92. [A. ni. 9.27; sa½. ni. 5.1024] atha kho an±thapiº¹iko gahapati yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinna½ kho an±thapiº¹ika½ gahapati½ bhagav± etadavoca–
“Yato, kho, gahapati, ariyas±vakassa pañca bhay±ni ver±ni v³pasant±ni honti, cat³hi ca sot±pattiyaªgehi samann±gato hoti, ariyo cassa ñ±yo paññ±ya sudiµµho hoti suppaµividdho, so ±kaªkham±no attan±va att±na½ by±kareyya– ‘kh²ºanirayomhi kh²ºatiracch±nayoni kh²ºapettivisayo kh²º±p±yaduggativinip±to. Sot±pannohamasmi avinip±tadhammo niyato sambodhipar±yaºo’ti.
“Katam±ni pañca bhay±ni ver±ni v³pasant±ni honti? Ya½ gahapati, p±º±tip±t² p±º±tip±tapaccay± diµµhadhammikampi bhaya½ vera½ pasavati sampar±yikampi bhaya½ vera½ pasavati cetasikampi dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti, p±º±tip±t± paµivirato neva diµµhadhammikampi [neva diµµhadhammika½] bhaya½ vera½ pasavati na sampar±yikampi [na sampar±yika½] bhaya½ vera½ pasavati na cetasikampi [na cetasika½ (s². sy±. p².)] dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti. P±º±tip±t± paµiviratassa eva½ ta½ bhaya½ vera½ v³pasanta½ hoti
“Ya½ gahapati, adinn±d±y²…pe… k±mesumicch±c±r²… mus±v±d²… sur±merayamajjapam±daµµh±y² sur±merayamajjapam±daµµh±napaccay± diµµhadhammikampi bhaya½ vera½ pasavati sampar±yikampi bhaya½ vera½ pasavati cetasikampi dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti, sur±merayamajjapam±daµµh±n± paµivirato neva diµµhadhammikampi bhaya½ vera½ pasavati na sampar±yikampi bhaya½ vera½ pasavati na cetasikampi dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti. Sur±merayamajjapam±daµµh±n± paµiviratassa eva½ ta½ bhaya½ vera½ v³pasanta½ hoti. Im±ni pañca bhay±ni ver±ni v³pasant±ni honti.
“Katamehi cat³hi sot±pattiyaªgehi samann±gato hoti? Idha, gahapati, ariyas±vako buddhe aveccappas±dena samann±gato hoti– ‘itipi so bhagav±…pe… buddho bhagav±’ti; dhamme aveccappas±dena samann±gato hoti– ‘sv±kkh±to bhagavat± dhammo sandiµµhiko ak±liko ehipassiko opaneyyiko paccatta½ veditabbo viññ³h²’ti; saªghe aveccappas±dena samann±gato hoti– ‘suppaµipanno bhagavato s±vakasaªgho, ujuppaµipanno bhagavato s±vakasaªgho, ñ±yappaµipanno bhagavato s±vakasaªgho, s±m²cippaµipanno bhagavato s±vakasaªgho, yadida½ catt±ri purisayug±ni aµµha purisapuggal±, esa bhagavato s±vakasaªgho ±huneyyo p±huneyyo dakkhiºeyyo añjalikaraº²yo anuttara½ puññakkhetta½ lokass±’ti; ariyakantehi s²lehi samann±gato hoti ‘akhaº¹ehi acchiddehi asabalehi akamm±sehi bhujissehi viññuppasatthehi apar±maµµhehi sam±dhisa½vattanikehi’. Imehi cat³hi sot±pattiyaªgehi samann±gato hoti.
“Katamo cassa ariyo ñ±yo paññ±ya sudiµµho hoti suppaµividdho? Idha, gahapati, ariyas±vako iti paµisañcikkhati– ‘iti imasmi½ sati ida½ hoti; imassupp±d± ida½ uppajjati; imasmi½ asati ida½ na hoti; imassa nirodh± ida½ nirujjhati, yadida½– avijj±paccay± saªkh±r±, saªkh±rapaccay± viññ±ºa½, viññ±ºapaccay± n±mar³pa½, n±mar³papaccay± sa¼±yatana½, sa¼±yatanapaccay± phasso, phassapaccay± vedan±, vedan±paccay± taºh±, taºh±paccay± up±d±na½, up±d±napaccay± bhavo, bhavapaccay± j±ti, j±tipaccay± jar±maraºa½ sokaparidevadukkhadomanassup±y±s± sambhavanti, evametassa kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa samudayo hoti; avijj±ya tveva asesavir±ganirodh± saªkh±ranirodho…pe… evametassa kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa nirodho hot²’ti. Ayañcassa ariyo ñ±yo paññ±ya sudiµµho hoti suppaµividdho.
“Yato kho, gahapati, ariyas±vakassa im±ni pañca bhay±ni ver±ni v³pasant±ni honti, imehi ca cat³hi sot±pattiyaªgehi samann±gato hoti, ayañcassa ariyo ñ±yo paññ±ya sudiµµho hoti suppaµividdho so ±kaªkham±no attan±va att±na½ by±kareyya– ‘kh²ºanirayomhi kh²ºatiracch±nayoni kh²ºapettivisayo kh²º±p±yaduggativinip±to; sot±pannohamasmi avinip±tadhammo niyato sambodhipar±yaºo”ti.
