Addas± kho bhagav± addh±namaggappaµipanno aññatarasmi½ padese mahanta½ aggikkhandha½ ±ditta½ sampajjalita½ sajotibh³ta½ [sañjotibh³ta½ (sy±.)]. Disv±na magg± okkamma aññatarasmi½ rukkham³le paññatte ±sane nis²di. Nisajja kho bhagav± bhikkh³ ±mantesi– “passatha no tumhe, bhikkhave, amu½ mahanta½ aggikkhandha½ ±ditta½ sampajjalita½ sajotibh³tan”ti? “Eva½, bhante”ti.

“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, eva½ sikkhitabba½– ‘yesañca [yesa½ (?)] Maya½ paribhuñj±ma c²varapiº¹ap±tasen±sanagil±nappaccayabhesajjaparikkh±ra½ [… parikkh±r±na½ (s². sy±. ka.)] tesa½ te k±r± mahapphal± bhavissanti mah±nisa½s±, amh±kañcev±ya½ pabbajj± avañjh± bhavissati saphal± sa-udray±’ti. Evañhi vo, bhikkhave, sikkhitabba½– ‘attattha½ v±, bhikkhave, sampassam±nena alameva appam±dena samp±detu½; parattha½ v±, bhikkhave, sampassam±nena alameva appam±dena samp±detu½; ubhayattha½ v±, bhikkhave, sampassam±nena alameva appam±dena samp±detu”n’ti.
