376. Atha kho ±yasm± ±nando pubbaºhasamaya½ niv±setv± pattac²varam±d±ya yena aññataro bhikkhunupassayo tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± paññatte ±sane nis²di. Atha kho sambahul± bhikkhuniyo yen±yasm± ±nando tenupasaªkami½su; upasaªkamitv± ±yasmanta½ ±nanda½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di½su. Ekamanta½ nisinn± kho t± bhikkhuniyo ±yasmanta½ ±nanda½ etadavocu½–
“Idha, bhante ±nanda, sambahul± bhikkhuniyo cat³su satipaµµh±nesu suppatiµµhitacitt± [supaµµhitacitt± (s². p². ka.)] viharantiyo u¼±ra½ pubben±para½ visesa½ sañj±nant²”ti [sampaj±nant²ti (ka.)]. “Evameta½ bhaginiyo, evameta½, bhaginiyo! Yo hi koci, bhaginiyo, bhikkhu v± bhikkhun² v± cat³su satipaµµh±nesu suppatiµµhitacitto viharati, tasseta½ p±µikaªkha½– ‘u¼±ra½ pubben±para½ visesa½ sañj±nissat²”’ti.
Atha kho ±yasm± ±nando t± bhikkhuniyo dhammiy± kath±ya sandassetv± sam±dapetv± samuttejetv± sampaha½setv± uµµh±y±san± pakk±mi. Atha kho ±yasm± ±nando s±vatthiya½ piº¹±ya caritv± pacch±bhatta½ piº¹ap±tapaµikkanto yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami½; upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di½. Eva½ vutt±ha½, bhante, t± bhikkhuniyo etadavoca½– ‘evameta½, bhaginiyo, evameta½, bhaginiyo! “Evameta½, ±nanda, evameta½, ±nanda! Yo hi koci, ±nanda, bhikkhu v± bhikkhun² v± cat³su satipaµµh±nesu suppatiµµhitacitto viharati, tasseta½ p±µikaªkha½– ‘u¼±ra½ pubben±para½ visesa½ sañj±nissati”’ [sañj±nissat²ti (bah³su)].
“Katamesu cat³su? Idh±nanda, bhikkhu k±ye k±y±nupass² viharati ±t±p² sampaj±no satim±, vineyya loke abhijjh±domanassa½. Tassa k±ye k±y±nupassino viharato k±y±rammaºo v± uppajjati k±yasmi½ pari¼±ho, cetaso v± l²natta½, bahiddh± v± citta½ vikkhipati. Ten±nanda [tenah±nanda (s².)], bhikkhun± kismiñcideva pas±dan²ye nimitte citta½ paºidahitabba½. Tassa kismiñcideva pas±dan²ye nimitte citta½ paºidahato p±mojja½ j±yati. Pamuditassa p²ti j±yati. P²timanassa k±yo passambhati. Passaddhak±yo sukha½ vedayati [vediyati (s².)]. Sukhino citta½ sam±dhiyati. So iti paµisañcikkhati– ‘yassa khv±ha½ atth±ya citta½ paºidahi½, so me attho abhinipphanno. Handa, d±ni paµisa½har±m²’ti. So paµisa½harati ceva na ca vitakketi na ca vic±reti. ‘Avitakkomhi avic±ro, ajjhatta½ satim± sukhamasm²’ti paj±n±ti”.
“Puna capara½, ±nanda, bhikkhu vedan±su…pe… citte…pe… dhammesu dhamm±nupass² viharati ±t±p² sampaj±no satim±, vineyya loke abhijjh±domanassa½. Tassa dhammesu dhamm±nupassino viharato dhamm±rammaºo v± uppajjati k±yasmi½ pari¼±ho, cetaso v± l²natta½, bahiddh± v± citta½ vikkhipati. Ten±nanda, bhikkhun± kismiñcideva pas±dan²ye nimitte citta½ paºidahitabba½. Tassa kismiñcideva pas±dan²ye nimitte citta½ paºidahato p±mojja½ j±yati Pamuditassa p²ti j±yati. Atha ca pana ‘k±ye k±y±nupass² vihar±mi ±t±p² sampaj±no satim± sukhamasm²’ti paj±n±ti. Bahiddh±, ±nanda, bhikkhu citta½ appaºidh±ya ‘appaºihita½ me bahiddh± cittan’ti paj±n±ti. Atha pacch±pure ‘asa½khitta½ vimutta½ appaºihitan’ti paj±n±ti. Atha ca pana ‘vedan±su vedan±nupass² vihar±mi ±t±p² sampaj±no satim± sukhamasm²’ti paj±n±ti. Bahiddh±, ±nanda, bhikkhu citta½ appaºidh±ya ‘appaºihita½ me bahiddh± cittan’ti paj±n±ti. Atha pacch±pure ‘asa½khitta½ vimutta½ appaºihitan’ti paj±n±ti. Atha ca pana ‘citte citt±nupass² vihar±mi ±t±p² sampaj±no satim± sukhamasm²’ti paj±n±ti. Bahiddh±, ±nanda, bhikkhu citta½ appaºidh±ya ‘appaºihita½ me bahiddh± cittan’ti paj±n±ti. Atha pacch±pure ‘asa½khitta½ vimutta½ appaºihitan’ti paj±n±ti. Atha ca pana ‘dhammesu dhamm±nupass² vihar±mi ±t±p² sampaj±no satim± sukhamasm²’ti paj±n±ti. Eva½ kho, ±nanda, appaºidh±ya bh±van± hoti.
“Iti kho, ±nanda, desit± may± paºidh±ya bh±van±, desit± appaºidh±ya bh±van±. Ya½, ±nanda, satth±r± karaº²ya½ s±vak±na½ hitesin± anukampakena anukampa½ up±d±ya, kata½ vo ta½ may±. Et±ni, ±nanda, rukkham³l±ni, et±ni suññ±g±r±ni! Jh±yath±nanda, m± pam±dattha; m± pacch± vippaµis±rino ahuvattha! Aya½ vo amh±ka½ anus±san²”ti.
