55. Eka½ samaya½ bhagav± s±vatthiya½ viharati jetavane an±thapiº¹ikassa ±r±me. Tena kho pana samayena s±vatthiya½ ubho m±t±putt± vass±v±sa½ upagami½su [upasaªkami½su (ka.)]– bhikkhu ca bhikkhun² ca. Te aññamaññassa abhiºha½ dassanak±m± ahesu½. M±t±pi puttassa abhiºha½ dassanak±m± ahosi; puttopi m±tara½ abhiºha½ dassanak±mo ahosi. Tesa½ abhiºha½ dassan± sa½saggo ahosi. Sa½sagge sati viss±so ahosi. Viss±se sati ot±ro ahosi. Te otiººacitt± sikkha½ apaccakkh±ya dubbalya½ an±vikatv± methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevi½su.
Atha kho sambahul± bhikkh³ yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami½su; upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di½su. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho te bhikkh³ bhagavanta½ etadavocu½– “idha, bhante, s±vatthiya½ ubho m±t±putt± vass±v±sa½ upagami½su– bhikkhu ca bhikkhun² ca, te aññamaññassa abhiºha½ dassanak±m± ahesu½, m±t±pi puttassa abhiºha½ dassanak±m± ahosi, puttopi m±tara½ abhiºha½ dassanak±mo ahosi. Tesa½ abhiºha½ dassan± sa½saggo ahosi, sa½sagge sati viss±so ahosi, viss±se sati ot±ro ahosi, te otiººacitt± sikkha½ apaccakkh±ya dubbalya½ an±vikatv± methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevi½s³”ti.
“Ki½ nu so, bhikkhave, moghapuriso maññati– ‘na m±t± putte s±rajjati, putto v± pana m±tar²’ti? N±ha½, bhikkhave, añña½ ekar³pampi samanupass±mi eva½ [ya½ eva½ (s².)] rajan²ya½ eva½ kaman²ya½ eva½ madan²ya½ eva½ bandhan²ya½ eva½ mucchan²ya½ eva½ antar±yakara½ anuttarassa yogakkhemassa adhigam±ya yathayida½, bhikkhave, itthir³pa½. Itthir³pe, bhikkhave, satt± ratt± giddh± gathit± [gadhit± (sy±. p². ka.)] mucchit± ajjhosann± [ajjhopann± (bah³su)]. Te d²gharatta½ socanti itthir³pavas±nug±.
“N±ha½, bhikkhave, añña½ ekasaddampi…pe… ekagandhampi… ekarasampi… ekaphoµµhabbampi samanupass±mi eva½ rajan²ya½ eva½ kaman²ya½ eva½ madan²ya½ eva½ bandhan²ya½ eva½ mucchan²ya½ eva½ antar±yakara½ anuttarassa yogakkhemassa adhigam±ya yathayida½, bhikkhave, itthiphoµµhabba½ Itthiphoµµhabbe, bhikkhave, satt± ratt± giddh± gathit± mucchit± ajjhosann±. Te d²gharatta½ socanti itthiphoµµhabbavas±nug±.
“Itth², bhikkhave, gacchant²pi purisassa citta½ pariy±d±ya tiµµhati; µhit±pi…pe… nisinn±pi… say±n±pi… hasant²pi… bhaºant²pi… g±yant²pi… rodant²pi… uggh±tit±pi [uggh±nit±pi (s².)] … mat±pi purisassa citta½ pariy±d±ya tiµµhati. Yañhi ta½, bhikkhave, samm± vadam±no vadeyya– ‘samantap±so m±rass±’ti m±tug±ma½yeva samm± vadam±no vadeyya– ‘samantap±so m±rass±”’ti.
“Sallape asihatthena, pis±cen±pi sallape;
±s²visampi ±s²de [±sadde (sy±. ka½.)], yena daµµho na j²vati.
“Natveva eko ek±ya, m±tug±mena sallape;
muµµhassati½ t± bandhanti, pekkhitena sitena ca [mhitena ca (sy±. ka½.)].
“Athopi dunnivatthena, mañjun± bhaºitena ca;
neso jano sv±s²sado, api uggh±tito mato.
“Pañca k±maguº± ete, itthir³pasmi½ dissare;
r³p± sadd± ras± gandh±, phoµµhabb± ca manoram±.
“Tesa½ k±moghav³¼h±na½, k±me aparij±nata½;
k±la½ gati [gati½ (s². sy±. ka½. p².)] bhav±bhava½, sa½s±rasmi½ purakkhat±.
“Ye ca k±me pariññ±ya, caranti akutobhay±;
te ve p±raªgat± loke, ye patt± ±savakkhayan”ti. Pañcama½.
