Ida½ vutta½ hoti– ime, bhante, amh±ka½ dhamm± pubbe kassapasamm±sambuddhena upp±dit±, tasmi½ parinibbute eka½ buddhantara½ ańńo samaŗo v± br±hmaŗo v± ime dhamme upp±detu½ samattho n±ma n±hosi, bhagavato pana no ime dhamm± upp±dit±. Bhagavantańhi niss±ya maya½ ime dhamme ±j±n±ma paµivijjh±m±ti eva½ bhagava½m³lak± no, bhante, dhamm±ti. Bhagava½nettik±ti bhagav± dhamm±na½ net± vinet± anunet± yath±sabh±vato p±µiyekka½ p±µiyekka½ n±ma½ gahetv±va dasset±ti dhamm± bhagava½nettik± n±ma honti. Apica mah±bodhimaŗ¹e nisinnassa bhagavato paµivedhavasena phasso ±gacchati– “aha½ bhagav± kinn±mo”ti. Tva½ phusanaµµhena phasso n±ma. Vedan±, sańń±, saŖkh±r±, vińń±ŗa½ ±gacchati– “aha½ bhagav± kinn±man”ti. Tva½ vij±nanaµµhena vińń±ŗa½ n±m±ti. Eva½ catubh³makadhamm±na½ yath±sabh±vato p±µiyekka½ p±µiyekka½ n±ma½ gaŗhanto bhagav± dhamme paµisarat²ti bhagava½paµisaraŗ±. Bhagavanta½yeva paµibh±t³ti bhagavatova etassa bh±sitassa attho upaµµh±tu, tumheyeva no kathetv± deth±ti attho.
R±go khoti rajjanavasena pavattar±go. Appas±vajjoti lokavajjavasenapi vip±kavajjavasenap²ti dv²hipi vajjehi appas±vajjo, appadosoti attho. Katha½? M±t±pitaro hi bh±tibhagini-±dayo ca puttabh±tik±na½ ±v±haviv±hamaŖgala½ n±ma k±renti. Eva½ t±veso lokavajjavasena appas±vajjo. Tatrida½ vatthu– eko kira puriso bh±tu j±y±ya micch±c±ra½ carati. Tass±pi itthiy± attano s±mikato soyeva piyataro ahosi. S± tam±ha– “imasmi½ k±raŗe p±kaµe j±te mahat² garah± bhavissati, tava bh±tika½ gh±teh²”ti. So “nassa, vasali, m± eva½ puna avac±”ti apas±desi. S± tuŗh² hutv± katip±haccayena puna kathesi, tassa citta½ dvajjhabh±va½ agam±si. Tato tatiyav±ra½ kathito “kinti katv± ok±sa½ labhiss±m²”ti ±ha. Athassa s± up±ya½ kathent² “tva½ may± vuttameva karohi, asukaµµh±ne mah±kakudhasam²pe tittha½ atthi, tattha tikhiŗa½ daŗ¹akav±si½ gahetv± tiµµh±h²”ti. So tath± ak±si. Jeµµhabh±t±pissa arańńe kamma½ katv± ghara½ ±gato. S± tasmi½ muducitt± viya hutv± “ehi s±mi s²se te olikhiss±m²”ti olikhant² “upakkiliµµha½ te s²san”ti ±malakapiŗ¹a½ datv± “gaccha asukaµµh±ne s²sa½ dhovitv± ±gacch±h²”ti pesesi. So t±ya vuttatitthameva gantv± ±malakakakkena s²sa½ makkhetv± udaka½ oruyha onamitv± s²sa½ dhovi. Atha na½ itaro rukkhantarato nikkhamitv± khandhaµµhike paharitv± j²vit± voropetv± geha½ agam±si.
Itaro bhariy±ya sineha½ pariccajitumasakkonto tasmi½yeva gehe mah±dhammani hutv± nibbatti. So tass± µhit±yapi nisinn±yapi gantv± sar²re patati. Atha na½ s± “soyeva aya½ bhavissat²”ti gh±t±pesi. So puna tass± sinehena tasmi½yeva gehe kukkuro hutv± nibbatti. So padas± gamanak±lato paµµh±ya tass± pacchato pacchato carati. Arańńa½ gacchantiy±pi saddhi½yeva gacchati. Ta½ disv± manuss± “nikkhanto sunakhaluddako, kataraµµh±na½ gamissat²”ti uppaŗ¹enti. S± puna ta½ gh±t±pesi.
Sopi puna tasmi½yeva gehe vacchako hutv± nibbatti. Tatheva tass± pacchato pacchato carati. Tad±pi na½ manuss± disv± “nikkhanto gop±lako, kattha g±viyo carissant²”ti uppaŗ¹enti. S± tasmimpi µh±ne ta½ gh±t±pesi. So tad±pi tass± upari sineha½ chinditu½ asakkonto catutthe v±re tass±yeva kucchiya½ j±tissaro hutv± nibbatti. So paµip±µiy± cat³su attabh±vesu t±ya gh±titabh±va½ disv± “evar³p±ya n±ma paccatthik±ya kucchismi½ nibbattosm²”ti tato paµµh±ya tass± hatthena att±na½ phusitu½ na deti. Sace na½ s± phusati, kandati rodati. Atha na½ ayyakova paµijaggati. Ta½ aparabh±ge vuddhippatta½ ayyako ±ha– “t±ta, kasm± tva½ m±tu hatthena att±na½ phusitu½ na desi. Sacepi ta½ phusati, mah±saddena rodasi kandas²”ti. Ayyakena puµµho “na es± mayha½ m±t±, pacc±mitt± es±”ti ta½ pavatti½ sabba½ ±rocesi. So ta½ ±liŖgitv± roditv± “ehi, t±ta, ki½ amh±ka½ ²dise µh±ne niv±sakiccan”ti ta½ ±d±ya nikkhamitv± eka½ vih±ra½ gantv± pabbajitv± ubhopi tattha vasant± arahatta½ p±puŗi½su.
Mah±s±vajjoti lokavajjavasenapi vip±kavajjavasenap²ti dv²hipi k±raŗehi mah±s±vajjo. Katha½? Dosena hi duµµho hutv± m±taripi aparajjhati, pitaripi bh±tibhagini-±d²supi pabbajitesupi. So gatagataµµh±nesu “aya½ puggalo m±t±pit³supi aparajjhati, bh±tibhagini-±d²supi, pabbajitesup²”ti mahati½ garaha½ labhati. Eva½ t±va lokavajjavasena mah±s±vajjo. Dosavasena pana katena ±nantariyakammena kappa½ niraye paccati. Eva½ vip±kavajjavasena mah±s±vajjo. Khippavir±g²ti khippa½ virajjati. Dosena hi duµµho m±t±pit³supi cetiyepi bodhimhipi pabbajitesupi aparajjhitv± “mayha½ khamath±”ti. Accaya½ deseti. Tassa saha kham±panena ta½ kamma½ p±katikameva hoti.
Mohopi dv²heva k±raŗehi mah±s±vajjo. Mohena hi m³¼ho hutv± m±t±pit³supi cetiyepi bodhimhipi pabbajitesupi aparajjhitv± gatagataµµh±ne garaha½ labhati. Eva½ t±va lokavajjavasena mah±s±vajjo. Mohavasena pana katena ±nantariyakammena kappa½ niraye paccati. Eva½ vip±kavajjavasenapi mah±s±vajjo. Dandhavir±g²ti saŗika½ virajjati. Mohena m³¼hena hi katakamma½ saŗika½ muccati. Yath± hi acchacamma½ satakkhattumpi dhoviyam±na½ na paŗ¹ara½ hoti, evameva mohena m³¼hena katakamma½ s²gha½ na muccati, saŗikameva muccat²ti. Sesamettha utt±namev±ti.
