Yasmi½, bhikkhave, samaye ±raññikassa n±gassa gocarapasutassa hatth²pi hatthiniyopi hatthikalabh±pi hatthicch±p±pi obhaggobhagga½ s±kh±bhaªga½ kh±danti, tena, bhikkhave, ±raññiko n±go aµµ²yati har±yati jigucchati. Yasmi½ bhikkhave, samaye ±raññikassa n±gassa og±ha½ otiººassa hatth²pi hatthiniyopi hatthikalabh±pi hatthicch±p±pi purato purato gantv± soº¹±ya udaka½ ±lo¼enti, tena, bhikkhave, ±raññiko n±go aµµ²yati har±yati jigucchati. Yasmi½, bhikkhave, samaye ±raññikassa n±gassa og±h± uttiººassa hatthiniyo k±ya½ upanigha½santiyo gacchanti, tena, bhikkhave, ±raññiko n±go aµµ²yati har±yati jigucchati.
“Tasmi½, bhikkhave, samaye ±raññikassa n±gassa eva½ hoti– ‘aha½ kho etarahi ±kiººo vihar±mi hatth²hi hatthin²hi hatthikalabhehi hatthicch±pehi Chinnagg±ni ceva tiº±ni kh±d±mi, obhaggobhaggañca me s±kh±bhaªga½ kh±danti [kh±dita½ (sy±. ka.) mah±va. 467 passitabba½], ±vil±ni ca p±n²y±ni piv±mi, og±h± ca [og±h±pi ca (sy±. ka.) mah±va. 467 passitabba½] me uttiººassa hatthiniyo k±ya½ upanigha½santiyo gacchanti. Ya½n³n±ha½ eko gaºasm± v³pakaµµho vihareyyan’ti. So aparena samayena eko gaºasm± v³pakaµµho viharati, acchinnagg±ni ceva tiº±ni kh±dati, obhaggobhaggañcassa s±kh±bhaªga½ na kh±danti [na obhaggobhaggañca s±kh±bhaªga kh±dati (sy±. ka.)], an±vil±ni ca p±n²y±ni pivati, og±h± cassa uttiººassa na hatthiniyo k±ya½ upanigha½santiyo gacchanti.
“Tasmi½, bhikkhave, samaye ±raññikassa n±gassa eva½ hoti– ‘aha½ kho pubbe ±kiººo vih±si½ hatth²hi hatthin²hi hatthikalabhehi hatthicch±pehi, chinnagg±ni ceva tiº±ni kh±di½, obhaggobhaggañca me s±kh±bhaªga½ kh±di½su, ±vil±ni ca p±n²y±ni ap±yi½, og±h± [ettha pisaddo sabbatthapi natthi] ca me uttiººassa hatthiniyo k±ya½ upanigha½santiyo agama½su. Soha½ etarahi eko gaºasm± v³pakaµµho vihar±mi, acchinnagg±ni ceva tiº±ni kh±d±mi, obhaggobhaggañca me s±kh±bhaªga½ na kh±danti, an±vil±ni ca p±n²y±ni piv±mi, og±h± ca me uttiººassa na hatthiniyo k±ya½ upanigha½santiyo gacchant²’ti. So soº¹±ya s±kh±bhaªga½ bhañjitv± s±kh±bhaªgena k±ya½ parimajjitv± attamano soº¹a½ sa½harati [kaº¹u½ sa½hanti (s². p².) kaº¹u½ sa½hanati (sy±.), ettha kaº¹uvanadukkha½ vinet²ti attho],.
“Evameva½ kho, bhikkhave, yasmi½ samaye bhikkhu ±kiººo viharati bhikkh³hi bhikkhun²hi up±sakehi up±sik±hi raññ± r±jamah±mattehi titthiyehi titthiyas±vakehi, tasmi½, bhikkhave, samaye bhikkhussa eva½ hoti– ‘aha½ kho etarahi ±kiººo vihar±mi bhikkh³hi bhikkhun²hi up±sakehi up±sik±hi raññ± r±jamah±mattehi titthiyehi titthiyas±vakehi. Ya½n³n±ha½ eko gaºasm± v³pakaµµho vihareyyan’ti. So vivitta½ sen±sana½ bhajati arañña½ rukkham³la½ pabbata½ kandara½ giriguha½ sus±na½ vanapattha½ abbhok±sa½ pal±lapuñja½ So araññagato v± rukkham³lagato v± suññ±g±ragato v± nis²dati pallaªka½ ±bhujitv± uju½ k±ya½ paºidh±ya parimukha½ sati½ upaµµhapetv±.
“So abhijjha½ loke pah±ya vigat±bhijjhena cetas± viharati, abhijjh±ya citta½ parisodheti; by±p±dapadosa½ pah±ya aby±pannacitto viharati sabbap±ºabh³tahit±nukamp², by±p±dapados± citta½ parisodheti; thinamiddha½ pah±ya vigatathinamiddho viharati ±lokasaññ² sato sampaj±no, thinamiddh± citta½ parisodheti; uddhaccakukkucca½ pah±ya anuddhato viharati ajjhatta½ v³pasantacitto, uddhaccakukkucc± citta½ parisodheti; vicikiccha½ pah±ya tiººavicikiccho viharati akatha½kath² kusalesu dhammesu, vicikicch±ya citta½ parisodheti. So ime pañca n²varaºe pah±ya cetaso upakkilese paññ±ya dubbal²karaºe vivicceva k±mehi vivicca akusalehi dhammehi savitakka½ savic±ra½ vivekaja½ p²tisukha½ paµhama½ jh±na½ upasampajja viharati. So attamano soº¹a½ sa½harati [kaº¹u½ sa½hanti (s². p².), kaº¹u½ sa½hanati (sy±.), ettha kaº¹uvanasadisa½ jh±napaµipakkha½ kilesadukkha½ vinet²ti attho]. Vitakkavic±r±na½ v³pasam±…pe… dutiya½ jh±na½… tatiya½ jh±na½… catuttha½ jh±na½ upasampajja viharati. So attamano soº¹a½ sa½harati.
“Sabbaso r³pasaññ±na½ samatikkam± paµighasaññ±na½ atthaªgam± n±nattasaññ±na½ amanasik±r± ‘ananto ±k±so’ti ±k±s±nañc±yatana½ upasampajja viharati. So attamano soº¹a½ sa½harati. Sabbaso ±k±s±nañc±yatana½ samatikkamma ‘ananta½ viññ±ºan’ti viññ±ºañc±yatana½ upasampajja viharati… sabbaso viññ±ºañc±yatana½ samatikkamma ‘natthi kiñc²’ti ±kiñcaññ±yatana½ upasampajja viharati… sabbaso ±kiñcaññ±yatana½ samatikkamma nevasaññ±n±saññ±yatana½ upasampajja viharati… sabbaso nevasaññ±n±saññ±yatana½ samatikkamma saññ±vedayitanirodha½ upasampajja viharati, paññ±ya cassa disv± ±sav± parikkh²º± honti.
