57. Eka½ samaya½ bhagav± r±jagahe viharati gijjhak³µe pabbate. Atha kho ±yasm± ±nando yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho ±yasm± ±nando bhagavanta½ etadavoca– “p³raºena, bhante, kassapena cha¼abhij±tiyo paññatt±– kaºh±bhij±ti paññatt±, n²l±bhij±ti paññatt±, lohit±bhij±ti paññatt±, halidd±bhij±ti paññatt±, sukk±bhij±ti paññatt±, paramasukk±bhij±ti paññatt±.
“Tatrida½ bhante, p³raºena kassapena kaºh±bhij±ti paññatt±, orabbhik± s³karik± s±kuºik± m±gavik± ludd± macchagh±tak± cor± coragh±tak± bandhan±g±rik± ye v± panaññepi keci kur³rakammant±.
“Tatrida½, bhante, p³raºena kassapena n²l±bhij±ti paññatt±, bhikkh³ kaºµakavuttik± ye v± panaññepi keci kammav±d± kriyav±d±.
“Tatrida½, bhante, p³raºena kassapena lohit±bhij±ti paññatt±, nigaºµh± ekas±µak±
“Tatrida½, bhante, p³raºena kassapena halidd±bhij±ti paññatt±, gih² od±tavasan± acelakas±vak±
“Tatrida½, bhante, p³raºena kassapena sukk±bhij±ti paññatt±, ±j²vak± ±j²vakiniyo.
“Tatrida½, bhante, p³raºena kassapena paramasukk±bhij±ti paññatt±, nando vaccho kiso sa½kicco makkhali gos±lo. P³raºena, bhante, kassapena im± cha¼abhij±tiyo paññatt±”ti.
“Ki½ pan±nanda, p³raºassa kassapassa sabbo loko etadabbhanuj±n±ti im± cha¼abhij±tiyo paññ±petun”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Seyyath±pi, ±nanda, puriso daliddo assako an±¼hiko, tassa ak±makassa bila½ olaggeyyu½– ‘ida½ te, ambho purisa, ma½sañca kh±ditabba½, m³lañca anuppad±tabban’ti. Evameva½ kho, ±nanda, p³raºena kassapena appaµiññ±ya etesa½ samaºabr±hmaº±na½ im± cha¼abhij±tiyo paññatt±, yath± ta½ b±lena abyattena akhettaññun± akusalena.
“Aha½ kho pan±nanda, cha¼abhij±tiyo paññ±pemi. Ta½ suº±hi, s±dhuka½ manasi karohi; bh±siss±m²”ti. “Eva½, bhante”ti kho ±yasm± ±nando bhagavato paccassosi. Bhagav± etadavoca– “katam± c±nanda, cha¼abhij±tiyo Idh±nanda, ekacco kaºh±bhij±tiyo sam±no kaºha½ dhamma½ abhij±yati. Idha pan±nanda, ekacco kaºh±bhij±tiyo sam±no sukka½ dhamma½ abhij±yati. Idha pan±nanda, ekacco kaºh±bhij±tiyo sam±no akaºha½ asukka½ nibb±na½ abhij±yati. Idha pan±nanda, ekacco sukk±bhij±tiyo sam±no kaºha½ dhamma½ abhij±yati. So ca hoti dubbaººo duddasiko okoµimako bavh±b±dho k±ºo v± kuº² v± khañjo v± pakkhahato v±, na l±bh² annassa p±nassa vatthassa y±nassa m±l±gandhavilepanassa seyy±vasathapad²peyyassa. So eva½ pabbajito sam±no pañca n²varaºe pah±ya cetaso upakkilese paññ±ya dubbal²karaºe, cat³su satipaµµh±nesu suppatiµµhitacitto, sa-± bojjhaªge yath±bh³ta½ bh±vetv± akaºha½ asukka½ nibb±na½ abhij±yati. So ca hoti abhir³po dassan²yo p±s±diko param±ya vaººapokkharat±ya samann±gato, l±bh² annassa p±nassa vatthassa y±nassa m±l±gandhavilepanassa seyy±vasathapad²peyyassa. So k±yena duccarita½ carati, v±c±ya duccarita½ carati, manas± duccarita½ carati. So ca hoti abhir³po dassan²yo p±s±diko param±ya vaººapokkharat±ya samann±gato, l±bh² annassa p±nassa vatthassa y±nassa m±l±gandhavilepanassa seyy±vasathapad²peyyassa So kesamassu½ oh±retv± k±s±y±ni vatth±ni acch±detv± ag±rasm± anag±riya½ pabbajati.
