4. K±raºap±l²sutta½

194. Eka½ samaya½ bhagav± ves±liya½ viharati mah±vane k³µ±g±ras±l±ya½. Tena kho pana samayena k±raºap±l² [karaºap±l² (ka.)] br±hmaºo licchav²na½ kammanta½ k±reti. Addas± kho k±raºap±l² br±hmaºo piªgiy±ni½ br±hmaºa½ d³ratova ±gacchanta½; disv± piªgiy±ni½ br±hmaºa½ etadavoca–
“Handa, kuto nu bhava½ piªgiy±n² ±gacchati div± divass±”ti? “Itoha½ [idh±ha½ (sy±. ka½.), ito hi kho aha½ (ma. ni. 1.288)], bho, ±gacch±mi samaºassa gotamassa santik±”ti. “Ta½ ki½ maññati bhava½, piªgiy±n², samaºassa gotamassa paññ±veyyattiya½? Paº¹ito maññe”ti? “Ko c±ha½, bho, ko ca samaºassa gotamassa paññ±veyyattiya½ j±niss±mi! Sopi n³nassa t±disova yo samaºassa gotamassa paññ±veyyattiya½ j±neyy±”ti! “U¼±r±ya khalu bhava½, piªgiy±n², samaºa½ gotama½ pasa½s±ya pasa½sat²”ti. “Ko c±ha½, bho, ko ca samaºa½ gotama½ pasa½siss±mi! Pasatthappasatthova [pasaµµhapasaµµho ca (sy±. ka½. ka.)] so bhava½ gotamo seµµho devamanuss±nan”ti. “Ki½ pana bhava½, piªgiy±n², atthavasa½ sampassam±no samaºe gotame eva½ abhippasanno”ti?
“Seyyath±pi, bho, puriso aggarasaparititto na aññesa½ h²n±na½ ras±na½ piheti; evameva½ kho, bho, yato yato tassa bhoto gotamassa dhamma½ suº±ti– yadi suttaso, yadi geyyaso, yadi veyy±karaºaso, yadi abbhutadhammaso– tato tato na aññesa½ puthusamaºabr±hmaºappav±d±na½ piheti.
“Seyyath±pi, bho, puriso jighacch±dubbalyapareto madhupiº¹ika½ adhigaccheyya. So yato yato s±yetha, labhateva [s±yeyya, labhetheva (ma. ni. 1.205)] s±durasa½ asecanaka½; evameva½ kho, bho, yato yato tassa bhoto gotamassa dhamma½ suº±ti– yadi suttaso, yadi geyyaso, yadi veyy±karaºaso, yadi abbhutadhammaso– tato tato labhateva attamanata½, labhati cetaso pas±da½.
“Seyyath±pi, bho, puriso candanaghaµika½ adhigaccheyya– haricandanassa v± lohitacandanassa v±. So yato yato gh±yetha– yadi m³lato, yadi majjhato, yadi aggato– adhigacchateva [adhigacchetheva (?)] Surabhigandha½ asecanaka½; evameva½ kho, bho, yato yato tassa bhoto gotamassa dhamma½ suº±ti– yadi suttaso, yadi geyyaso, yadi veyy±karaºaso, yadi abbhutadhammaso– tato tato adhigacchati p±mojja½ adhigacchati somanassa½.
“Seyyath±pi, bho, puriso ±b±dhiko dukkhito b±¼hagil±no. Tassa kusalo bhisakko µh±naso ±b±dha½ n²hareyya; evameva½ kho, bho, yato yato tassa bhoto gotamassa dhamma½ suº±ti– yadi suttaso, yadi geyyaso, yadi veyy±karaºaso, yadi abbhutadhammaso– tato tato sokaparidevadukkhadomanassup±y±s± abbhattha½ gacchanti.
“Seyyath±pi bho, pokkharaº² acchodak± s±todak± s²todak± setak± supatitth± ramaº²y±. Atha puriso ±gaccheyya ghamm±bhitatto ghammapareto kilanto tasito pip±sito So ta½ pokkharaºi½ og±hetv± nh±tv± ca pivitv± ca sabbadarathakilamathapari¼±ha½ paµippassambheyya. Evameva½ kho, bho, yato yato tassa bhoto gotamassa dhamma½ suº±ti– yadi suttaso, yadi geyyaso, yadi veyy±karaºaso, yadi abbhutadhammaso– tato tato sabbadarathakilamathapari¼±h± paµippassambhant²”ti.
Eva½ vutte k±raºap±l² br±hmaºo uµµh±y±san± eka½sa½ uttar±saªga½ karitv± dakkhiºa½ j±ºumaº¹ala½ pathaviya½ nihantv± yena bhagav± tenañjali½ paº±metv± tikkhattu½ ud±na½ ud±nesi–
“Namo tassa bhagavato arahato samm±sambuddhassa;
namo tassa bhagavato arahato samm±sambuddhassa;
namo tassa bhagavato arahato samm±sambuddhass±”ti.
“Abhikkanta½, bho piªgiy±ni, abhikkanta½, bho piªgiy±ni! Seyyath±pi, bho piªgiy±ni, nikkujjita½ [nikujjita½ (ka.)] v± ukkujjeyya paµicchanna½ v± vivareyya, m³¼hassa v± magga½ ±cikkheyya andhak±re v± telapajjota½ dh±reyya– cakkhumanto r³p±ni dakkhant²ti; evameva½ bhot± piªgiy±nin± anekapariy±yena dhammo pak±sito. Es±ha½, bho piªgiy±ni, ta½ bhavanta½ gotama½ saraºa½ gacch±mi dhammañca bhikkhusaªghañca. Up±saka½ ma½ bhava½ piªgiy±n² dh±retu, ajjatagge p±ºupeta½ saraºa½ gatan”ti. Catuttha½.
