3. Mah±n±masakkasutta½

74. Eva½ me suta½– eka½ samaya½ bhagav± sakkesu viharati kapilavatthusmi½ nigrodh±r±me. Tena kho pana samayena bhagav± gil±n±vuµµhito [gil±navuµµhito (saddan²ti)] hoti aciravuµµhito gelaññ±. Atha kho mah±n±mo sakko yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho mah±n±mo sakko bhagavanta½ etadavoca– “d²gharatt±ha½, bhante, bhagavat± eva½ dhamma½ desita½ ±j±n±mi– ‘sam±hitassa ñ±ºa½, no asam±hitass±’ti. Sam±dhi nu kho, bhante, pubbe, pacch± ñ±ºa½; ud±hu ñ±ºa½ pubbe, pacch± sam±dh²”ti? Atha kho ±yasmato ±nandassa etadahosi– “bhagav± kho gil±navuµµhito aciravuµµhito gelaññ± Ayañca mah±n±mo sakko bhagavanta½ atigambh²ra½ pañha½ pucchati. Ya½n³n±ha½ mah±n±ma½ sakka½ ekamanta½ apanetv± dhamma½ deseyyan”ti.
Atha kho ±yasm± ±nando mah±n±ma½ sakka½ b±h±ya½ gahetv± ekamanta½ apanetv± mah±n±ma½ sakka½ etadavoca– “sekhampi kho, mah±n±ma, s²la½ vutta½ bhagavat±, asekhampi s²la½ vutta½ bhagavat±; sekhopi sam±dhi vutto bhagavat± asekhopi sam±dhi vutto bhagavat±; sekh±pi paññ± vutt± bhagavat±, asekh±pi paññ± vutt± bhagavat±. Katamañca, mah±n±ma sekha½ s²la½? Idha, mah±n±ma, bhikkhu s²lav± hoti p±timokkhasa½varasa½vuto viharati…pe… sam±d±ya sikkhati sikkh±padesu. Ida½ vuccati, mah±n±ma, sekha½ s²la½”.
“Katamo ca, mah±n±ma, sekho sam±dhi? Idha, mah±n±ma, bhikkhu vivicceva k±mehi…pe… catuttha½ jh±na½ upasampajja viharati. Aya½ vuccati, mah±n±ma, sekho sam±dhi.
“Katam± ca, mah±n±ma, sekh± paññ±? Idha, mah±n±ma, bhikkhu ida½ dukkhanti yath±bh³ta½ paj±n±ti…pe… aya½ dukkhanirodhag±min² paµipad±ti yath±bh³ta½ paj±n±ti. Aya½ vuccati, mah±n±ma, sekh± paññ±.
“Sa kho so, mah±n±ma, ariyas±vako eva½ s²lasampanno eva½ sam±dhisampanno eva½ paññ±sampanno ±sav±na½ khay± an±sava½ cetovimutti½ paññ±vimutti½ diµµheva dhamme saya½ abhiññ± sacchikatv± upasampajja viharati. Eva½ kho, mah±n±ma, sekhampi s²la½ vutta½ bhagavat±, asekhampi s²la½ vutta½ bhagavat±; sekhopi sam±dhi vutto bhagavat±, asekhopi sam±dhi vutto bhagavat±; sekh±pi paññ± vutt± bhagavat±, asekh±pi paññ± vutt± bhagavat±”ti.
