94. “Catt±rome, bhikkhave, puggal± santo sa½vijjam±n± lokasmi½. Katame catt±ro? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo l±bh² hoti ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa, na l±bh² adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya. Idha pana, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo l±bh² hoti adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya, na l±bh² ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa. Idha pana, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo na ceva l±bh² hoti ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa na ca l±bh² adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya. Idha pana, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo l±bh² ceva hoti ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa l±bh² ca adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya.
“Tatra bhikkhave, yv±ya½ puggalo l±bh² ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa na l±bh² adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya, tena, bhikkhave, puggalena yv±ya½ puggalo l±bh² adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya so upasaªkamitv± evamassa vacan²yo– ‘katha½ nu kho, ±vuso, saªkh±r± daµµhabb±? Katha½ saªkh±r± sammasitabb±? Katha½ saªkh±r± vipassitabb±’ [passitabb± (ka.)] ti? Tassa so yath±diµµha½ yath±vidita½ by±karoti– ‘eva½ kho, ±vuso, saªkh±r± daµµhabb±, eva½ saªkh±r± sammasitabb±, eva½ saªkh±r± vipassitabb±’ti. So aparena samayena l±bh² ceva hoti ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa l±bh² ca adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya.

“Tatra, bhikkhave, yv±ya½ puggalo na ceva l±bh² ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa na ca l±bh² adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya, tena, bhikkhave, puggalena yv±ya½ puggalo l±bh² ceva ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa l±bh² ca adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya so upasaªkamitv± evamassa vacan²yo– ‘katha½ nu kho, ±vuso, citta½ saºµhapetabba½? “Tatra, bhikkhave, yv±ya½ puggalo l±bh² ceva hoti ajjhatta½ cetosamathassa l±bh² adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ya tena, bhikkhave, puggalena tesu ceva kusalesu dhammesu patiµµh±ya uttari ±sav±na½ khay±ya yogo karaº²yo. Ime kho, bhikkhave, catt±ro puggal± santo sa½vijjam±n± lokasmin”ti. Catuttha½.
