14. “Yassa kassaci, bhikkhave, bhikkhussa v± bhikkhuniy± v± pañca cetokhil± appah²n± pañca cetasovinibandh± asamucchinn±, tassa y± ratti v± divaso v± ±gacchati h±niyeva p±µikaªkh± kusalesu dhammesu no vuddhi.
“Katamassa pañca cetokhil± appah²n± honti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu satthari kaªkhati vicikicchati n±dhimuccati na sampas²dati. Yo so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu satthari kaªkhati vicikicchati n±dhimuccati na sampas²dati, tassa citta½ na namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya. Yassa citta½ na namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya, evamass±ya½ paµhamo cetokhilo appah²no hoti.
“Puna capara½, bhikkhave, bhikkhu dhamme kaªkhati…pe… saªghe kaªkhati… sikkh±ya kaªkhati… sabrahmac±r²su kupito hoti anattamano ±hatacitto khilaj±to. Yo so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sabrahmac±r²su kupito hoti anattamano ±hatacitto khilaj±to, tassa citta½ na namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya. Yassa citta½ na namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya, evamass±ya½ pañcamo cetokhilo appah²no hoti. Imassa pañca cetokhil± appah²n± honti.
“Katamassa pañca cetasovinibandh± asamucchinn± honti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±mesu av²tar±go hoti avigatacchando avigatapemo avigatapip±so avigatapari¼±ho avigatataºho. Yo so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±mesu av²tar±go hoti avigatacchando avigatapemo avigatapip±so avigatapari¼±ho avigatataºho tassa citta½ na namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya. Yassa citta½ na namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya, evamass±ya½ paµhamo cetasovinibandho asamucchinno hoti.
“Puna capara½, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±ye av²tar±go hoti…pe… r³pe av²tar±go hoti…pe… y±vadattha½ udar±vadehaka½ bhuñjitv± seyyasukha½ passasukha½ middhasukha½ anuyutto viharati… aññatara½ devanik±ya½ paºidh±ya brahmacariya½ carati– ‘imin±ha½ s²lena v± vatena v± tapena v± brahmacariyena v± devo v± bhaviss±mi devaññataro v±’ti. Yo so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu aññatara½ devanik±ya½ paºidh±ya brahmacariya½ carati– ‘imin±ha½ s²lena v± vatena v± tapena v± brahmacariyena v± devo v± bhaviss±mi devaññataro v±’ti, tassa citta½ na namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya. Yassa citta½ na namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya, evamass±ya½ pañcamo cetasovinibandho asamucchinno hoti. Imassa pañca cetasovinibandh± asamucchinn± honti.
“Yassa kassaci, bhikkhave, bhikkhussa v± bhikkhuniy± v± ime pañca cetokhil± appah²n± ime pañca cetasovinibandh± asamucchinn±, tassa y± ratti v± divaso v± ±gacchati h±niyeva p±µikaªkh± kusalesu dhammesu no vuddhi.
“Seyyath±pi, bhikkhave, k±¼apakkhe candassa y± ratti v± divaso v± ±gacchati, h±yateva vaººena h±yati maº¹alena h±yati ±bh±ya h±yati ±rohapariº±hena; evameva½ kho, bhikkhave, yassa kassaci bhikkhussa v± bhikkhuniy± v± ime pañca cetokhil± appah²n± ime pañca cetasovinibandh± asamucchinn±, tassa y± ratti v± divaso v± ±gacchati h±niyeva p±µikaªkh± kusalesu dhammesu no vuddhi.
“Yassa kassaci, bhikkhave, bhikkhussa v± bhikkhuniy± v± pañca cetokhil± pah²n± pañca cetasovinibandh± susamucchinn±, tassa y± ratti v± divaso v± ±gacchati vuddhiyeva p±µikaªkh± kusalesu dhammesu no parih±ni.
“Katamassa pañca cetokhil± pah²n± honti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu satthari na kaªkhati na vicikicchati, adhimuccati sampas²dati. Yo so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu satthari na kaªkhati na vicikicchati adhimuccati sampas²dati, tassa citta½ namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya. Yassa citta½ namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya, evamass±ya½ paµhamo cetokhilo pah²no hoti.
“Puna capara½, bhikkhave, bhikkhu dhamme na kaªkhati…pe… saªghe na kaªkhati… sikkh±ya na kaªkhati sabrahmac±r²su na kupito hoti attamano na ±hatacitto na khilaj±to. Yo so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sabrahmac±r²su na kupito hoti attamano na ±hatacitto na khilaj±to tassa citta½ namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya. Yassa citta½ namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya, evamass±ya½ pañcamo cetokhilo pah²no hoti. Imassa pañca cetokhil± pah²n± honti.
“Katamassa pañca cetasovinibandh± susamucchinn± honti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±mesu v²tar±go hoti vigatacchando vigatapemo vigatapip±so vigatapari¼±ho vigatataºho. Yo so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±mesu v²tar±go hoti vigatacchando vigatapemo vigatapip±so vigatapari¼±ho vigatataºho, tassa citta½ namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya. Yassa citta½ namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya, evamass±ya½ paµhamo cetasovinibandho susamucchinno hoti.
“Puna capara½, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±ye v²tar±go hoti…pe… r³pe v²tar±go hoti …pe… na y±vadattha½ udar±vadehaka½ bhuñjitv± seyyasukha½ passasukha½ middhasukha½ anuyutto viharati, na aññatara½ devanik±ya½ paºidh±ya brahmacariya½ carati– ‘imin±ha½ s²lena v± vatena v± tapena v± brahmacariyena v± devo v± bhaviss±mi devaññataro v±’ti. Yo so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu na aññatara½ devanik±ya½ paºidh±ya…pe… devaññataro v±ti, tassa citta½ namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya. Yassa citta½ namati ±tapp±ya anuyog±ya s±tacc±ya padh±n±ya, evamass±ya½ pañcamo cetasovinibandho susamucchinno hoti. Imassa pañca cetasovinibandh± susamucchinn± honti.
“Yassa kassaci, bhikkhave, bhikkhussa v± bhikkhuniy± v± ime pañca cetokhil± pah²n± ime pañca cetasovinibandh± susamucchinn± tassa y± ratti v± divaso v± ±gacchati vuddhiyeva p±µikaªkh± kusalesu dhammesu no parih±ni.
“Seyyath±pi, bhikkhave, juºhapakkhe candassa y± ratti v± divaso v± ±gacchati, va¹¹hateva vaººena va¹¹hati maº¹alena va¹¹hati ±bh±ya va¹¹hati ±rohapariº±hena; evameva½ kho, bhikkhave, yassa kassaci bhikkhussa v± bhikkhuniy± v± ime pañca cetokhil± pah²n± ime pañca cetasovinibandh± susamucchinn±, tassa y± ratti v± divaso v± ±gacchati vuddhiyeva p±µikaªkh± kusalesu dhammesu no parih±n²”ti.
