9. C³¼ak±la-up±sakavatthu

Attan± hi katanti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± jetavane viharanto c³¼ak±la½ up±saka½ ±rabbha kathesi.
Ekadivasañhi mah±k±lavatthusmi½ vuttanayeneva umaªgacor± s±mikehi anubaddh± ratti½ vih±re dhammakatha½ sutv± p±tova vih±r± nikkhamitv± s±vatthi½ ±gacchantassa tassa up±sakassa purato bhaº¹ika½ cha¹¹etv± pal±yi½su. Manuss± ta½ disv± “aya½ ratti½ corakamma½ katv± dhamma½ suºanto viya carati, gaºhatha nan”ti ta½ pothayi½su. Kumbhad±siyo udakatittha½ gaccham±n± ta½ disv± “apetha, s±mi, n±ya½ evar³pa½ karot²”ti ta½ mocesu½. So vih±ra½ gantv±, “bhante, ahamhi manussehi n±sito, kumbhad±siyo me niss±ya j²vita½ laddhan”ti bhikkh³na½ ±rocesi. Bhikkh³ tath±gatassa tamattha½ ±rocesu½. Satth± tesa½ katha½ sutv±, “bhikkhave, c³¼ak±la-up±sako kumbhad±siyo ceva niss±ya, attano ca akaraºabh±vena j²vita½ labhi. Ime hi n±ma satt± attan± p±pakamma½ katv± niray±d²su attan±va kilissanti, kusala½ katv± pana sugatiñceva nibb±nañca gacchant± attan±va visujjhant²”ti vatv± ima½ g±tham±ha–
165. “Attan± hi kata½ p±pa½, attan± sa½kilissati;
attan± akata½ p±pa½, attan±va visujjhati;
suddh² asuddhi paccatta½, n±ñño añña½ visodhaye”ti.
Tassattho yena attan± akusalakamma½ kata½ hoti, so cat³su ap±yesu dukkha½ anubhavanto attan±va sa½kilissati. Yena pana attan± akata½ p±pa½, so sugatiñceva nibb±nañca gacchanto attan±va visujjhati. Kusalakammasaªkh±t± suddhi akusalakammasaªkh±t± ca asuddhi paccatta½ k±rakasatt±na½ attaniyeva vipaccati. Añño puggalo añña½ puggala½ na visodhaye neva visodheti, na kileset²ti vutta½ hoti.
