19. Navame pah±r±doti eva½n±mako. Asurindoti asurajeµµhako. Asuresu hi vepacitti r±hu pah±r±doti ime tayo jeµµhak±. Yena bhagav± tenupasaŖkam²ti dasabalassa abhisambuddhadivasato paµµh±ya “ajja gamiss±mi sve gamiss±m²”ti ek±dasa vass±ni atikkamitv± dv±dasame vasse satthu verańj±ya½ vasanak±le “samm±sambuddhassa santika½ gamiss±m²”ti citta½ upp±detv± “mama ‘ajja sve’ti dv±dasa vass±ni j±t±ni, hand±ha½ id±neva gacch±m²”ti taŖkhaŗa½yeva asuragaŗaparivuto asurabhavan± nikkhamitv± div± divassa yena bhagav± tenupasaŖkami, ekamanta½ aµµh±s²ti so kira “tath±gata½ pańha½ pucchitv± eva dhamma½ suŗiss±m²”ti ±gato, tath±gatassa pana diµµhak±lato paµµh±ya buddhag±ravena pucchitu½ asakkonto api satth±ra½ vanditv± ekamanta½ aµµh±si. Tato satth± cintesi– “aya½ pah±r±do mayi akathente paµhamatara½ kathetu½ na sakkhissati, ciŗŗavasiµµh±neyeva na½ kath±samuµµh±panattha½ eka½ pańha½ pucchiss±m²”ti
Atha na½ pucchanto api pana pah±r±d±ti-±dim±ha. Tattha abhiramant²ti rati½ vindanti, anukkaŗµham±n± vasant²ti attho. So “pariciŗŗaµµh±neyeva ma½ bhagav± pucchat²”ti attamano hutv± abhiramanti, bhanteti ±ha. Anupubbaninnoti-±d²ni sabb±ni anupaµip±µiy± ninnabh±vassa vevacan±ni. Na ±yatakeneva pap±toti na chinnataµamah±sobbho viya ±ditova pap±to So hi t²rato paµµh±ya ekaŖguladvaŖgulavidatthiratanayaµµhi-usabha-a¹¹hag±vutag±vuta-a¹¹hayojan±divasena gambh²ro hutv± gacchanto sinerup±dam³le catur±s²tiyojanasahassagambh²ro hutv± µhitoti dasseti.

Aya½ t±va jambud²po dasasahassayojanaparim±ŗo, tattha catusahassayojanaparim±ŗo padeso udakena ajjhotthaµo mah±samuddoti saŖkha½ gato, tisahassayojanappam±ŗe manuss± vasanti, tisahassayojanappam±ŗe himav± patiµµhito ubbedhena pańcayojanasatiko catur±s²tik³µasahassapaµimaŗ¹ito samantato sandam±napańcasatanad²vicitto, yattha ±y±mavitth±rena ca gambh²rato ca paŗŗ±sapaŗŗ±sayojan± diya¹¹hayojanasataparimaŗ¹al± anotattadaho kaŗŗamuŗ¹adaho rathak±radaho chaddantadaho kuŗ±ladaho mand±kinidaho s²happap±tadahoti satta mah±sar± patiµµhahanti.
Tesu anotatto sudassanak³µa½ cittak³µa½ k±¼ak³µa½ gandham±danak³µa½ kel±sak³µanti imehi pańcahi pabbatehi parikkhitto. Tattha sudassanak³µa½ sovaŗŗamaya½ dviyojanasatubbedha½ antovaŖka½ k±kamukhasaŗµh±na½ tameva sara½ paµicch±detv± tiµµhati, cittak³µa½ sabbaratanamaya½, k±¼ak³µa½ ańjanamaya½, gandham±danak³µa½ s±numaya½ abbhantare muggavaŗŗa½, m³lagandho s±ragandho pheggugandho tacagandho papaµik±gandho rasagandho pattagandho pupphagandho phalagandho gandhagandhoti imehi dasahi gandhehi ussanna½, n±nappak±ra-osadhasańchanna½ k±¼apakkha-uposathadivase ±dittamiva aŖg±ra½ jalanta½ tiµµhati, kel±sak³µa½ rajatamaya½. Sabb±ni sudassanena sam±nubbedhasaŗµh±n±ni tameva sara½ paµicch±detv± µhit±ni. T±ni sabb±ni dev±nubh±vena n±g±nubh±vena ca vassanti, nadiyo cetesu sandanti. Ta½ sabbampi udaka½ anotattameva pavisati. Candimas³riy± dakkhiŗena v± uttarena v± gacchant± pabbatantarena tattha obh±sa½ karonti, uju½ gacchant± na karonti. Tenevassa anotatto tisaŖkh± udap±di.
Tattha manoharasil±tal±ni nimmacchakacchap±ni phalikasadisanimmalodak±ni nh±natitth±ni supaµiyatt±ni honti yesu buddh± kh²ŗ±sav± ca paccekabuddh± ca iddhimant± ca isayo nh±yanti, devayakkh±dayo udakak²¼a½ k²¼anti.
Tassa cat³su passesu s²hamukha½, hatthimukha½, assamukha½, usabhamukhanti catt±ri mukh±ni honti, yehi catasso nadiyo sandanti. S²hamukhena nikkhantanad²t²re s²h± bahutar± honti, hatthimukh±d²hi hatthi-assa-usabh±. Puratthimadisato nikkhantanad² anotatta½ tikkhattu½ padakkhiŗa½ katv± itar± tisso nadiyo anupagamma p±c²nahimavanteneva amanussapatha½ gantv± mah±samudda½ pavisati. Pacchimadisato ca uttaradisato ca nikkhantanadiyopi tatheva padakkhiŗa½ katv± pacchimahimavanteneva uttarahimavanteneva ca amanussapatha½ gantv± mah±samudda½ pavisanti. Dakkhiŗamukhato nikkhantanad² pana ta½ tikkhattu½ padakkhiŗa½ katv± uttarena ujuka½ p±s±ŗapiµµheneva saµµhi yojan±ni gantv± pabbata½ paharitv± uµµh±ya parikkhepena tig±vutappam±ŗ± udakadh±r± hutv± ±k±sena saµµhi yojan±ni gantv± tiyagga¼e n±ma p±s±ŗe patit±, p±s±ŗo udakadh±r±vegena bhinno. Tato ghanapathavi½ bhinditv± ummaŖgena saµµhi yojan±ni gantv± gińjha½ n±ma tiracch±napabbata½ paharitv± hatthatale pańcaŖgulisadis± pańca dh±r± hutv± pavattati. Mah±samuddassa hi aya½ dhammat±– “imasmi½ k±le devo mando j±to, j±lakkhip±d²ni ±d±ya macchakacchape gaŗhiss±m±”ti v± “imasmi½ k±le mahant± vuµµhi, labhiss±ma nu kho piµµhipas±raŗaµµh±nan”ti v± vattu½ na sakk±. Anupubbasikkh±ti-±d²su anupubbasikkh±ya tisso sikkh± gahit±, anupubbakiriy±ya terasa dhutaŖg±ni, anupubbapaµipad±ya satta anupassan± aµµh±rasa mah±vipassan± aµµhati½sa ±rammaŗavibhattiyo sattati½sa bodhapakkhiyadhamm± Na ±yatakeneva ańń±paµivedhoti maŗ¹³kassa uppatitv± gamana½ viya ±ditova s²lap³raŗ±di½ akatv± arahattappaµivedho n±ma natthi, paµip±µiy± pana s²lasam±dhipańń±yo p³retv±va sakk± arahatta½ pattunti attho.
