95. Atha kho uttiyo paribb±jako yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavat± saddhi½ sammodi. Sammodan²ya½ katha½ s±raº²ya½ v²tis±retv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho uttiyo paribb±jako bhagavanta½ etadavoca– “ki½ nu kho, bho gotama, sassato loko, idameva sacca½ moghamaññan”ti? “Aby±kata½ kho eta½, uttiya, may±– ‘sassato loko, idameva sacca½ moghamañña”n’ti.
“Ki½ pana, bho gotama, asassato loko, idameva sacca½ moghamaññan”ti? “Etampi kho, uttiya, aby±kata½ may±– ‘asassato loko, idameva sacca½ moghamañña”n’ti.
“Ki½ nu kho, bho gotama, antav± loko…pe… anantav± loko… ta½ j²va½ ta½ sar²ra½… añña½ j²va½ añña½ sar²ra½… hoti tath±gato para½ maraº± na hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±… hoti ca na ca hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±… neva hoti na na hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±, idameva sacca½ moghamaññan”ti? “Etampi kho, uttiya, aby±kata½ may±– ‘neva hoti na na hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±, idameva sacca½ moghamañña”n’ti.
“‘Ki½ nu kho, bho gotama, sassato loko, idameva sacca½ moghamaññan’ti, iti puµµho sam±no ‘aby±kata½ kho eta½, uttiya, may±– sassato loko, idameva sacca½ moghamaññan’ti vadesi.
“‘Ki½ pana, bho gotama, asassato loko, idameva sacca½ moghamaññan’ti, iti puµµho sam±no– ‘etampi kho, uttiya, aby±kata½ may± asassato loko, idameva sacca½ moghamaññan’ti vadesi.
“‘Ki½ nu kho, bho gotama, antav± loko…pe… anantav± loko… ta½ j²va½ ta½ sar²ra½… añña½ j²va½ añña½ sar²ra½… hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±… na hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±… hoti ca na ca hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±… neva hoti na na hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±, idameva sacca½ moghamaññanti, iti puµµho sam±no ‘etampi kho, uttiya, aby±kata½ may±– ‘neva hoti na na hoti tath±gato para½ maraº±, idameva sacca½ moghamaññan’ti vadesi. Atha kiñcarahi bhot± gotamena by±katan”ti?
“Abhiññ±ya kho aha½, uttiya, s±vak±na½ dhamma½ desemi satt±na½ visuddhiy± sokaparidev±na½ samatikkam±ya dukkhadomanass±na½ atthaªgam±ya ñ±yassa adhigam±ya nibb±nassa sacchikiriy±y±”ti.
“Ya½ paneta½ bhava½ gotamo abhiññ±ya s±vak±na½ dhamma½ desesi satt±na½ visuddhiy± sokaparidev±na½ samatikkam±ya dukkhadomanass±na½ atthaªgam±ya ñ±yassa adhigam±ya nibb±nassa sacchikiriy±ya, sabbo v± [sabbo ca (ka.)] tena loko n²yati [n²yissati (s².), niyy±ssati (sy±.), niyya½ssati (p².)] upa¹¹ho v± tibh±go v±”ti [tibh±go v±ti padehi (ka.)]? Eva½ vutte bhagav± tuºh² ahosi.
Atha kho ±yasmato ±nandassa etadahosi– “m± heva½ kho uttiyo paribb±jako p±paka½ diµµhigata½ paµilabhi– ‘sabbas±mukka½sika½ vata me samaºo gotamo pañha½ puµµho sa½s±deti, no vissajjeti, na n³na visahat²’ti. Tadassa uttiyassa paribb±jakassa d²gharatta½ ahit±ya dukkh±y±”ti.
Atha kho ±yasm± ±nando uttiya½ paribb±jaka½ etadavoca– “tenah±vuso uttiya, upama½ te kariss±mi. Upam±ya midhekacce viññ³ puris± bh±sitassa attha½ ±j±nanti. Seyyath±pi, ±vuso uttiya, rañño paccantima½ nagara½ da¼huddh±pa½ [da¼hudd±pa½ (s². p².)] da¼hap±k±ratoraºa½ ekadv±ra½. Tatrassa dov±riko paº¹ito byatto medh±v² aññ±t±na½ niv±ret± ñ±t±na½ paveset±. So tassa nagarassa samant± anupariy±yapatha½ anukkamati. Anupariy±yapatha½ anukkamam±no na passeyya p±k±rasandhi½ v± p±k±ravivara½ v±, antamaso bi¼±ranikkhamanamattampi. No ca khvassa eva½ ñ±ºa½ hoti– ‘ettak± p±º± ima½ nagara½ pavisanti v± nikkhamanti v±’ti. Atha khvassa evamettha hoti– ‘ye kho keci o¼±rik± p±º± ima½ nagara½ pavisanti v± nikkhamanti v±, sabbe te imin± dv±rena pavisanti v± nikkhamanti v±’ti.
“Evameva½ kho, ±vuso uttiya, na tath±gatassa eva½ ussukka½ hoti– ‘sabbo v± tena loko n²yati, upa¹¹ho v±, tibh±go v±’ti. Atha kho evamettha tath±gatassa hoti– ‘ye kho keci lokamh± n²yi½su v± n²yanti v± n²yissanti v±, sabbe te pañca n²varaºe pah±ya cetaso upakkilese paññ±ya dubbal²karaºe, cat³su satipaµµh±nesu suppatiµµhitacitt±, satta bojjhaªge yath±bh³ta½ bh±vetv±. Evamete [evametena (ka.)] lokamh± n²yi½su v± n²yanti v± n²yissanti v±’ti. Yadeva kho tva½ [yadeva khvettha (ka.)], ±vuso uttiya, bhagavanta½ pañha½ [ima½ pañha½ (sy±. ka.)] apucchi tadeveta½ pañha½ bhagavanta½ aññena pariy±yena apucchi. Tasm± te ta½ bhagav± na by±k±s²”ti.
