Purimay±makiccapariyos±ne pana bhikkh³su bhagavanta½ vanditv± pakkantesu sakaladasasahassilokadh±tudevat±yo ok±sa½ labham±n± bhagavanta½ upasaŖkamitv± pańha½ pucchanti yath±bhisaŖkhata½ antamaso caturakkharampi. Bhagav± t±sa½ devat±na½ pańha½ vissajjento majjhimay±ma½ v²tin±meti. Ida½ majjhimay±makicca½.
Pacchimay±ma½ pana tayo koµµh±se katv± purebhattato paµµh±ya nisajj±p²¼itassa sar²rassa kil±subh±vamocanattha½ eka½ koµµh±sa½ caŖkamena v²tin±meti, dutiyakoµµh±se gandhakuµi½ pavisitv± dakkhiŗena passena sato sampaj±no s²haseyya½ kappeti. Tańhi veyy±karaŗa½ sutv± saµµhimatt±na½ bhikkh³na½ n±mak±yo santatto, n±mak±ye santatte karajak±yo santatto, karajak±ye santatte nidh±nagata½ uŗha½ lohita½ mukhato uggańchi. Ima½ pana satthu dhammadesana½ sutv± devasaŖgh± yehipi sut±, yehipi na sut±, sabbesa½yeva ±rocent± vicari½su. Bhikkh³ sutv± sutv± “dukkara½, bho, buddh±na½ s±sane y±vaj²va½ paripuŗŗa½ parisuddha½ brahmacariya½ caritun”ti ekakkhaŗeneva dasapi bhikkh³ v²satipi saµµhipi satampi sahassampi bhikkh³ gih² honti. Satth± yath±ruciy± c±rika½ caritv± puna jetavanameva ±gantv± bhikkh³ ±mantesi– “bhikkhave, tath±gato c±rika½ caram±no cira½ ±kiŗŗo vih±si, icch±maha½, bhikkhave, a¹¹ham±sa½ paµisall²yitu½, n±mhi kenaci upasaŖkamitabbo ańńatra ekena piŗ¹ap±tan²h±raken±”ti. Etarahi bhagav± tumh±ka½ aggikkhandhopamadhammadesana½ kathitak±lato paµµh±ya bhikkh³ sa½vegappatt± hutv± “maya½ eta½ dhamma½ sabbappak±rena parip³retu½ na sakkhiss±ma, asamm±vattant±nańca janassa saddh±deyya½ paribhuńjitu½ ayuttan”ti gihibh±va½ saŖkamant²ti.
Tasmi½ khaŗe bhagavato dhammasa½vego uppajji. Tato thera½ ±ha– “mayi paµisall±ne v²tin±mente na koci mama putt±na½ eka½ ass±saµµh±na½ kathesi. S±garassa hi otaraŗatitth±ni viya bah³ni imasmi½ s±sane ass±sak±raŗ±ni. Gacch±nanda, gandhakuµipariveŗe buddh±sana½ pańń±petv± bhikkhusaŖgha½ sannip±teh²”ti. Thero tath± ak±si. Satth± buddh±sanavaragato bhikkh³ ±mantetv±, “bhikkhave, mett±ya sabbapubbabh±go n±ma neva appan±, na upac±ro, satt±na½ hitapharaŗamattamev±”ti vatv± imiss± aµµhuppattiy± ima½ c³¼acchar±saŖgh±tasutta½ desesi.
Tattha acchar±saŖgh±tamattanti acchar±paharaŗamatta½, dve aŖguliyo paharitv± saddakaraŗamattanti attho. Mett±cittanti sabbasatt±na½ hitapharaŗacitta½. ¾sevat²ti katha½ ±sevati? ¾vajjento ±sevati, j±nanto ±sevati, passanto ±sevati, paccavekkhanto ±sevati, citta½ adhiµµhahanto ±sevati, saddh±ya adhimuccanto ±sevati, v²riya½ paggaŗhanto ±sevati, sati½ upaµµh±pento ±sevati, citta½ sam±dahanto ±sevati, pańń±ya paj±nanto ±sevati, abhińńeyya½ abhij±nanto ±sevati, parińńeyya½ parij±nanto ±sevati, pah±tabba½ pajahanto ±sevati, bh±vetabba½ bh±vento ±sevati, sacchik±tabba½ sacchikaronto ±sevat²ti (paµi. ma. 2.2). Paribhuńjat²ti catt±ro paribhog± theyyaparibhogo iŗaparibhogo d±yajjaparibhogo s±miparibhogoti. Tattha duss²lassa paribhogo theyyaparibhogo n±ma. S²lavato apaccavekkhitaparibhogo iŗaparibhogo n±ma. Sattanna½ sekkh±na½ paribhogo d±yajjaparibhog± n±ma. Kh²ŗ±savassa paribhogo s±miparibhogo n±ma. Tattha imassa bhikkhuno aya½ raµµhapiŗ¹aparibhogo dv²hi k±raŗehi amogho hoti. Acchar±saŖgh±tamattampi mett±citta½ ±sevanto bhikkhu raµµhapiŗ¹assa s±miko hutv±, aŗaŗo hutv±, d±y±do hutv± paribhuńjat²tipissa amogho raµµhapiŗ¹aparibhogo. Acchar±saŖgh±tamattampi metta½ ±sevantassa bhikkhuno dinnad±na½ mahaµµhiya½ hoti mahapphala½ mah±nisa½sa½ mah±jutika½ mah±vipph±rantipissa amogho raµµhapiŗ¹aparibhogo. Ko pana v±do ye na½ bahul²karont²ti ye pana ima½ mett±citta½ bahula½ ±sevanti bh±venti punappuna½ karonti, te amogha½ raµµhapiŗ¹a½ paribhuńjant²ti ettha vattabbameva ki½? Evar³p± hi bhikkh³ raµµhapiŗ¹assa s±mino aŗaŗ± d±y±d± hutv± paribhuńjant²ti.
54-55. Catutthe bh±vet²ti upp±deti va¹¹heti. Pańcame manasi karot²ti manasmi½ karoti. Sesa½ imesu dv²supi tatiye vuttanayeneva veditabba½. Yo hi ±sevati, ayameva bh±veti, aya½ manasi karoti. Yena cittena ±sevati, teneva bh±veti, tena manasi karoti.
