Ayogeti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± jetavane viharanto tayo pabbajite ±rabbha kathesi.
S±vatthiya½ kira ekasmi½ kule m±t±pit³na½ ekaputtako ahosi piyo man±po. So ekadivasa½ gehe nimantit±na½ bhikkh³na½ anumodana½ karont±na½ dhammakatha½ sutv± pabbajituk±mo hutv± m±t±pitaro pabbajja½ y±ci. Te n±nuj±ni½su. Tassa etadahosi– “aha½ m±t±pit³na½ apassant±na½yeva bahi gantv± pabbajiss±m²”ti. Athassa pit± bahi nikkhamanto “ima½ rakkheyy±s²”ti m±tara½ paµicch±pesi, m±t± bahi nikkhamant² pitara½ paµicch±pesi. Athassa ekadivasa½ pitari bahi gate m±t± “putta½ rakkhiss±m²”ti eka½ dv±rab±ha½ niss±ya eka½ p±dehi upp²¼etv± cham±ya nisinn± sutta½ kantati. So “ima½ vañcetv± gamiss±m²”ti cintetv±, “amma, thoka½ t±va apehi, sar²ravalañja½ kariss±m²”ti vatv± t±ya p±de samiñjite nikkhamitv± vegena vih±ra½ gantv± bhikkh³ upasaªkamitv± “pabb±jetha ma½, bhante”ti y±citv± tesa½ santike pabbaji.
Athassa pit± ±gantv± m±tara½ pucchi– “kaha½ me putto”ti? “S±mi, imasmi½ padese ahos²”ti. So “kaha½ nu kho me putto”ti olokento ta½ adisv± “vih±ra½ gato bhavissat²”ti vih±ra½ gantv± putta½ pabbajita½ disv± kanditv± roditv±, “t±ta, ki½ ma½ n±ses²”ti vatv± “mama putte pabbajite aha½ id±ni gehe ki½ kariss±m²”ti sayampi bhikkh³ y±citv± pabbaji. Athassa m±t±pi “ki½ nu kho me putto ca pati ca cir±yanti, kacci vih±ra½ gantv± pabbajit±”ti te olokent² vih±ra½ gantv± ubhopi pabbajite disv± “imesa½ pabbajitak±le mama gehena ko attho”ti sayampi bhikkhuni-upassaya½ gantv± pabbaji. Te pabbajitv±pi vin± bhavitu½ na sakkonti, vih±repi bhikkhuni-upassayepi ekatova nis²ditv± sallapant± divasa½ v²tin±menti. Tena bhikkh³pi bhikkh³niyopi ubb±¼h± honti.
Athekadivasa½ bhikkh³ nesa½ kiriya½ satthu½ ±rocesu½. Satth± te pakkos±petv± “sacca½ kira tumhe eva½ karoth±”ti pucchitv± “saccan”ti vutte “kasm± eva½ karotha? Na hi esa pabbajit±na½ yogo”ti. “Bhante, vin± bhavitu½ na sakkom±”ti. “Pabbajitak±lato paµµh±ya eva½ karaºa½ ayutta½. Piy±nañhi adassana½, appiy±nañca dassana½ dukkhameva. Tasm± sattesu ca saªkh±resu ca kañci piya½ v± appiya½ v± k±tu½ na vaµµat²”ti vatv± im± g±th± abh±si–
209. “Ayoge yuñjamatt±na½, yogasmiñca ayojaya½;
attha½ hitv± piyagg±h², pihetatt±nuyogina½.
210. “M± piyehi sam±gañchi, appiyehi kud±cana½;
piy±na½ adassana½ dukkha½, appiy±nañca dassana½.
211. “Tasm± piya½ na kayir±tha, piy±p±yo hi p±pako;
ganth± tesa½ na vijjanti, yesa½ natthi piy±ppiyan”ti.
Tattha ayogeti ayuñjitabbe ayonisomanasik±re. Vesiy±gocar±dibhedassa hi chabbidhassa agocarassa sevana½ idha ayonisomanasik±ro n±ma, tasmi½ ayonisomanasik±re att±na½ yuñjantoti attho. Yogasminti tabbipar²te ca yonisomanasik±re ayuñjantoti attho. Attha½ hitv±ti pabbajitak±lato paµµh±ya adhis²l±disikkhattaya½ attho n±ma, ta½ attha½ hitv±. Piyagg±h²ti pañcak±maguºasaªkh±ta½ piyameva gaºhanto. Pihetatt±nuyoginanti t±ya paµipattiy± s±sanato cuto gihibh±va½ patv± pacch± ye att±nuyoga½ anuyutt± s²l±d²ni samp±detv± devamanuss±na½ santik± sakk±ra½ labhanti, tesa½ piheti, “aho vat±hampi evar³po assan”ti icchat²ti attho.
M± piyeh²ti piyehi sattehi v± saªkh±rehi v± kud±cana½ ekakkhaºepi na sam±gaccheyya, tath± appiyehi. Ki½ k±raº±? Piy± nañhi viyogavasena adassana½ appiy±nañca upasaªkamanavasena dassana½ n±ma dukkha½. Tasm±ti yasm± ida½ ubhayampi dukkha½, tasm± kañci satta½ v± saªkh±ra½ v± piya½ n±ma na kareyya. Piy±p±yo h²ti piyehi ap±yo viyogo P±pakoti l±mako. Ganth± tesa½ na vijjant²ti yesa½ piya½ natthi, tesa½ abhijjh±k±yagantho pah²yati. Yesa½ appiya½ natthi, tesa½ by±p±do k±yagantho. Tesu pana dv²su pah²nesu sesaganth± pah²n± honti. Tasm± piya½ v± appiya½ v± na kattabbanti attho.
Desan±vas±ne bah³ sot±pattiphal±d²ni p±puºi½s³ti. Tena pana tayo jan± “maya½ vin± bhavitu½ na sakkom±”ti vibbhamitv± gehameva agami½s³ti.
