984. “¾n±p±nassatisam±dhi bhikkhave, bh±vito bahul²kato mahapphalo hoti mah±nisa½so. Katha½ bh±vito ca, bhikkhave, ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi katha½ bahul²kato mahapphalo hoti mah±nisa½so?
“Idha bhikkhave, bhikkhu araññagato v± rukkham³lagato v± suññ±g±ragato v± nis²dati pallaªka½ ±bhujitv± uju½ k±ya½ paºidh±ya parimukha½ sati½ upaµµhapetv±. So satova assasati, satova passasati. D²gha½ v± assasanto ‘d²gha½ assas±m²’ti paj±n±ti…pe… ‘paµinissagg±nupass² assasiss±m²’ti sikkhati, ‘paµinissagg±nupass² passasiss±m²’ti sikkhati. Eva½ bh±vito kho, bhikkhave, ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi eva½ bahul²kato mahapphalo hoti mah±nisa½so.
“Ahampi suda½, bhikkhave, pubbeva sambodh± anabhisambuddho bodhisattova sam±no imin± vih±rena bahula½ vihar±mi. Tassa mayha½, bhikkhave, imin± vih±rena bahula½ viharato neva k±yo kilamati na cakkh³ni; anup±d±ya ca me ±savehi citta½ vimucci.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘neva me k±yo kilameyya na cakkh³ni, anup±d±ya ca me ±savehi citta½ vimucceyy±’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘ye me gehasit± sarasaªkapp± te pah²yeyyun’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘appaµik³le paµik³lasaññ² vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘paµik³le appaµik³lasaññ² vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘paµik³le ca appaµik³le ca paµik³lasaññ² vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘paµik³le ca appaµik³le ca appaµik³lasaññ² vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘appaµik³lañca paµik³lañca tadubhaya½ abhinivajjetv± upekkhako vihareyya½ sato sampaj±no’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘vivicceva k±mehi vivicca akusalehi dhammehi savitakka½ savic±ra½ vivekaja½ p²tisukha½ paµhama½ jh±na½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘vitakkavic±r±na½ v³pasam± ajjhatta½ sampas±dana½ cetaso ekodibh±va½ avitakka½ avic±ra½ sam±dhija½ p²tisukha½ dutiya½ jh±na½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘p²tiy± ca vir±g± upekkhako ca vihareyya½ sato ca sampaj±no, sukhañca k±yena paµisa½vedeyya½, ya½ ta½ ariy± ±cikkhanti– upekkhako satim± sukhavih±r²ti tatiya½ jh±na½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘sukhassa ca pah±n± dukkhassa ca pah±n± pubbeva somanassadomanass±na½ atthaªgam± adukkhamasukha½ upekkh±satip±risuddhi½ catuttha½ jh±na½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘sabbaso r³pasaññ±na½ samatikkam± paµighasaññ±na½ atthaªgam± n±nattasaññ±na½ amanasik±r± ananto ±k±soti ±k±s±nañc±yatana½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘sabbaso ±k±s±nañc±yatana½ samatikkamma ananta½ viññ±ºanti viññ±ºañc±yatana½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘sabbaso viññ±ºañc±yatana½ samatikkamma natthi kiñc²ti ±kiñcaññ±yatana½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘sabbaso ±kiñcaññ±yatana½ samatikkamma nevasaññ±n±saññ±yatana½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Tasm±tiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ±kaªkheyya– ‘sabbaso nevasaññ±n±saññ±yatana½ samatikkamma saññ±vedayitanirodha½ upasampajja vihareyyan’ti, ayameva ±n±p±nassatisam±dhi s±dhuka½ manasi k±tabbo.
“Eva½ bh±vite kho, bhikkhave, ±n±p±nassatisam±dhimhi eva½ bahul²kate, sukha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, s± ‘anicc±’ti paj±n±ti, ‘anajjhosit±’ti paj±n±ti, ‘anabhinandit±’ti paj±n±ti; dukkha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, ‘s± anicc±’ti paj±n±ti, ‘anajjhosit±’ti paj±n±ti, ‘anabhinandit±’ti paj±n±ti; adukkhamasukha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, ‘s± anicc±’ti paj±n±ti, ‘anajjhosit±’ti paj±n±ti, ‘anabhinandit±’ti paj±n±ti”.
“Sukha½ [so sukha½ (s². sy±. ka½. p².) ma. ni. 3.364 aµµhakath±µ²k± oloketabb±] ce vedana½ vedayati, visa½yutto na½ vedayati; dukkha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, visa½yutto na½ vedayati; adukkhamasukha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, visa½yutto na½ vedayati. So k±yapariyantika½ vedana½ vedayam±no ‘k±yapariyantika½ vedana½ veday±m²’ti paj±n±ti, j²vitapariyantika½ vedana½ vedayam±no ‘j²vitapariyantika½ vedana½ veday±m²’ti paj±n±ti, ‘k±yassa bhed± uddha½ j²vitapariy±d±n± idheva sabbavedayit±ni anabhinandit±ni s²t²bhavissant²’ti paj±n±ti”.
“Seyyath±pi, bhikkhave, telañca paµicca, vaµµiñca paµicca telappad²po jh±yeyya, tasseva telassa ca vaµµiy± ca pariy±d±n± an±h±ro nibb±yeyya; evameva kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±yapariyantika½ vedana½ vedayam±no ‘k±yapariyantika½ vedana½ veday±m²’ti paj±n±ti, j²vitapariyantika½ vedana½ vedayam±no ‘j²vitapariyantika½ vedana½ veday±m²’ti paj±n±ti, ‘k±yassa bhed± uddha½ j²vitapariy±d±n± idheva sabbavedayit±ni anabhinandit±ni s²t²bhavissant²’ti paj±n±t²”ti.
