7. L±¼ud±yittheravatthu

Appassut±yanti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± jetavane viharanto l±¼ud±yitthera½ ±rabbha kathesi.
So kira maªgala½ karont±na½ geha½ gantv± “tirokuµµesu tiµµhant²”ti-±din± (khu. p±. 7.1; pe va. 14) nayena avamaªgala½ katheti, avamaªgala½ karont±na½ geha½ gantv± tirokuµµ±d²su kathetabbesu “d±nañca dhammacariy± c±”ti-±din± (khu. p±. 5.7; su. ni. 266) nayena maªgalag±th± v± “ya½ kiñci vitta½ idha v± hura½ v±”ti ratanasutta½ (khu. p±. 6.3; su. ni. 226) v± katheti. Eva½ tesu tesu µh±nesu “añña½ kathess±m²”ti añña½ kathentopi “añña½ kathem²”ti na j±n±ti. Bhikkh³ tassa katha½ sutv± satthu ±rocesu½– “ki½, bhante, l±¼ud±yissa maªgal±maªgalaµµh±nesu gamanena, aññasmi½ kathetabbe aññameva kathet²”ti. Satth± “na, bhikkhave, id±nevesa eva½ katheti, pubbepi aññasmi½ kathetabbe aññameva kathes²”ti vatv± at²ta½ ±hari–
At²te kira b±r±ºasiya½ aggidattassa n±ma br±hmaºassa putto somadattakum±ro n±ma r±j±na½ upaµµhahi. So raññ± piyo ahosi man±po. Br±hmaºo pana kasikamma½ niss±ya j²vati. Tassa dveyeva goº± ahesu½. Tesu eko mato. Br±hmaºo putta½ ±ha– “t±ta, somadatta, r±j±na½ me y±citv± eka½ goºa½ ±har±”ti. Somadatto “sac±ha½ r±j±na½ y±ciss±mi, lahubh±vo me paññ±yissat²”ti cintetv± “tumheyeva, t±ta, r±j±na½ y±cath±”ti vatv± “tena hi, t±ta, ma½ gahetv± y±h²”ti vutto cintesi– “aya½ br±hmaºo dandhapañño abhikkam±divacanamattampi na j±n±ti, aññasmi½ vattabbe aññameva vadati, sikkh±petv± pana na½ ness±m²”ti. So ta½ ±d±ya b²raºatthambhaka½ n±ma sus±na½ gantv± tiºakal±pe bandhitv± “aya½ r±j±, aya½ upar±j±, aya½ sen±pat²”ti n±m±ni katv± paµip±µiy± pitu dassetv± “tumhehi r±jakula½ gantv± eva½ abhikkamitabba½, eva½ paµikkamitabba½, eva½ n±ma r±j± vattabbo, eva½ n±ma upar±j±, r±j±na½ pana upasaªkamitv± ‘jayatu bhava½, mah±r±j±’ti vatv± eva½ µhatv± ima½ g±tha½ vatv± goºa½ y±ceyy±th±”ti g±tha½ uggaºh±pesi–
“Dve me goº± mah±r±ja, yehi khetta½ kas±mase;
tesu eko mato deva, dutiya½ dehi khattiy±”ti.
So hi sa½vaccharamattena ta½ g±tha½ paguºa½ katv± paguºabh±va½ puttassa ±rocetv± “tena hi, t±ta, kañcideva paºº±k±ra½ ±d±ya ±gacchatha, aha½ purimatara½ gantv± rañño santike µhass±m²”ti vutte “s±dhu, t±t±”ti paºº±k±ra½ gahetv± somadattassa rañño santike µhitak±le uss±happatto r±jakula½ gantv± raññ± tuµµhacittena katapaµisammodano, “t±ta, cirassa½ vata ±gatattha, idam±sana½ nis²ditv± vadatha, yenattho”ti vutte ima½ g±tham±ha–
“Dve me goº± mah±r±ja, yehi khetta½ kas±mase;
tesu eko mato deva, dutiya½ gaºha khattiy±”ti.
Raññ± “ki½ vadesi, t±ta, puna vadeh²”ti vuttepi tameva g±tha½ ±ha. R±j± tena virajjhitv± kathitabh±va½ ñatv± sita½ katv±, “somadatta, tumh±ka½ gehe bah³ maññe goº±”ti vatv± “tumhehi dinn± bah³ bhavissanti, dev±”ti vutte bodhisattassa tussitv± br±hmaºassa so¼asa goºe alaªk±rabhaº¹aka½ niv±sag±mañcassa brahmadeyya½ datv± mahantena yasena br±hmaºa½ uyyojes²ti.
Satth± ima½ dhammadesana½ ±haritv± “tad± r±j± ±nando ahosi, br±hmaºo l±¼ud±y², somadatto pana ahamev±”ti j±taka½ samodh±netv± “na, bhikkhave, id±neva, pubbepesa attano appassutat±ya aññasmi½ vattabbe aññameva vadati. Appassutapuriso hi balibaddasadiso n±ma hot²”ti vatv± ima½ g±tham±ha–
152. “Appassut±ya½ puriso, balibaddova j²rati;
ma½s±ni tassa va¹¹hanti, paññ± tassa na va¹¹hat²”ti.
Tattha appassut±yanti ekassa v± dvinna½ v± paºº±sak±na½. Atha v± pana vagg±na½ sabbantimena paricchedena ekassa v± dvinna½ v± suttant±na½ v±pi abh±vena appassuto aya½. Kammaµµh±na½ pana uggahetv± anuyuñjanto bahussutova. Balibaddova j²rat²ti yath± hi balibaddo j²ram±no va¹¹ham±no neva m±tu, na pitu, na sesañ±tak±na½ atth±ya va¹¹hati, atha kho niratthakameva j²rati, evameva½ ayampi na upajjh±yavatta½ karoti, na ±cariyavatta½, na ±gantukavatt±d²ni, na bh±van±r±mata½ anuyuñjati, niratthakameva j²rati, ma½s±ni tassa va¹¹hant²ti yath± balibaddassa “yuganaªgal±d²ni vahitu½ asamattho eso”ti araññe vissaµµhassa tattheva vicarantassa kh±dantassa pivantassa ma½s±ni va¹¹hanti, evameva imass±pi upajjh±y±d²hi vissaµµhassa saªgha½ niss±ya catt±ro paccaye labhitv± uddhavirecan±d²ni katv± k±ya½ posentassa ma½s±ni va¹¹hanti, th³lasar²ro hutv± vicarati. Paññ± tass±ti lokiyalokuttar± panassa paññ± ekaªgulamatt±pi na va¹¹hati, araññe pana gacchalat±d²ni viya cha dv±r±ni niss±ya taºh± ceva navavidham±no ca va¹¹hat²ti attho.
Desan±vas±ne mah±jano sot±pattiphal±d²ni p±puº²ti.
