8. Eka-an±g±mittheravatthu

Chandaj±toti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± jetavane viharanto eka½ an±g±mitthera½ ±rabbha kathesi.
Ekadivasańhi ta½ thera½ saddhivih±rik± pucchi½su– “atthi pana vo, bhante, vises±dhigamo”ti. Thero “an±g±miphala½ n±ma gahaµµh±pi p±puŗanti, arahatta½ pattak±leyeva tehi saddhi½ kathess±m²”ti har±yam±no kińci akathetv±va k±lakato suddh±v±sadevaloke nibbatti. Athassa saddhivih±rik± roditv± paridevitv± satthu santika½ gantv± satth±ra½ vanditv± rodant±va ekamanta½ nis²di½su. Atha ne satth± “ki½, bhikkhave, rodath±”ti ±ha. “Upajjh±yo no, bhante, k±lakato”ti. “Hotu, bhikkhave, m± cintayittha, dhuvadhammo n±meso”ti? “¾ma, bhante, mayampi j±n±ma, apica maya½ upajjh±ya½ vises±dhigama½ pucchimh±, so kińci akathetv±va k±lakato, tenamha dukkhit±”ti. Satth±, “bhikkhave, m± cintayittha, upajjh±yena vo an±g±miphala½ patta½, so ‘gih²peta½ p±puŗanti, arahatta½ patv±va nesa½ kathess±m²’ti har±yanto tumh±ka½ kińci akathetv± k±la½ katv± suddh±v±se nibbatto, ass±satha, bhikkhave, upajjh±yo vo k±mesu appaµibaddhacittata½ patto”ti vatv± ima½ g±tham±ha–
218. “Chandaj±to anakkh±te, manas± ca phuµo siy±;
k±mesu ca appaµibaddhacitto, uddha½sototi vuccat²”ti.
Tattha chandaj±toti kattuk±mat±vasena j±tachando uss±hapatto. Anakkh±teti nibb±ne. Tańhi “asukena kata½ v± n²l±d²su evar³pa½ v±”ti avattabbat±ya anakkh±ta½ n±ma. Manas± ca phuµo siy±ti heµµhimehi t²hi maggaphalacittehi phuµo p³rito bhaveyya. Appaµibaddhacittoti an±g±mimaggavasena k±mesu appaµibaddhacitto. Uddha½sototi evar³po bhikkhu avihesu nibbattitv± tato paµµh±ya paµisandhivasena akaniµµha½ gacchanto uddha½sototi vuccati, t±diso vo upajjh±yoti attho.
