ v± j±la½ taºh±sam± v± nad² n±ma natth²”ti vatv± ima½ g±tham±ha–
251. “Natthi r±gasamo aggi, natthi dosasamo gaho;
natthi mohasama½ j±la½, natthi taºh±sam± nad²”ti.
Tattha r±gasamoti dh³m±d²su kiñci adassetv± antoyeva uµµh±ya jh±panavasena r±gena samo aggi n±ma natthi. Dosasamoti yakkhagaha-ajagaragahakumbhilagah±dayo ekasmi½yeva attabh±ve gaºhitu½ sakkonti, dosagaho pana sabbattha ekantameva gaºh±t²ti dosena samo gaho n±ma natthi. Mohasamanti onandhanapariyonandhanaµµhena pana mohasama½ j±la½ n±ma natthi. Taºh±sam±ti gaªg±d²na½ nad²na½ puººak±lopi ³nak±lopi sukkhak±lopi paññ±yati, taºh±ya pana puººak±lo v± sukkhak±lo v± natthi, nicca½ ³n±va paññ±yat²ti dupp³raºaµµhena taºh±ya sam± nad² n±ma natth²ti attho.
Desan±vas±ne sakkacca½ dhamma½ suºanto up±sako sot±pattiphale patiµµhahi, sampatt±nampi s±tthik± dhammadesan± ahos²ti.
