5. Anabhiratabhikkhuvatthu

Na kah±paºavassen±ti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± jetavane viharanto eka½ anabhiratabhikkhu½ ±rabbha kathesi.
So kira s±sane pabbajitv± laddh³pasampado “asukaµµh±na½ n±ma gantv± uddesa½ uggaºh±h²”ti upajjh±yena pesito tattha agam±si. Athassa pituno rogo uppajji. So putta½ daµµhuk±mo hutv± ta½ pakkositu½ samattha½ kañci alabhitv± puttasokena vippalapantoyeva ±sannamaraºo hutv± “ida½ me puttassa pattac²varam³la½ kareyy±s²”ti kah±paºasata½ kaniµµhassa hatthe datv± k±lamak±si. So daharassa ±gatak±le p±dam³le nipatitv± pavaµµento roditv±, “bhante, pit± te vippalapantova k±lakato, mayha½ pana tena kah±paºasata½ hatthe µhapita½, tena ki½ karom²”ti ±ha. Daharo “na me kah±paºehi attho”ti paµikkhipitv± aparabh±ge cintesi– “ki½ me parakulesu piº¹±ya caritv± j²vitena, sakk± ta½ kah±paºasata½ niss±ya j²vitu½, vibbhamiss±m²”ti. So anabhiratiy± p²¼ito vissaµµhasajjh±yanakammaµµh±no paº¹urog² viya ahosi. Atha na½ daharas±maºer± “ki½ idan”ti pucchitv± “ukkaºµhitomh²”ti vutte ±cariyupajjh±y±na½ ±cikkhi½su. Atha na½ te satthu santika½ netv± satthu dassesu½. Satth± “sacca½ kira tva½ ukkaºµhito”ti pucchitv±, “±ma, bhante”ti vutte “kasm± evamak±si, atthi pana te koci j²vitapaccayo”ti ±ha. “¾ma, bhante”ti. “Ki½ te atth²”ti? “Kah±paºasata½, bhante”ti. Tena hi katthaci t±va sakkhar± ±hara, gaºetv± j±niss±ma “sakk± v± t±vattakena j²vitu½, no v±”ti. So sakkhar± ±hari. Atha na½ satth± ±ha– “paribhogatth±ya t±va paºº±sa½ µhapehi, dvinna½ goº±na½ atth±ya catuv²sati, ettaka½ n±ma b²jatth±ya, yuganaªgalatth±ya, kudd±lav±sipharasu-atth±y±”ti eva½ gaºiyam±ne ta½ kah±paºasata½ nappahoti. Atha na½ satth± “bhikkhu tava kah±paº± appak±, katha½ ete niss±ya taºha½ p³ressasi, at²te kira cakkavattirajja½ k±retv± apphoµitamattena dv±dasayojanaµµh±ne kaµippam±ºena ratanavassa½ vass±petu½ samattho y±va chatti½sa sakk± cavanti, ettaka½ k±la½ devarajja½ k±retv±pi maraºak±le taºha½ ap³retv±va k±lamak±s²”ti vatv± tena y±cito at²ta½ ±haritv± mandh±tuj±taka½ (j±. 1.3.22) vitth±retv±–
“Y±vat± candimas³riy± pariharanti, dis± bhanti virocan±;
sabbeva d±s± mandh±tu, ye p±º± pathavissit±”ti.–

186. “Na kah±paºavassena, titti k±mesu vijjati;
appass±d± dukh± k±m±, iti viññ±ya paº¹ito.
187. “Api dibbesu k±mesu, rati½ so n±dhigacchati;
taºhakkhayarato hoti, samm±sambuddhas±vako”ti.
Tattha kah±paºavassen±ti ya½ so apphoµetv± sattaratanavassa½ vass±pesi, ta½ idha kah±paºavassanti vutta½. Tenapi hi vatthuk±makilesak±mesu titti n±ma natthi. Eva½ dupp³r± es± taºh±. Appass±d±ti supinasadisat±ya parittasukh±. Dukh±ti dukkhakkhandh±d²su ±gatadukkhavasena pana bahudukkh±va. Iti viññ±y±ti evamete k±me j±nitv±. Api dibbes³ti sace hi dev±na½ upakappanakak±mehi nimanteyy±pi ±yasm± samiddhi viya evampi tesu k±mesu rati½ na vindatiyeva. Taºhakkhayaratoti arahatte ceva nibb±ne ca abhirato hoti, ta½ patthayam±no viharati. Samm±sambuddhas±vakoti samm±sambuddhena desitassa dhammassa savanena j±to yog±vacarabhikkh³ti.
Desan±vas±ne so bhikkhu sot±pattiphale patiµµhahi, sampattaparis±yapi s±tthik± dhammadesan± ahos²ti.
