234. Atha kho sikh±moggall±no br±hmaºo yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavat± saddhi½ sammodi. Sammodan²ya½ katha½ s±raº²ya½ v²tis±retv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho sikh±moggall±no br±hmaºo bhagavanta½ etadavoca–
“Purim±ni, bho gotama, divas±ni purimatar±ni soºak±yano m±ºavo yen±ha½ tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± ma½ etadavoca– ‘samaºo gotamo sabbakamm±na½ akiriya½ paññapeti, sabbakamm±na½ kho pana akiriya½ paññapento uccheda½ ±ha lokassa– kammasacc±ya½ [kammasacc±y² (ka.)], bho, loko kammasam±rambhaµµh±y²”’ti.
“Dassanampi kho aha½, br±hmaºa, soºak±yanassa m±ºavassa n±bhij±n±mi; kuto panevar³po kath±sall±po! Catt±rim±ni, br±hmaºa, kamm±ni may± saya½ abhiññ± sacchikatv± pavedit±ni. Katam±ni catt±ri? Atthi, br±hmaºa, kamma½ kaºha½ kaºhavip±ka½; atthi, br±hmaºa, kamma½ sukka½ sukkavip±ka½; atthi, br±hmaºa, kamma½ kaºhasukka½ kaºhasukkavip±ka½; atthi br±hmaºa, kamma½ akaºha-asukka½ akaºha-asukkavip±ka½ kammakkhay±ya sa½vattati.
“Katamañca, br±hmaºa, kamma½ kaºha½ kaºhavip±ka½? Idha, br±hmaºa, ekacco saby±bajjha½ k±yasaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti, saby±bajjha½ vac²saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti, saby±bajjha½ manosaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti. So saby±bajjha½ k±yasaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv±, saby±bajjha½ vac²saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv±, saby±bajjha½ manosaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv± saby±bajjha½ loka½ upapajjati. Tamena½ saby±bajjha½ loka½ upapanna½ sam±na½ saby±bajjh± phass± phusanti. So saby±bajjhehi phassehi phuµµho sam±no saby±bajjha½ vedana½ vediyati ekantadukkha½, seyyath±pi satt± nerayik±. Ida½ vuccati, br±hmaºa, kamma½ kaºha½ kaºhavip±ka½.
“Katamañca br±hmaºa, kamma½ sukka½ sukkavip±ka½? Idha, br±hmaºa, ekacco aby±bajjha½ k±yasaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti, aby±bajjha½ vac²saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti, aby±bajjha½ manosaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti. So aby±bajjha½ k±yasaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv±, aby±bajjha½ vac²saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv± aby±bajjha½ manosaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv± aby±bajjha½ loka½ upapajjati. Tamena½ aby±bajjha½ loka½ upapanna½ sam±na½ aby±bajjh± phass± phusanti. So aby±bajjhehi phassehi phuµµho sam±no aby±bajjha½ vedana½ vediyati ekantasukha½, seyyath±pi dev± subhakiºh±. Ida½ vuccati, br±hmaºa, kamma½ sukka½ sukkavip±ka½.
“Katamañca, br±hmaºa, kamma½ kaºhasukka½ kaºhasukkavip±ka½? Idha, br±hmaºa, ekacco saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi k±yasaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti, saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi vac²saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti, saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi manosaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti. So saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi k±yasaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv±, saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi vac²saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv±, saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi manosaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharitv± saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi loka½ upapajjati. Tamena½ saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi loka½ upapanna½ sam±na½ saby±bajjh±pi aby±bajjh±pi phass± phusanti. So saby±bajjhehipi aby±bajjhehipi phassehi phuµµho sam±no saby±bajjhampi aby±bajjhampi vedana½ vediyati vokiººasukhadukkha½, seyyath±pi manuss± ekacce ca dev± ekacce ca vinip±tik±. Ida½ vuccati, br±hmaºa, kamma½ kaºhasukka½ kaºhasukkavip±ka½.
“Katamañca, br±hmaºa, kamma½ akaºha-asukka½ akaºha-asukkavip±ka½ kammakkhay±ya sa½vattati? Tatra, br±hmaºa, yamida½ kamma½ kaºha½ kaºhavip±ka½ tassa pah±n±ya y± cetan±, yamida½ kamma½ sukka½ sukkavip±ka½ tassa pah±n±ya y± cetan±, yamida½ kamma½ kaºhasukka½ kaºhasukkavip±ka½ tassa pah±n±ya y± cetan±– ida½ vuccati, br±hmaºa, kamma½ akaºha-asukka½ akaºha-asukkavip±ka½ kammakkhay±ya sa½vattati. Im±ni kho, br±hmaºa, catt±ri kamm±ni may± saya½ abhiññ± sacchikatv± pavedit±n²”ti. Tatiya½.
